Professional staff, big and comfortable beds
Right from the first email that I sent to Parkson Hotel, Ms. Lily has been very accommodating. On our first night, we stayed in Parkson Hotel for a few hours when we arrived in Hanoi in the afternoon because our bus to Sa Pa was late at night. The bus company told us to go to the bus station at 11pm but when Ms. Lily found out about this, she called the bus company to pick us up so as not to inconvenient us. The bus company then picked us up for free :) After spending a night in Sa Pa, we went back to Hanoi and stayed in Parkson. We arrived early but since the hotel was full and there was no room available for early check-in, Ms. Lily arranged for us to stay in the lobby and use their facilities and have breakfast for free. She also helped us get a good deal with our Halong Bay tour. On our last night, I made a last minute booking so we can keep our room until our midnight flight. She was able to make the arrangement so we didn't have to change rooms and pack and unpack again. I would say that our stay in Parkson Hotel was made more enjoyable because of Ms. Lily. Don't expect too much from the hotel because it's not 5-star but it has all the basic things a traveller in Hanoi during summer needs (aircon, t&b, cable TV) and the bed is literally huge! It is also accessible to the nice places for food and shopping in the Old Quarter. We are definitely staying in Parkson Hotel when we go back to Hanoi.

Good staff, great food, good location
We stayed here on two separate occasions after our stay in Sapa and Halong Bay. The staff here are very friendly and accomodated to our needs. The breakfast consists of food on the table and a menu. The Chicken pho is really good, so I recommend it if you order off the menu. The cons are that the tv signal is awful, but if you're going to be traveling all day, then it doesn't matter. Also, one of the rooms we stayed in had a terrible leakage with the shower and had the bathroom floor all wet. Other than that, the pros really outweigh the cons and I would book here again if I stayed in Hanoi.
