The Stern Family”
The staff were very welcoming and were able to upgrade our room to an ocean view last minute, during Easter week. The hotel is directly across the street from Waikiki Beach. They provide you with beach chairs, towels, etc. The rooms are on the smaller side, but the beds were very comfortable! This was our second stay at the Park Shore Waikiki!
Park Shore is definitely a hidden gem in Waikiki. For a reasonable price, the rooms were always clean, the staff were incredibly helpful, and the location was perfect. Would definitely make this my regular hotel whenever I find myself needing to come to Waikiki.
Great location and great hotel”
We really enjoyed our stay at Park Shore. It is recently renovated, so all is fresh and modern. Location is really good at the end of Waikiki beach near the zoo. The hotel is right across from the beach, but also has a nice pool on the 3rd floor with plenty of sun beds. We were given a sea view room with balcony which was really nice. There are some really nice restaurants close by
Comfortable room with beautiful views and amenitie”
Our stay was extremely comfortable and enjoyable. The view from our balcony was absolutely amazing; Diamond Head one direction and a beautiful Waikiki beach view to the other direction. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were knowledgeable of the various attractions throughout the island and were able to provide excellent directions to our destinations. I would definitely choose Park Shore should I have the opportunity to visit again.
Great view and location”
We were so happy with the Park Shore hotel. Waikiki is expensive and we really wanted an ocean view room so this hotel was perfect. The rooms are a bit small and the queen-sized bed was too, but for the location and price is was fine. The room was clean and bright, the view of Waikiki beach and Diamond head was lovely and considering it is Waikiki the noise wasn't too bad. The bathroom was small but clean and everything request we had was dealt with immediately. We were very happy with this choice and would definately go back.
an excellent break”
we arrived in Honolulu after a long overnight flight from australia . the hotel gave us a welcome break ,the situation is extremely convenient being the last one on the famed waikiki beach strip. the staff were very friendly and the hotel had a very relaxed atmosphere. this combined with the superb climate just before christmas came up to all our expectations and we will certainly come back.
Wonderful location. ”
Wonderful ocean front room! Our room was right at the end facing Waikiki beach and Diamond head. The Balcony was big and we spent time in the evening watching the sunset. One day we saw a rainbow from Kapiolani Park after it rained. Beautiful! Only bummer was that we were assigned a toilet with handicapped facilities. Our toilet was wet all the time and quite gross to walk into a wet toilet. Water will splash out when u shower. Ok for one night but not for long stays. There was no space in toilet for toiletries which was very inconvenient. Housekeeping was clean, all was in working order. Hospitality staff were average. As you pay for resort fees, make use of it. We borrowed the comfortable yellow beach chairs as we drive around Oahu. Borrowed the giant pineapple float for use at Waikiki. The hotel is at the end of Waikiki but it's just a short walk to the heart of Waikiki. I like for the fact that you can take a bus to Hanauma bay from a nearby bus stop.
There are many hotels on the Waikiki strip, it was hard to decide and most seemed pretty pricey for what you got. The Park Shore was nicely located at the end, opposite was a park and warf, it felt a little quitter because of it. The beach is across the road and the rooms were fine for our short stay.
It was excellent as usual! This was our third visit to this hotel and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. In my opinion this is also the best location on Waikiki beach. This hotel is across the street from the pier and the zoo. There is an enclosed area of the beach to break the waves if you have small children or just want to swim and relax this is perfect. On the other side of the pier is a protected area so the snorkelling is excellent! The hotel lobby is open and enviting! The pool area is excellent as well looking over the beach! The complimentary lemon water, coffee in the am and fresh cold juice is perfect! When we arrive now it feels like coming home!
Very well located across the street from Waikiki Beach. Would recommend the ocean view units on the diamond head corner of the building even for an up charge. Paid about $200 plus tax of $50. Parked at the zoo across the street for about $1.50 an hour. Valet at hotel runs about $48 a day. Not a $600 a day luxury unit but a superior place to operate out of.
Parkshore is probably the best value hotel in Waikiki - Nice location, few meters away from the beach - Hotel itself is not that young, but rooms were renovated recently and have a decent size - Swimming pool - No hidden charge for wifi or beach towels - Helpful staff So, no, no breakfast, no drinks served next to the swimming pool, no concert in the lobby, no fancy service, no private shuttle service, but if you do not need any of this and just want to have a clean and conveniently located place to sleep after a long day enjoying the beach, shopping or hiking, ParkShore is definitely one of the best options in Waikiki.
The Park Shores greatest selling point is it's location and the great bar / restaurant LuLu's. From Lulu's you can look at Diamond Head and or the beach. Great place to have a drink and watch the sunset also. Only drawback is the size of the rooms - small - and the lack of furniture, only one chair and drawers too small for our purposes. Even with that it's a great bargain.
Great stay at park shore. We transfered after 6 nights to the outrigger waikiki on the beach... we should have stayed at Park shore for the whole time we were at waikiki!
We always enjoy our stay at The Park Shore. It is in a quieter part of Waikiki, close to the park and beach. The rooms are clean and provide most things you would need. The pool is large and provides shaded areas. Beach chairs are provided for use at beach and cold drinks and coffee are provided in the Lobby for guests.
Really great views, good location, close to beach”
I loved it, the view from our room was of the sea, the mountains & the zoo! We were happy chilling on the balcony having some beers watching all that was going on below or walking along the shopping strip looking at the shops. The swimming pool & pool area was nice with views of the sea. The Expedia Tourist Information girls in the lobby were amazing -exceptional service! I highly recommend the Shark Cage tour!!! Amazing experience being out at sea in a cage surrounded by 15-20 sharks calmly checking you out. Food along Waikiki was quite disappointing with seafood generally shipped frozen from the US -what the? Though we found that the Cheesecake Factory was of a reliably good quality & decently priced compared to other locations along Waikiki beach front... Oh & don't be surprised to see more homeless people than you ever have in your life...though they don't bother anyone...I was just shocked that the US would have such a problem!
Hotel in Paradise”
A really wonderful stay. Room 1507 overlooked Diamond Head and Waikiki beach right across to the airport and beyond. Sitting on the balcony and watching the sun set was magical. Having the beach across the road was a bonus, and the hotel was well situated for shops and restaurants. 100% excellent!
We enjoyed our stay at Park shore. The staff is great. They are nice and very accomodating. The hotel is clean. We had a great room with a view of the ocean and Diamond Head.
Go too hotel in Honolulu”
Wonderful location with very helpful and generous staff. Anytime we go to Honolulu this is where we stay. Pool is beautiful and we are right across the road from the beach and down the road from the Cheesecake Factory. At the bottom of Kalakaua with a cookie corner, subway, Denny’s, McDonald’s and Burger King close by with 2 abc stores connected to the hotel Highly recommended
Great position friendly staff”
The hotel is clean and quite nice. It's in a great position right next to Waikiki beach. the rooms are quite nice. Ours had a balcony that was overlooking the beach. So it was a great view. There was a swimming pool and you got discounted to use the gym down the street. We would stay there again the price was good aswell for the position n proximity to the beach
good location - ordinary rooms”
i enjoyed staying at this hotel, but i doubt it would be my first choice for a return visit. i prefer something a little less basic and more plush. i appreciate that it was a value choice for me as i booked only a couple of weeks out. the best part is the location - you can drive out to better and cheaper restaurants outside of waikiki very easily. it is on the end of waikiki, but it is easy to walk to the other side. it is a little hard to find the valet which is the only way to park your car at the hotel. but there is a drive way that points the wrong way from the street that enters just as you turn the corner onto kapahulu. the valets and hotel personnel were very friendly. i was on the fourth floor and my room felt old despite the giant lg flat screen and it was right over the pool and you could see the street. despite that, it wasn't too noisy. the bathroom was very small. currently (i went april 2012), waikiki beach is being renovated - meaning half of it is not available for us tourists as they are moving a lot of sand around. i recommend that you check to see what the current state of the beach is if it is a major part of your plans.
