The location was perfect during my stay at Paris Hotel de France. The staff was very attentive and helpful. If I go back to Paris I’ll definitely stay at this place without a doubt. Thank you guys!!!

Clean and Comfortable”
Hotel is fine, only issue was the sound proofing of rooms. I could hear everything going on in the room next to me! Also showers are quite small, if you are anywhere on the larger side I'm not sure you could use it. Overall room was modern, clean and neat, hotel is in good location to nord de est station and even gare de nord if you don't mind walking an extra 5 minutes. Service was helpful, no issues with English.

Most basic you can get”
Hotel is located near Gare du Nord. While very cheap you get what you pay for. Room looked like a prison cell, possibly the most basic i staid for many years. Positively Wifi worked well and room was reasonably clean. If you really do not mind extremely basic settings and look to safe every penny you have you can consider, otherwise there are better options even at the low price.

I recommend this hotel for a traveler making a quick stop in Paris. It was my first visit to Paris, and when I first got to the hotel, I was a bit wary as its a tiny place and the neighborhood seemed a bit iffy. But my expectations were greatly exceeded. The staff were very friendly and helpful; the room was small but very clean and comfortable; the bathroom was tiny but again very clean; and the wifi was fast. The neighborhood has a lot of restaurants and bars, and is quite lively at night. All in all, I would recommend the double-room if you want to be comfortable while on a tight budget.

Central area but disappoints in every other”
CONS: got it with a price drop, which turned out was not actually a proper one, and did not worth any of this facility: extremely small rooms, floor is frayed, corners and floor not clean, paint on walls falling down, cracks on walls, lights not working etc. TV was unwatchable as set top box was not connected as there is only one electrical outlet near the tv which was taken by it. Useless. Bathroom is again, small, it has a semi transparent slide glass door which just simply won't stay closed. Staff was mainly communicative, but the person in charge in the morning i left was very grumpy, knew no english and even sweared and yelled at me. PROS: as said, hotel is central. Bed is comfy. Sheets were clean. Towels also. I am not a picky person. Even the size of the room and bathroom would have been fine (as in Paris you don't stay inside a lot). It all just gives a bit of abandoned feeling. They only concentrate on the very basic when cleaning: sheets and towels.

Good location”
It is cheap hotel, and we did not expect high class. However, there are some deficiencies I would like to mention. Breakfast was only hard bread with some jam and nutella, also coffe and orange juice. So don't be tempted by breakfast included into the room price. The door of the shower was broken, so bathroom floor was flooded after each shower. Some lamps in the room did not work, we checked few swtiches until found one that works.

1.the hotel is near the metro station but there's no lift or escalator at station. neither did the hotel. and the stair is so narrow! 2.there's no hairdryer in the room you have to take it from reception, it's so not convenient. 3.Wifi registration you have to change your safari page address to {google.fr} first

Barely worth one star, not three star”
Terribly run down hotel. Painted tiles on the floor with the paint peeling away in the room. Faucet half unscrewed, shower not well functioning, small bed. Walk up 4 floors in tiny staircase with your luggage. Hotel attendant could hardly speak or understand any French. I was ashamed to have booked such a lousy hotel for a night in Paris with my wife. Photos are misleading.

Phillip from Austria must have been in a different hotel because the one we stayed in had the remains of the elevator walled off, and completely inaccessible. The stairs are uneven, curved and dangerous for people with luggage. The ceiling of our room was severely stained with water leaking from an unknown source. The room was far too dark, even with all lights on. The toilet was too close to the handbasin (ie 2 cm). The bathroom door was essentially transparent. The shower curtain rings didn't slide. There was no remote for the TV. When I asked for one, I was told we could operate it manually. But the TV was about 2.3 m above the ground, and apart from the power switch, none of the controls was visible. There was a stench in the hallway outside the room. Biscuits we had in the room were nibbled by a rat in the night. The bed was OK. The shower was OK, after you worked out how to change the diverter tap, whose handle was missing. Many of the staff were polite.

Cheap hotel at decent location, so my demands were not high. However, my low standards were still not met. My main concern is that the toilet and bedroom were separated by a glass sliding door that slid open by itself. In other words: the bedroom and toilet were not separated, so the toilet was actually "located in your bedroom", resulting in lack of privacy. The staff did not seem interested or friendly. I get that luxury cannot be demanded for this price, but the basics should be there. Upside: decent (and free) breakfast. Please, just work on hospitality and make sure there are doors in the toilets.

Never again ”
I really didn't expect much when I booked this hotel, so for a hotel to perform below my expectations is quite difficult. I knew there was no elevator, so I expected a little hike. I did not however, expect to end up at the top (no view), which is the 6th floor. It is very exhausting to climb up the very steep and narrow stair cases, especially with your luggage. In the morning I would get ready, have breakfast downstairs (very basic, jam baguette, coffee, orange juice) and then leave for the day. I would not climb back up to the room to brush my teeth etc. This is something I never do, but I just didn't want to go back up again. Btw I am physically in shape, I run a marathon in a little over 3 hours. After a long day in the cold, a hot shower is great. After turning on the water I thought there was no hot water, then I realized, that I just need to give it some time. After 5 minutes I was able to finally have a hot shower. In the bathroom and the room itself there was mold on the ceiling. Furthermore the heater seemed to be turned off, so I managed to open the broken valve. I realized during the night that the room never really heated up, which means that the heating didn't work. I complained about this the following day after getting back late at night. The gentleman at the front desk acted surprised and told me that he will have it checked by someone the next day. I then asked for an extra blanket. I was told that they wouldn't have any, but he could give me a bed sheet… really no extra blankets…?!? I wanted to visit the palace in Versailles. I had figured out how to get there, but wanted to quickly verify with the front desk. I turned out that I knew more than he did. It literarily took him over 5 minutes searching various web pages to just confirm what I already knew.
