“Major condescenion”
The first night, I was very pleased with the level of cleanliness. Next morning, I asked about the second night possibly, and the girl who checked me out condescendingly and scornfully told me that normally, the room I stayed in would be in the three hundred dollars something, and that they don't renew and etc. She said I got the room through 3rd party at such cheap price and acted like I don't deserve such kindness from likes of her and her hotel. Is this the way this hotel trains their front desk staff? I also heard that front desk staffs here make huge amount of extra funds on the side by getting tips from customers. Would she have treated me better if I had tipped her? Tips are when the staff go out of his or her way for the customer service, not for the normal customary duty. They seem to expect it as their entitled due even though they only perform regular check in and check out duty. Another night I thought I would give this place try. Thinking she is just abnormally. Agoda mixed up the date. I was booked a day late although I booked and arrived on time at the right night. Agoda associate did his best to set the situation right, but the hotel would not cooperate. The mgr said it's not his issue. It's the fault of Agoda. When the morning came, he was willing to cancel the trip after having me wait for hours without sleeping. He kept saying if I want to stay, I will have to pay the night's stay according to their pay rate, not the third party plus etc. I did not want to stay at such high price, and I was not going to stay the next night. Although I showed him proof after proof, he said it's Agoda's fault. These hotel people looks down at third party bookings and he even went far as to say that I am not his guest and that Agoda is his guest. Anyways, to make long story short, if you want common courtesy from the front desk associates and mgrs, forget about booking through third party. The mgr said he is not responsible for the third party guest's stay at all.
