Definitely stay at the Park Hotel!”
So I understand that most people choose to stay in the Shinjuku area when visiting Tokyo given that it's the tourist hub and a pretty cool version of a Japanese Times Square. However, I find that pretty far from all other sights in the city. The Park Hotel is in the very center, in Ginza. What made it great as well was that when we got in a taxi, we could reference to be taken to the Shiodome so it made transportation (and finding where we needed to go) incredibly easy. We also found an incredibly nice street, about a 10 minute walk from our hotel) that had a strip of restaurants to go to (from this hotel, walk towards Pizerria Matteo and you'll find all the restaurants...there are several to visit, that's just a good reference on how to get to the area). I loved that I felt like I was getting an authentic view of Tokyo. As for the hotel itself, it was incredibly elegant, with a wonderful and spacious room and AMAZING view. We faced the Tokyo tower and on 2 clear days were able to see Mt. Fuji, definitely request this when you visit. The hotel staff even went above and beyond for me setting out tea lights giving an incredibly romantic feel to the room which was great given this was an anniversary/celebration trip for my husband and me (you need to request this as I did if you want it). I also found the staff to be quite serviceable. The only hiccup was that the concierge was training a new member to their team. Everyone needs to learn at some point and while I found this staff member quite nice, she just wasn't as knowledgeable as I needed. I only wish the hotel would have had someone with her at all times to ensure that hotel guests were receiving the attention both desired and needed. Overall, yes, please stay at this hotel.

A Very Pleasant Stay”
Frankly, Park Hotel's staff speak the best and most understandable English during our 7 days' vacation in Japan. The hotel is actually located on the upper part of the Tokyo Media Tower, from the 25th to the 34th floor and therefore you can expect to get an excellent view of the city. Especially the lobby enjoys a marvellous view of the Tokyo Tower. The facilities are quite new and are of high standard and it is one of the hotels the limousine bus stops at (saving you the trouble of dragging luggage around). When we booked the hotel, we saw some comments regarding the long walk from the metro station, however, in reality we found it quite ok. The hotel enjoys an immediate access to the Shiodome station and the walk to the Shimbashi station (to transfer to Ginza Line) takes around 10 minutes, but along the walk you will find some stores and dining choices which make it less boring. We lost a cell phone on the limousine bus, but the hotel staff kindly helped us contact the limousine bus company and finally got the cell phone retrieved. Generally, it was a wonderful and memorable stay and worth what we paid. Compared with many other hotels that charge internet fees, we found the free use of computer and internet in the business center of the hotel quite convenient and favourable to customers. This was already the second time we chose to stay in the Shimbashi - Shiodome area of Tokyo which enjoys very convenient metro transportation to Ginza, Ropongi, Shinjuku and the Royal Palace.

Great location for business travel”
The Park Hotel is relatively easy to find, The hotel staff were amazingly accommodating and almost all speak fluent English (a HUGE relief for a non-Japanese-speaking traveller in Japan!) The room I had was smaller than an average hotel room of the star rating, but was still wonderfully comfortable to rest in after long, hard days of work. The bathroom was small too, but the bathtub was still comfortably large enough for my not-inconsiderable 5'8" frame. I particularly loved the generous supplies of Thann toiletries! Location-wise, this place is great. It's right next to the Shiodome station on the Oedo Line and is connected by subway tunnels to the Shinbashi station which is served by the Akasuka & Ginza Lines. Additionally, it's only a 15-20 minute walk to Ginza downtown too, which makes for a great stroll outside. A bonus is that Park Hotel is also a short walk from Tsukiji Fish Market, which my colleague & I took advantage of and had ourselves a delicious sushi breakfast one morning before heading into other parts of Tokyo for business. Would definitely stay at the Park Hotel again!

Great Service!”
My overall experience at the Park Hotel was top notch. I was originally searching for a room in a much cheaper price range, a lack of vacancies led me to this hotel. Although I think you can get more room space for your money elsewhere, if you are looking for wow factor, the Park hotel is perfect. The service was better than I've had in 5-star establishments in the US and Europe. One of my pet peeves is lighting and color. When you put together their fabulous view of Tokyo/Ginza, with the many choices of accent lighting in the room, it makes for a very romantic experience (one doesn't usually associate Japanese hotels with romance). The inflated price is to be expected due to their location in one of Tokyo's fasted growing business and cultural centers. If I was looking to splurge again, I would definitely go there again, only next time I will shoot for a corner room.

great hotel”
The lobby is on the 25th floor so it and all the rooms have great views. It is pretty close to several metro stations which is nice. Ginza is a short 10-15 min walk, which has a lot of shopping, eating, and night life. The hotel is a stop for the airport limo (bus that takes you to either Tokyo airport) for about 900 yen or roughly $12 USD per person. The bus stops several times a day. As Tokyo goes the rooms are small. There is a Michelin star restaurant in this hotel which was amazing!!! the restaurant is TY (French food), they have a great deal for hotel guests, very reasonable for fine dining. The hotel is about a 15 min walk to the fish market, but I would suggest taking a taxi for those trying to get to the early morning auction, because the gate is hard to find.

Park Hotel Tokyo”
Had a wonderful stay. Good balance of a business hotel that families can be comfortable at as well. The staff was extremely helpful, the rooms were clean and while not huge, very comfortable with great views. The location of the hotel was perfect--lots of inexpensive eating places in the surrounding buildings, and in the connecting train station (there is a market place on the outside of the Shimbashi station, similar to Whole Foods where you can get fantastic lunch items for great prices!). Having both the subway and JR trains connected to the base of the building made getting around Tokyo so easy, and just a 5 minute walk to the Ginza shopping district and about the same in the other direction to the Fish Market for fantastic sashimi breakfast. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone headed to the Tokyo area.

Great Stay at the Park Hotel, Tokyo!”
We had a wonderful 5 night stay at the Park Hotel in May 2009. The room, while small had the most amazing views of Tokyo tower and the City of Tokyo. All rooms are located at the top of the Shidome Media Tower, so you are guaranteed a great view. We thought the price was excellent for the quality and cleanliness of the Hotel and the Helpful, courteous staff. The location is excellent as you are in close proximity to subway stations, making it easy to explore Tokyo. The only disadavantage is the lack of Restaurants close by and the Hotel restaurants were very expensive. Overall, our experiece at the Park Hotel was most relaxing and enjoyable!

Park Hotel ShioDome was EXCELLENT”
The Park hotel was great. Service and price are unmatched. Location is wonderful. ShioDome metro station is 5 mins away and Shimbashi station is 10 mins away. Ginza is a brisk 15 minute walk, the same for Tsukiji fish market. Service was great, just be careful when the concierge gives you directions to your destination, a lot of places sound familiar, misunderstandings could occur. Rooms were small but that's just Tokyo. Rooms were modern and very clean. Toiletries were of great quality, made by Thann in Thailand.

Great for business travelers”
I was in Tokyo for business and Agoda recommended this hotel. The hotel lobby and some rooms have a fantastic view of Tokyo Tower at night. The direct airport bus limousine service stops at this hotel's lobby which is great if you don't want to drag your luggage through Tokyo's complicated subway system. The location was just above Shiodome train station and you could take a 5 minute underground walk to Shimbashi Station which is a major interchange where you can connect to many train lines. The hotel is only walking distance to Ginza via an outdoor sky connector. 10 mins stroll to Higashi Ginza area, 15 mins slow walk to the main Ginza area. Location is very good. The hotel staff were polite and they have a desk where you can sit down to plan your journey/ask directions with a staff that can speak excellent english. The only minus points were the pillows which were too flat and lumpy for a hotel of this standard. Also, the Wifi was not very stable. I experienced dropped signals intermittently but they went back to normal speed after 30 seconds. The area is situated in a business district which makes it convenient if you are doing business there. It does get very quiet at night but it is in a very safe area. All in all, I was very satisfied with my stay in the Park Hotel Tokyo.

loved the hotel”
I stayed here with my wife for 3 days/2 nights when we first arrived in Tokyo. We found the hotel from reading reviews on the internet. We loved the hotel. It's a great value for the money paid (especially given the competition in Tokyo). The rooms are very well laid out with nice amenities. The staff is very professional and helpful. Internet in the room is free. The JR Shimbashi station is close by, and you can walk to the Tsukiji fish market or the Ginza district in about 10-15 minutes. We would certainly consider staying here again in the future.

Tokyo experience at Park Hotel”
The location is the greatest point at Park Hotel Tokyo. It is closed to the commercial area of Ginza, the world biggest Fish Market, and to the shiodome station which is well connected to JR lines (for Japan Rail Pass travellers) and by subway to other interesting areas in the city. We enjoyed our stay in the hotel with Tokyo Tower views which was very wonderful at night to feel the city. The personel was very hepful and good in English. Walking distance to restaurants and coffee shops.

Our Honeymoon Hotel”
We spent our honeymoon in the Corner King room on the 33rd floor. I cannot recommend this place enough. The views are worthy of a "Lost in Translation" comparison without paying even half of the cost of staying at the Park Hyatt. The staff was immensely helpful and the general quality of service was superior, even for Japan. The hotel itself is loaded with cool, interesting art (no weird doctors' office paintings or weird Rothko-inspired abstractions). The art on the walls is all for sale as well. You can literally walk the halls of any floor and have the experience of moving through an art gallery. On top of all this, the place sits in between the Yurikamome line, two Tokyo metro lines, and Shinbashi station. Ginza is a quick and pleasant walk, most of which is on an elevated pedestrian deck that offers views of the Ghibli clock and Nakagin Capsule Tower.

Excellent hotel”
Our group of 3 stayed for 3 nights in a triple room which we thought was a very good size & we were very comfortable. We found this hotel to be in a great position near to station and metro lines so easy to get around & see some of the sights. It is within walking distance of the Ginza area (a bit upmarket for us), various parks, supermarkets and restaurants. We actually ate at the hotel restaurant several times as the food was very good (alcohol was expensive - we found it to be in most restaurants). Staff spoke English & were very helpful. We would stay there again if visiting Tokyo.

Great location and great value”
we stayed at park hotel tokyo for 3 nights in jan-2012. we like its location a lot - lots of nice restaurants around shinbashi station, and very close to haneda airport, where we flew in/out. just one stop from tsukijishijo - very convenient and we went there for lunch everyday this time when we were in tokyo. the room is new and clean, and the view is great! our room doesn't have view of the tokyo tower, but city view is quite nice too (lobby is on the 25th floor, and rooms are even higher, so you can see pretty much the whole western part of tokyo and, if lucky, mt. fuji. we like the hotel and will definitely go back.

Brillient hotel with great service and views”
Had a bit of trouble getting from the Shimbasi station to the hotel, as the station is HUGE. Found it with fantastic help from train station staff and local commuters who are SO friendly (even with language barrier). Would have been nice if the hotel have travel instructions (from train station) on their website. We had a room facing the Tokyo tower and get fantastic night views. We were also lucky enough to have a clear view of Fujisan one evening. Priceless. Room is very clean and good size by any standard. We particularly enjoyed the wonderfully fragrant 'drip' coffee provided in the room. I must thank the front desk for their superb service, going out of their way to give us directions in navigating the Shimbasi station and the overhead/padestrian bypass. Hotel is within easy walk to Ginza and fish market, and easy train ride to all other points of interest. Will def recommand a stay there.

My experience at the Park Hotel,Tokyo.”
This is a designer hotel and one feels the special atmosphere as soon as one enters the lobby. The friendly staff is very welcoming. Internet is free, which is very important to me, as internet use in Tokyo can end up very expensive. The rooms are very clean and sufficient and the view from the rooms is fabulous. The location is also very good as it is practically just above the JR station and the shinkansen station. Being in the heart of the Ginza, one can walk and enjoy the beautiful shops. The most important point is the price - it is one of the cheapest 4 star hotels I have ever stayed in and can be also a 5 star!

Park Hotel Shiodome: great location, great hotel ”
Great location. Park Hotel is at the Shiodome Media center. We saw a couple Japanese news shows being broadcast from there. The hotel is walking distance to Tsukiji fish market, Hama-Ryuku gardens, and Ginza. Also very short 200 meter or so walk to Shimbashi station which has many connecting subway lines, thus by subway all of Tokyo is accessible. There is also a great restaurant row next to Shimbashi station as you enter Ginza. Ginza is an excellent shopping, dining, nightlife area.

Park Hotel - Tokyo”
The PArk Hotel Tokyo is an excellent hotel. Great Value for money. The staff are very helpful & speak excellent english. The location of the hotel is in a quiet Business district but only a 5-10 minute walk to Ginza. There is a Metro station directly below the building & a JR train station only a few hundred meters further on - both of which are accessable by underground passageways. The 24 hour welcome Mart downstairs is very handy for those late night drinks. We had a wonderful stay at the Park Hotel & would recommend to anyone.

Business hotel with a view”
Park hotel is a little pricey but for the price you are paying, you get spectacular views of tokyo tower and it surroundings. Very friendly staffs and welcoming for first timers travelling in tokyo. Location wise, it is really very connected to the main line and you prolly only need to ride just 1 line to get to where you want to go. Im really glad I took park hotel as my base in tokyo. Thankyou for the experience.
