This place caters to local weekend groups
Right on the beach, helpful staff, good value
We realised right away that we were not the right target group for this hotel, which caters to local families and groups, who come mostly for weekends, bring and cook their own food, and like Karaoke. Arriving on a Saturday evening, to blaring loud music of questionable quality, we had a disastrous first impression. Also, the accommodations are pretty basic, though we found we had all we really needed. Miraculously, the music and the crowds dispersed on Sunday, and the rest of the week we had the place, and the beach, practically to ourselves. The resort provides no food, but there are two decent places to eat just minutes away along the beach, where you can also have internet access. There is lovely snorkeling just minutes away by boat, too, and most of the time the water was clear enough that we could see every grain of sand. The staff and owner went out of their way to make our stay more pleasant, so that overall it was a nice week for our family. However, I could not in good conscience recommend it to Western tourists who expect hotel-like amenities.

good stay
near the beach
For a group it is affordable, since this hotel allows guest to cook their own food which can translate to big savings because most hotel along this area have a compulsory meal charge of at least Php1000 per person. Though upon seeing our room i thought to myself that it probably was not used for quite awhile because of the cobweb in the ceiling just right above the bed. The comfort room is located outside the room which is a bit inconvenient for us. Room smelled old. Pillow too soft, the flooring seem hollow that each time we walk around the room you'd feel the vibration. Needs a lot of improvement in terms of accommodation, but the staff and the owners are very nice and friendly. I went to Paseo for the beach so it more than compensate for the accommodation short comings. I'd like to come back there, but only if the accommodation improved.

good venue for unwinding
Have a chapel across the street. Good sand activity for toddlers - making sand castles (though sand is not white as Boracay. Recommended for upbeat group not for groups looking for peace and solace
Great, just hoped we had more time to stay. Wonderful to have a chapel across the street and hear the anticipated mass - Saturday, 6:00 PM, good feeling of communing with the Creator and His wonderful creations!
