A lovely resort away from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu and yet only 20 minutes away”
The staff were all wonderful and extremely helpful and friendly. It was a delight to stay there and they all made me feel like family THANK YOU I will be back 🙏🏼
Dear Margarita, Thank you and Namaste for the warm gesture from your side to review our resort here. We are very grateful towards your sweet compliments and uplifting words for our staffs and the resort. We hope to see you very soon in the future again. With regards, Guest Relation Associate.
Major disappointment for a KGH group hotel ”
I was first given a room that was not on my reservation and discovered human hairs near the pillows of the “clean and made” bed. The room had splotched paint on the walls and was not clean looking. After noticing this was not the accommodations on my reservation, I was moved to the cottage which was lovely however quite outdated and the shower was damaged and not clean. The complimentary breakfast was mediocre and the gym was as well. Not worth staying so far from the center of town for a resort that’s cleanliness and upkeep have been neglected. The staff are all lovely and it’s a shame they work in a hotel that isn’t being maintained. Hope KGH group will improve this facility with much potential.
Better Air and beautiful hotel complex”
My local friend has been insisting me to stay at this hotel, not only because in this area the air quality is better than Kathmandu, but the hotel is also nice and quiet. Rooms are spacious, did not have time to try their facilities and breakfast.
Nice getaway of the busy city”
We have been there during the earthquake so this rating might not be accurate. It is a very quiet place and you dont feel like being in Kathmandu.
Great for families”
I live in Kathmandu. Family came to visit so we all went to park village. This was my second time at this property. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Grounds are beautiful and open with places for kids to play and family activities. Pool was nice and relaxing as well. Recommended for families.
Excellent. Comfortable ”
All in all the park village is an excellent hotel
Stranded in paradise”
We are loving our stay. We are stranded here in Kathmandu due to a plane crash at the Kathmandu Airport. The airport us closed and our flight cancelled. We feel lucky to be stranded here at the Park Village Hotel.
Not worth to stay. Staff is rude.”
Very bad.visit only, if you want to spoil ur trip.
Definitely not a 5-star experience”
When my taxi first drove into the Park Village Hotel, I was surprised to see that a place marked as a 5 star resort and spa had an entrance of a 3 star or worse. I instantly felt that I'd over-payed, or that a cheaper resort was over-sold to me. There were no welcome drinks, no niceties. We went to our room, which was rather minimal, and found that the extra bed that we'd asked for was a smaller and different bed, making it obvious that it was added to the room. The blanket was brought into the room after we occupied it. If they'd prepared things better, these small niceties go a long way. I then called about the WiFi and apparently free WiFi is only available at the reception, and everywhere else it's a paid service. WiFi was free even at backpacker inns we'd stayed in, and this made me feel revolted. We went to the pool and found that the Steam and Sauna rooms had to be paid for separately (We used them, it was decent but didn't smell good). The gazebos had a cement table surrounded by cement chairs with sharp designs which scratched us all over from just trying to sit there. The pool closed at 6pm, though there was pool lights in the pool. I had a feeling of being in a hotel that was shutting down and winding up all its once-glorious services. At dinner we had a courteous waiter, but the food we ordered wasn't quite what was in the menu (One of the dishes had asparagus in it, but we got none. When we asked the waiter, he told us that they'd run out of asparagus. We'd have appreciated being told this before being served the wrong thing.) We found that most of the food was delicious, though not quite the way it should have been made. The beds were comfortable, and the included breakfast buffet was great! The hotel also accepted my postcards and promised to post them for free. In all, I payed for a 5 star hotel but got what was at best a 3.5 star. If I'd known what I was getting, I would have picked a different hotel instead.
Relaxing and energizing stay!”
I stayed in the hotel for a night. The staff was very helpful in getting me around the place. They even arranged for me to have companions when I trekked in Shivapuri National Park. I enjoyed the massage and yoga session in the hotel's wellness center. The prices were reasonable and quality above adequate. The restaurant at the hotel also had a very good selection in its ala carte menu. Prices were reasonable and the staff were friendly.
Home Away from Home, Oasis, Surrounded by Nature”
Very good stay, Will definitely come back and recommend it to friends. Road construction just outside hotel, but Hotel is overall very quiet. Trip spoiled at the end with loss of personal belonging. Never recovered!
Our stay was very relaxing.”
Our stay at the Park Village was pleasant. We had my mother-in-law with us to have a relaxing day away. We really enjoyed the spa and the bar area.
Beautiful, relaxing stay, set in stunning gardens.”
Suitable and comfortable stay as i expect”
Fine all the way as I expected . The hotel services is exelent and all are very co-operative. Its a suitable hotel. Its a clean and claim hotel. The location is very easy with better communication.
nice hotel for relaxing”
nice place to stay good view nice garden just next to sleeping Shiv Temple
comfortable and relaxing”
It was pleasant and perfect for what we needed. It was my mother in law's first trip to Kathmandu and she thoroughly enjoyed it.
Peaceful and relaxing”
I had a very peaceful time and enjoyed the pool and walks in the area. Unfortunately, because of the Dasain holiday there was a limited menu and the shuttle bus into Kathmandu was not running.
Quiet, near the airport good staff”
Booked this for some friends.. They were very pleased with the staff and said they were helpfulas they had two small children and were leaving early in the morning. The staf had " breakfast to go" ready for them In the morning and a very fast checkout. Taxi was waiting and a smooth departure.c
A little bit of luxury”
I booked this hotel for my friend after I had stayed there myself. We had been volunteering and living in very basic accommodation We loved this hotel, the staff, surroundings and the rooms were perfect for us, The resort is within easy reach of the airport and all the sightseeing places it is also close enough to Thamel if you want the night life and peaceful during the day.
Relaxing, comfortable and interesting.”
Had a quiet relaxing stay catching up with friends. We enjoyed the tranquility of the gardens. Food at breakfast was good. Good hotel to stay in if you want to get to the airport easily as it is in close proximity to the hotels. We only stayed one night so can't comment much. we arrived very late and checked out after breakfast, but managed to wlak around the gardens before leaving for the airport. Rooms were very basic. It was cold and there were not enough blankets. So, we froze. Thank goodness I had my hubby to keep me warm. As it was very late in the night when we arrived, they only had one guy on duty and he wasn't much of a help. The bathroom was the wet type. There was no shower curtain so, when you showered, water got everywhere.
