Peaceful”
Not the center of town, located at the base of the mountains, 500NPR from Thamel. Honestly, I didn't leave for the two nights I was there. I soaked in the tranquility of the gardens, the beauty of the pool, the tasty breakfast, the incredibly helpful staff that stopped before they were overly helpful and my room, a beautiful fresh air room with flyscreens in good condition (AC also). Highly recommend Park Village Resort if looking to separate hectic Kathmandu with some tranquility.

Relaxing, peaceful and green”
After spending one night in the crowded, chaotic center of Kathmandu, we needed a change. We found our retreat at the Park Village. They upgraded our room to an apartment. It was excellent. The restaurant was very good and the staff was outstanding. The only downside was the main road to the hotel was under construction. Our taxi driver said it was "hell." But then you entered the beautiful PVH grounds and forgot all about what was outside the gorgeous property.

park village is very nice hotel to chill out of city from kathmandu. we liked indian food with good service in restaurant. the overall ambience of the hotel was good for pleasant stay and mind refreshing indeed. we would love to revisit this hotel for stay. and definitely recommend to our friends.

Stranded in paradise”
We are loving our stay. We are stranded here in Kathmandu due to a plane crash at the Kathmandu Airport. The airport us closed and our flight cancelled. We feel lucky to be stranded here at the Park Village Hotel.

What a gem”
Had a brilliant stay at park village for ten nights. Ideally located near the city centre but more importantly in walking distance to some great sites in the hills. We spent great days walking, visiting the world heritage sites and also kicking back at the resort, a green oasis in what is quite a polluted city. Loved it

Great for families”
I live in Kathmandu. Family came to visit so we all went to park village. This was my second time at this property. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Grounds are beautiful and open with places for kids to play and family activities. Pool was nice and relaxing as well. Recommended for families.

Quiet Hotel great for elaxing in Kathmandu”
this hotel is a little gem. it's away from the action in thamel but you can get there in a taxi for usd6 any time. the rooms are large and confortable. the swimming pool is great too. we played tennis everyday. the court need a bit of a touchup and the net had quite a few holes but that doesnt stop you enjoying yourself. the gym , however, didnt exist as it is being rebuilt so that was a bit of a letdown. the pingpong table was fine and they had some bats but not always a ball. the breakfast buffet is unexciting but you can order a nmuch better breakfast a la carte without any extra charge. the food in the restaurant is quite ok and better than we expected. the rooms are just missing a minibar which could keep drinks cold. there is a ceiling fan but i think in peak summer the room may get quite hot as there is no aircon. all the time we were there (6nites) we kept asking ourselves - are we really in kathmandu. its a great place to stay if you want a rest or to play sport.

Great Location with Lush green surroundings”
when we entered into the resort, we thought, what kind of place is this. but when we went towards our room, by seeing the walkway, lots and lots of trees and lush green surroundings, felt really relaxed. this hotel is away from the noise pollution of traffic and you can enjoy your stay with peace. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I am going to book myself for the same hotel in near future. Thanks Agoda for letting us know such a beautiful place.

Better Air and beautiful hotel complex”
My local friend has been insisting me to stay at this hotel, not only because in this area the air quality is better than Kathmandu, but the hotel is also nice and quiet. Rooms are spacious, did not have time to try their facilities and breakfast.

Definitely not a 5-star experience”
When my taxi first drove into the Park Village Hotel, I was surprised to see that a place marked as a 5 star resort and spa had an entrance of a 3 star or worse. I instantly felt that I'd over-payed, or that a cheaper resort was over-sold to me. There were no welcome drinks, no niceties. We went to our room, which was rather minimal, and found that the extra bed that we'd asked for was a smaller and different bed, making it obvious that it was added to the room. The blanket was brought into the room after we occupied it. If they'd prepared things better, these small niceties go a long way. I then called about the WiFi and apparently free WiFi is only available at the reception, and everywhere else it's a paid service. WiFi was free even at backpacker inns we'd stayed in, and this made me feel revolted. We went to the pool and found that the Steam and Sauna rooms had to be paid for separately (We used them, it was decent but didn't smell good). The gazebos had a cement table surrounded by cement chairs with sharp designs which scratched us all over from just trying to sit there. The pool closed at 6pm, though there was pool lights in the pool. I had a feeling of being in a hotel that was shutting down and winding up all its once-glorious services. At dinner we had a courteous waiter, but the food we ordered wasn't quite what was in the menu (One of the dishes had asparagus in it, but we got none. When we asked the waiter, he told us that they'd run out of asparagus. We'd have appreciated being told this before being served the wrong thing.) We found that most of the food was delicious, though not quite the way it should have been made. The beds were comfortable, and the included breakfast buffet was great! The hotel also accepted my postcards and promised to post them for free. In all, I payed for a 5 star hotel but got what was at best a 3.5 star. If I'd known what I was getting, I would have picked a different hotel instead.

Greate place”
Great place, it's a bit more expensive than I'm used to, but good value for money. Superb location... it's on the outskirts of Kathmandu, so while you can't just walk to the tourist attractions, you're far enough out to be away from the noise and pollution.

great environment inside”
it was a nice stay at the hotel. once we enter into the compound it was a changed senario. the night was supposed to be marvelous though hampered by rain. i stayed in a cottage room which is i think much better than building block room. late night food was not available and i was bound to sleep with hunger

the rooms are located in several small buildings in a large garden. rooms are up to date with everything a spoiled traveller may need, no matter if the purpose is business or leisure. pool, small spa, restaurany: evrthing is there. good to relax after hectic and dirty Kathmandu

Relaxing and energizing stay!”
I stayed in the hotel for a night. The staff was very helpful in getting me around the place. They even arranged for me to have companions when I trekked in Shivapuri National Park. I enjoyed the massage and yoga session in the hotel's wellness center. The prices were reasonable and quality above adequate. The restaurant at the hotel also had a very good selection in its ala carte menu. Prices were reasonable and the staff were friendly.

Very Friendly Staff”
We got to the resort and our room was the cheaper one. It had a bit of cigarette smell. The sink was cracked. We were somewhat disappointed. We had asked for a non-smoking room. The manager was so nice and she gave us an upgrade. The rest of the time was really special! They work hard to please their customers.

A peaceful few days in a beautiful setting”
We needed a few days of peace and quiet and this hotel met the need. We were well looked after by the staff event to the extent that two of the managers , Niraj and Mohan went to extraordinary lengths to recover a mobile phone I had left in a taxi. Our room was upgraded upon arrival and was quiet, airy and beautifully kept. A very tranquil place.

We had 4 extra days to kill in Kathmandu, the Park Village was a great solution for some downtime away from the craziness of the Thamel tourist area. We enjoyed our stay, though the rooms seem overpriced for what they are.

the resort is excellent for those who wants to relax and want to stay away from pollution of kathmandu. it is half and hour from the airport but far away from market. the hotel provideds free airport pick and drop which is good. the swimming pool was very nice and clean. though rooms were quite small

Clean, efficient, beautiful, bussiness-type hotel”
Have been in Gokarna Forest Resort before > that's the romantic one, this is more bussiness-like. Take a walk through the gardens, beautiful. Proper and clean. Breakfast is OK (not superb). Very friendly staff. Quick and efficient responses. Lots of facilities. Quite an experience: 50 meters away the dusty Lazimpath Road, inside very calm, green and relaxing atmosphere.
