Clean, orderly, good location, good value”
The Pastel Inn Saigon as the name implies predominately caters to Japanese businessman and technicians in Saigon, and like most Japanese hotels is very clean (do be sure to reserve a non-smoking room), ordered, and comes with a good breakfast. The location is especially good as it is within walking distance of the major downtown area. The staff is attentive and the door men will rush to be sure you have a taxi waiting. All in all The Pastel Inn Saigon is a great value and I will definitely stay there again when in HCM City.

Hotel located close to city center. Within 10-15 mins to center Saigon center Post office, Opera & shopping mall. Within 5 mins: Choices of local cafe, pho 24, street hawker take away food stalls. Easy to catch Taxi & uber. Hotel staff so nice & helpful. Do all their best to communicate & help me to buy & change bus tickets to Giant Jesus mountain after off duty. Offered medicine & arrange consultation with a foreigner hospital on Xmas day. Offered late check out & provide a very comfortable accommodate for a sick elderly traveller. Breakfast with 7 choices of set plus buffet. Everyday with some new items. Very delicious fruit. Most of the hotel staff can speak Japanese & English. They arranged non smoking, high & quiet room for us. lobby & decorate with history but everything is clean, very efficient housekeeping. Make up room after breakfast. Provide 2 bottles of water for free. Value for money & definately come again. Good choice & safe!

Great Hotel in the Heart of Saigon”
I am an American living and working in Vietnam. I've been to Saigon countless times, and recently stayed here for my work at the nearby American Consulate. The hotel was the quietest and had the best internet of any of my stays. Staff was extremely polite, but they were trained in Japanese (most guests are Japanese), so their English wasn't the best. However, there were no issues in communication and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was quite decent, and the cost is half of what other hotels on the same street charge. The hotel is within walking distance of nearly every food, bar, or cafe you'd want. Will definitely be returning.

Japanese High Standard”
This is an excellent accommodation for business and holiday. It is located in the heart of the city. I would say everything is 'Japanese' standard. Not only the cleanliness of the room, but also the kind friendly staffs at reception. The street outside is hustle and bustle of stream of bikes, once you step into the hotel, it is like an 'Oasis' with neatly maintained facility and smily face of staffs. In the showroom, there is a Japanese Branded Shampoo and Conditioner, to fresh up the oriental hair and delight ladies heart. It was also great to have Japanese channel TV and local & Japanese newspapers in the lobby to catch up with the latest news. As everyone else commends, breakfast is simply nice with tropical fruits and porridge etc which gives an energy of the morning in limited time. Cheers !

Japanese style, Vietnam price”
Very much a no-frills hotel, but very clean and functional. I have stayed at many hotels in HCMC now, this is my favorite. Central to everything, you can walk to almost all the main attractions and a very reasonable price. Highly recommend for any kind of traveler. I'll take cheap and clean any day. They also worked with us on some complications that arose due to changing schedules, and had a very upfront exchange rate at the front desk. A very honest hotel.

Strict policies and everything is in Japanese”
Centrally located and decent value but policies are strict and there's tons of paperwork to fill out. There are better options around Saigon.

Comfortable place for business use”
Breakfast made me happy every morning. 3 optional sets (Japanese, Western, and Pho) are available in addition to morning buffet. Here, Japanese set (especially Japanese rise, miso-soup, natto, etc) tastes good. Since I got tired of Vietnamese lunch and dinner everyday, this kind of breakfast relaxed me a lot. In addition, mini-library in this hotel seems interesting. Wide varieties of books are available. Furthermore, free transportation service to the airport is helpful.

Perfect Location”
This hotel is in a location that allows you to walk to some of the city's most prominent attractions including the presidential palace, cathedral, post office, city council building ... to name a few. The room is rather basic though and the same can be said about the facility on offer.

Clean, Quiet & Reasonable!”
The place is clean, quiet. The price is reasonable , close 7/11, Pho 24- where we had breakfast every morning. 50,000 Dong for taxi to Pham Ngu Lao street. It is a good place to stay if you wanna keep distance from Pham Ngu Lao. Close to everywhere!

Convinient Location”
Great location! Management maintain the facility well for cleriness but the facility is old. Hotel associates try to help customer with wish to help. Limited menu but reasonably priced food. Commuity space in Lobby is good for long term stay. Wish they renovate the facility for more comfortable stay in the future. Value for price is reasonable.

It is good for Japanese business travellers”
Generally, my stay was good, but I could not get the recipt immediately from hotel when I checked out as my stay was arranged by Agoda (internet booking). Even though the receipt was receipt later from hotel, the amount I paid by internet is different. This may be quite trouble for business travellers.
