Perfect location - super budget!”
On off-peak days, Paragayo is super cheap and super worth it. Some rooms have weak AC but they've managed to add an extra fan. Not for you if the street noise bother you, but overall, it's super worth it with the price. 2nd time booking and wouldn't mind coming back, I just hope they'd provide free drinking water really. Hope the manager get to read this. But as always, thanks for a greaaaat stay!
Thank you Paragayo!”
Our room size was exactly what we wanted. The only problem we encountered was the water heater and that the room was near the road - we can hear the band playing all the way up to 1:00 AM. But we would like to commend the hotel staff, they were very courteous and helpful. They were the ones who made the difference in Paragayo - kudos!
Excellent location, good price near Alona beach, bars and restaurants ”
Pros - good location, clean, nice garden area, helpful staff Cons - internet not so good and you can hear loud music at night from one of the nearby bars
Poor internet reception.. please provide more wifi access points
Great location & a great value. My room was comfortable & clean. They seem to keep the room & the grounds very clean. You save money, but don't expect free toothbrushes, shampoo, or even bottled water in the rooms. The worst thing is the WiFi & only is available in the lobby. My room did have a tv, which I never used. You are in easy walking distance to Alona Beach & many fine places to eat. I feel this is a real find for the money.
The first night was kind of a disappointment. There were bed bugs on both beds. The room was outdated (note: box TV) and the water pressure was low. On the next day, the staff moved us to a different room without much discussion or fuss. The second room was alright and still a bit outdated. You basically get what you pay for. One good thing is that this resort is a few min walk away from the beach and restaurants.
Pros: location is very good. Near restaurants and is a 5-minute walk to the beach. Room is also very clean. Cons: some basic amenities are lacking. Only had handsoap in the room. No free bottled water but has service water near the common CR.
Perfect for budget but can do better”
If you can provide free drinking water for the guests, that would be most appreciated (kind of hassle to buy expensive bottled water around Alona). Love the location since the beach is so close but might not be for people who prefer peace and quiet since this is along highway (can hear karaoke/music all night). The rooms are kept clean, thanks to the housekeeping / aircon works perfect/ there's a fridge! Maybe provide guests with a kettle for hot water/ coffee cups too? They sell the cheapest beer btw. Despite some of the inconvenience experienced, I would love to stay here again. The staff were polite, courteous :) Thanks for a comfortable stay.
Look this is not the Ritz - its charming, basic but adequate and let’s face it for this type of holiday you want something in a great position, which it is and at a good price, which it is, so you can’t complain. We use it regularly and we can’t say more that that really. Thanks the Paragayo.
It was a good kind of location if you don’t want a beachfront hotel and good value for money.”
However, the shower 🚿 knob came off and the water is not just salty it was giving off a really bad smell. It was like the water pipes are leaking into the sewers or vice versa. That was the kind of smell the water has. It was clear though but salty and sticky after a bath. Good thing we were there for a night only. We moved to another hotel after 1night. I got diarrhea probably due to the water from the faucet I used in brushing my teeth. Won’t definitely be back. We booked an executive family room although the price is a little lower than the place—still its their water system that gives the hotel a yucky feel. This is one of those hotels that look good in the outside—rooms, beds, ambiance but yucky inside.
Totally worth the price!!”
The location is fantastic!! It’s about five mins walking to the Alona beach. And lots of restaurants and convenient shops nearby let along bars. There’s also a Donut shop just next to the resort. You guys should try the ice choco there. However, the air conditioner is noisy when you turn it to 10. You’d better keep it under 4 to avoid the lousiness. And they don’t have hair drier( troublesome for girls..) the showering water is salty which means I need to buy clean water everyday for drinking brushing and washing my face. Overall it’s worthy.
The staff are very accommodating and the room is large for our group. Location is walking distance to Alona beach and is near to many restaurants. We will definitely stay here again when we go back to Bohol.
near alona Beach and clean rooms”
It's really nice here, accommodating and helpful staff, but the only problem is when I booked single beds. some rooms are not available for that. just the queen size bed. the students don't want to sleep beside with other person.
A clean hotel nearby alona beach”
The room is big with 2 beds, and the aircon is powerful. It is closed to the Alona beach and many restaurants around it, also a market beside it. The only problem is a little noisy in the night because there is a bar nearby. The wifi is so weak in the room. I have to sit in the garden to access internet. In all it is a good place to stay with affordable price , if you go island hopping or travel in the day time.
Very old and very small room. Smells on humidity. All my stuff got wet for 3 days. My bag, my clothes etc. No place to put your belongings. Mold old and very uncomfortable. Only good was that it's just in the center.
Smelly rooms! ”
Pros: Really cheap hotel. Located beside a lot of restaurants so eating out is just a breeze and just right off the street going to the beach. Cons: They have smelly rooms! Bed is horrible! Feels really old and squeaky and you'll start itching in the morning when you get up. Bathroom is really terrible! Smells really bad and the room has lots of mosquitos. Not really ideal for families because kids can inhale the strong smoke odor (maybe from the bed?)
Room ok, quiet central location”
Pros - central, quiet - set at back of property off main road noise. Aircon good, bed good, room clean Con- wifi realllly slow, water a little salty (must be sea water filtered but still a lil salty n sticky) staff gave us looks the whole time we were at reception using wifi to organise other accommodation in the rain (your in the hospitality service industry people!! How bout a little hospitality!!) Cold water only shower
Great location right at the crossroads of town close to the beach restaurants diving shops & Bars. The hotel was clean air con works and you have hot water good buy for the money
Very convenient walk to Alona beach.
The "Motel 6" of hotels around Alona Beach”
Lets first start with the good things about this hotel. Comfortable bed, and a warm/hot shower in the morning. 5-minute walk to the beach and all the locations near Alona Beach. This is a no extras hotel, much like the Motel 6 in the United States. No breakfast. Now the not so fun things: Had to pay extra for additional pillows. The original pillows in the room were worn out. No internet for most of the stay. Last day, the internet was there but not very good. The air conditioning may have kept the room at 25 degrees C, or 77 degrees F at best. I did have a thermometer in the room to check. This place was not fancy but was clean. I would stay there again, provided I got word from the hotel the internet was working.
