Show reviews that mention
The Park Plaza Sukhumvit is just a few minutes walk from Asoke BTS, Sukhumvit MRT, and the new Terminal 21 shopping centre. Everything in the hotel looks brand new and it can't be more than a year old. The standard room is very small without much space for clothing and luggage, but its design makes good use of the space. The bathroom looks very nice and has a separate shower area. There is a large window between the bathroom and main room so that you can try your shower-show skills, or you can just pull down a blind for privacy. There is a cleverly designed cabinet with coffee / tea / minibar. The room also has a nice LCD TV, scale, and other nice touches. One thing I didn't like was that most of the lights in the room are controlled by a single circuit, which means you can't selectively turn lights on and off. My room was facing the main road, yet I could hardly hear any road noise... excellent soundproofing. I also had a nice partial view of the nearby park. I opted for the room without breakfast in order to save the 350 THB so I can't comment on the breakfast. On the second floor is a combined restaurant and lounge area where they provide complimentary juice, coffee/tea and snacks... very nice! The swimming pool can be found with some difficulty on the roof after taking the elevator to the top floor, opening the secret door marked "exit" (or was it "fire exit"?), climing a flight of stairs, and walking through a few more doors and the smallest weight room I've ever seen. The swimming pool is quite small and uninspiring, but the roof top potentially has good ambiance and some nice views. For this kind of money, the Park Plaza Sukhumvit is certainly the nicest hotel I've stayed at in Bangkok.
Great Location with excellent customer service”
i recently stayed in park plaza sukhumvit during my honeymoon trip to thailand. everything about this hotel was as per our expectations we gathered from online reviews from fellow travellers but what impressed us the most was the out of the way customer service and friendly staff at park plaza sukhumvit which no other luxury amenity can replace. overall it was a wonderful experience for me and my wife and i will defintely like to stay at this hotel on my next trip to bangkok.
Great Location, Service, Room, can't fault.”
Park Plaza Sukhumvit Bangkok was in the perfect location, could easily get to anywhere in Bangkok we wanted. The staff were more than helpful and willing to help, the rooms were lovely and clean and the rooftop pool was really nice to have in the middle of a city like Bangkok. The breakfast was more than enough, had couple of the best omelettes I had on this trip, maybe ever. Can highly recommend this hotel for the , location, convenience, customer service and value. Would stay there again next time in Bangkok.
I stayed at the Park Plaza Sukhumvit Bangkok two nights (3/9 and 3/10) and I'm so glad that I selected this hotel.I highly rate this place for the quality of the room, the friendliness and professionalism of its English speaking staff, and equally important, its great breakfast buffet plus the short walking distance to the Asoke BTS/RMT station.Needless to say, I'll highly recommend Park Plaza SB to all my friends and colleagues who plan to visit Bangkok, and for me, this is where I will stay during my next trips to the city.
Nice Hotel ”
We spent 5 nights in this hotel. When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by the security guard and checked in by a friendly front desk staff, Ms Mail with a complementary welcome drink. Although we encountered some issues during our stay, the hotel staffs handled it well, special thanks to Mr Ko and the Front Office Manager, Mr Srawut Thongdee for taking our issues seriously and tried their best to rectify the problem as soon as possible. Thanks to Mr Tako for assisting us during our stay. Another outstanding staff that we noticed is the Restaurant Manager, Ms Ying. We'd be happy to stay with Park Plaza Sukhumvit Bangkok again.
A little gem”
If you want a lovely room located perfectly for getting round central Bangkok, and don't want to pay silly prices for a huge impersonal swanky hotel which provides all sorts of things you don't need, then stay at the Park Plaza, Sukhumvit. It's not a big hotel, but there is everything you need from Internet (bit slow for serious business communication) to rooftop swimming pool (bit small for potential Olympians). It's not noisy, despite the proximity of the road, the beds are comfortable, and the breakfast is great, although the restaurant has of necessity a more limited menu than a bigger hotel.
Such a superb hotel”
My stay at the Park Plaza Sukhumvit couldn't have been more pleasant. The staff at this hotel is top notch. Helpful and cheerful from the moment I arrive. Which happened to be during some pretty serious protests in downtown Bangkok. The staff gave good instructions on how to stay safe and also took extra precautions to ensure the safety of their guests. Which to must would probably go unnoticed. The pool on the roof was an enjoyable place to spend time and observe Bangkok. The food at the restaurant on the second four is outstanding and reasonably priced.
Little gem of a hotel in a quiet area of Bangkok”
We had a fantastic four day stay at the Park Plaza Sukhumvit, Bangkok. The rooms were a good size and the boutique styling was nice. The food was excellent and staff were lovely and very accommodating. Great location also with links into the heart of the city via the sky train or subway. If you want value for money, a little bit of luxury and great service visit the Park Plaza Sukhumvit, Bangkok.
My wife and I booked this incredible hotel for our two night stay in Bangkok and were simply amazed with the value and experience of this hotel. The Park Plaza Sukhumvit Hotel is a must stay its about a 150m walk to Asoke BTS Skytrain Station and the Sukhumvit District. The hotel looks brand new (or recently refurbished), don't miss the rooftop swimming pool to escape the Bangkok heat. Overall the best value hotel in Bangkok if not all Thailand.
First stay at Park Plaza Sukhumvit”
First time staying at the Park Plaza Sukhumvit. The facilities are great; the only complaint was the tv/cable reception sometimes got a bit spotty (not sure why). The only other issue was with the breakfast buffet. Much like previous reviewers have stated, it's the same items offered everyday. It's not bad if you're staying in the short term; however, you might want to consider options if you're staying longer in terms of morning meals. The best aspect of this hotel is both the price and the location; it simply is great value for money especially if you catch a room on sale. I would recommend this property.
Stayed at Park Plaza for 2 nights, from 6th to 8th Jan 2017. Overall the experience was a good one. Room was very clean, spacious enough, air-conditioning was good, also free wi-fi (very good connection) in the room. However, I did experience some issues with my shower, the rainshower couldn't work and the water kept running through the shower head automatically. The hotel is very near Asoke BTS and Sukhumvit MRT (less than 3mins walk) and also near a very large mall (Terminal 21) with everything you need. There is also a 7-11 across the road (albeit you have to jay-walk through some serious traffic) and also a Starbucks at Exchange Tower (right across the hotel as well) outlet. Downside was not a lot of street food stalls (only 5-6 across the street, but there is an awesome chicken noodle stall). Service staff was also fantastic, especially the beautiful Nee and her colleague Krit. They were always friendly and helpful, always greeted me with a smile whenever I entered/exited the hotel. Stay at the Park Plaza if you value location, convenience whilst retaining some peace and quiet away from the late night noise/crowds associated with bar streets/night market places.
Good hotel at a great price”
My travel partner and I greatly enjoyed our stay at the Park Plaza Sukhumvit. We arrived in Bangkok at 6:30am and were very tired. We were pleased to learn the hotel would allow us to check in at 7:30am at no extra charge. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed use of the beautiful pool on the rooftop and the well equipped fitness center. The nearby SkyTrain also made it easy to reach tourist sights. We also enjoyed a good late night dinner in the hotel restaurant. The only drawback was that at night, the area did not feel as safe as during the day. I would recommend this hotel.
Our 2nd Home while in Bangkok”
We've stayed at this hotel before and liked it enough to come back when we were again in Bangkok. Of all the hotels in Thailand we've stayed in, the Park Plaza really sets a benchmark. For less than $100 per night you're getting an amazingly comfortable bed, good shower, fast wifi, a hotel that smells amazing (they have aromatic diffusers in the hall ways), pool, gym and very attentive staff. The hotel has high quality finishings and are new enough still look brand new. Location wise - you're next door to Asoke BTS station which makes getting around easy. You're next to Terminal 21, the newest super-modern mall in Bangkok and you're next to Soi Cowboy 2 if you fancy a drink and a party. It's right next to a busy busy road but the windows are solid and sound proof. Corner suites are nice for the bath but the standard rooms are more than spacious for a couple. Enjoy your staff at the Park Plaza, we'll be back in January.
Convenient, Modern and Friendly”
I had an excellent stay at the Park Plaza Sukhumvit. This hotel's location is a 5 minute walk to Asok BTS station, which gives you easy access to most of Bangkok, even during rush-hour. The staff was extremely efficient and friendly at check-in and check-out. The internet was easy to connect and the speed was fast. The desk also has four electric outlets with international standards, so I didn't need an adaptor and I could plug in all my devices regardless of plug style. The rooms and bathrooms are clean, modern and comfortable.
Good comfortable hotel.”
we stayed here at the end of an 8 month backpacking trip as a final splurge before returning to the uk, and we had an excellent stay. the hotel is very welcoming, we requested a top floor room to get the views of bangkok and this wasn't a problem. the room was excellently appointed, as expected from park plaza and the bed was large and very comfortable. the rooftop pool and gym was a big bonus as it meant we could check out, but have a swim and a freshen up before our evening flight without having to hold the room for a late check out. staff were friendly and accommodating. the location is very handy, being a 3 minute walk to both bts asok and mrt sukhumvit stations.
Great hotel with fantastic service.”
i had a nice relaxing stay at park plaza. from the moment you arrive, you are greeted with a smile from the staff. nothing is too much trouble for them. they were always willing to help with any inquiry i had, whether it to help top up my phone or book a restaurant for me. the rooms were clean, quiet, spacious and the bed very comfortable. the rooftop pool area is great to relax in on those warm thailand nights. attractions in the city area were easily accessible by foot or the skytrain. if you are getting around by taxi, just make sure they know where the hotel is because i found most didn't know it's location. a quick phone call on the way to the hotel rectifies this though. breakfast or eating in the restaurant was a little pricey by thai standards, but there are a plethora of eating options close by that you can get a nice cheap meal at. i would highly recommend park plaza to anyone wanting a hotel in bangkok.
All-around good value hotel with good location”
This was my first stay at the Park Plaza Sukhumvit Asoke Hotel. I was greeting by a smiling bellman upon arrival by taxi. Staff immediately assisted with my check-in, and there were no delays. The only negative experienced was when a female staff member returned my identification. I noted an incorrect detail, and she scowled at me. I didn't feel so welcomed at that point. Shortly thereafter the male staff member at reception who did the bulk of the checking in informed me that I was upgraded to a suite (unrelated to the scowling female). That changed my mood quickly. The suite was clean and comfortable with a contemporary style. There was a large flat screen TV on the wall, and there was a separate tub and shower. Later, the same bellman cheerfully obtained a taxi for me. The walk to Sukhumvit Road is less than 100 meters, and there's a train terminal near that intersection. My check-out was smooth. Overall, I would recommend this to business travelers and leisure travelers who don't mind being at the heart of a tourist area.
good location but pricey ”
It was my first time to stay at Park Plaza Sukhumvit Bangkok. I like this hotel because of its location and well-equipped room. The hotel is at the heart of Sukhumvit area. It is about 4 minutes walk from ASOKE BTS station or 8 minutes walk from Sukhumvit MRT station. There are a lot of good restaurants and bars nearby. A popular spa "urban retreat" is just 3 minutes walk from the hotel. A super market "TOPS" is also a walking distance away. The hotel is not big, but it is quite new. I was staying at superior room. It was nice and modern Bath towels were folded to a elephant shape on the bed to welcome you. Bath room has a glass wall. But it is pity that there is no bath tub. There is a swimming pool on the roof top. It is small but nice. If you get up early in the morning, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Bangkok.
Great hotel in the heart of Sukhumvit”
I spent two days at the Park Plaza after spending three weeks in Phuket and I couldn't have been happier. I scored an excellent deal on a Superior Room on Agoda, and I knew it was a huge score the second I walked into the lobby. The hotel -- located a short walk from the Asok BTS station, right in the middle of everything -- is very stylish and clean, and the help is incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was spacious enough, clean, and well-appointed. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever had in Thailand, and I especially loved the glass shower. There's an excellent view from the roof, which also includes a nice-sized pool and an adequate fitness center. I still wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to everyone, which may come back to bite me the next time I try to book a room here, which I most definitely plan on doing the next time I'm in Bangkok.
5* hotel at 4* price ”
Most of the time when you're staying at a 5* hotel, you're paying for the maintainence of their conference rooms, ballrooms and lounges which is hardly ever used. This hotel gives you everything you need, without everything you don't need, at a 4* price. The rooms are spacious and as big as a 5*, the bed is so comfortable that it threatens to swallow you up. The free wifi never once broke down, the shower... Wasn't the most powerful but it was sufficient. Hairdryers and towels of all sizes were provided as well, although the quality of the toiletries could be better. The hotel is located approximately 4 mins from BTS Asoke and 6 mins from MRT Sukhumvit, which makes it easily connectable to any part of Bangkok. There's a money changer en route to the BTS with rates better than any of those in town. For those who need space and nature, Benjakitti park is next to the hotel and promises lovely views during sunset and sunrise. One of the rare places to get a nice morning run within the hustle and bustle of this city. I come to BKK approximately 4 times a year and try out different hotels (including 5*) or even B&Bs all the time, but this one has been really impressive for its price.
