Pavilion is located in the heart of the historical center of Phnom Penh, just a few steps from the Royal Palace and facing Wat Botum, the Royal Pagoda. It boasts unique heritage villas, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and four private plunge pools, all setup in a lush compound protected by high walls, preserving its intimacy.
Pavilion has two poolside bar-restaurants, spa, gym, souvenir shop, free unique bamboo bicycles, 24-hour reception and free Wi-Fi. All rooms feature air conditioning, cable TV, safety box, telephone, hair dryer, sound system and mini bar.
The Reception Villa was built by Queen Kossamak, King Sihanouk's mother, in the mid-20s. Living here brought her closer to the Royal Pagoda, where she often liked to pray. The architecture is an original combination of Khmer and French colonial styles. With an ideal location and facilities to match, Pavilion hits the spot in many ways.

An oasis of calm beauty”
Hard to believe you're in Phnom Penh once you pass through their heavy wooden gate door. Gorgeous setting, pleasant aromas, smiling people, and rooms with private pools. The restaurant menu isn't especially varied, but everything I tried was prepared to fine dining standards. Every interaction with staff was friendly and helpful, and I've already booked another visit later in the year.
Dear Roger, This is the kindest review we could dream about! Many thanks for supporting us so nicely! We look forward to welcome you again soon. Cheers, Nassiba
I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. On the outside it looks almost invisible but want to get in it’s beautiful old French colonial approach to swimming pools the rooms are fantastic the massages are the best I’ve ever had in over 30 years the food is good the drinks are good. But what makes it most of all are the people who are unbelievably friendly helpful and professional I especially like to single out and thank Ing Sira (Guest relations officer) who, after I had some problems, exhibited initiative and inventiveness in solving all of them quickly professionally to make my stay memorable. He went truly out of his way. A fantastic example of what it means to have excellent customer service. I’m even thinking about making a trip back to Phnom Penh especially just for this hotel and this service
Dear Hnry, this is really kind of you! Very much appreciated. I will share your review with Sira. Hoping to seeing you soon! Cheers, Nassiba
A very pretty hotel in phnom penh. Awesome service. Free 25 mins welcome massage, free sunset cruise and unlimited breakfast ala carte style. Will definitely come back next time
Dear Tze, Many thanks for taking the time to review our little hotel so kindly! We look forward to welcome you again. Nassiba
Calm and peaceful place the stay in the middle of Phnom Phen”
The outside walls keep almost all city noise outside, so you can enjoy the pool right in front of the lobby. We stayed at the garden house with a private jacuzzi and an extra fence around it. The house itsself glas all around with modern western interior in the bathroom and a beautiful bed with curtains. A dream stay! Will definately visit Phnom Phen again and most likely stay in this beautiful hotel again! Would recommend it anytime.
Dear Markus, Thanks a lot for the compliments! And for the nice words our hotel! Hoping to seeing you soon again with us. Cheers, Nassiba
We fell in love with this hotel the moment we walked through the door! Fantastic staff who could not do enough for you. Food was really tasty and good portions. We stayed in a jucuzzi room can not fault it just beautiful. 45 mins in a tuk tuk to the airport for $8 and into town 10 mins by tuk tuk was $3. You MUST stay here 😊
Dear Ruth, Thanks a lot for the compliments! And for the nice words for our team and hotel! Hoping to seeing you soon again with us. Cheers, Nassiba
Love this hotel, but the new building in not as charming”
I have stayed at the Pavilion a few times, and I love it. The location, old colonial building style, restaurant, pool, and lush garden are amazing. The pool rooms are especially fantastic. On my most recent visit, however, I found that they have converted a new building (the "Sun villa") into rooms for the hotel and also added a new pool. The Sun Villa definitely lacks the old world charm of other parts of the hotel and I recommend you try to book a room in either the "old building" or the "new building" which includes the private pool rooms. To the Pavilion, I suggest you work on the atmosphere in the SUN villa rooms and common spaces - it just doesn't "feel" like the old Pavilion :)
Dear Jennifer, thank you for your kind support and staying with us any time when you are in Phnom Penh. Indeed, I like the old building better too-:). Next time please send us an e-mail and we will accommodate you in one of the rooms in old building. Thank you for the tip about the SunPool Villa atmosphere, we will work on it. We look forward to welcome you again. Cheers, Nassiba
This hotel is very private and reminds us of a retreat . The staff are excellent ! Customer relationship person Sira is extremely helpful . In fact all staff are very friendly . Well located and clean friendly hotel . Highly recommend
Dear Kevin, Thank you so much for these kind words about Sira!! I am so happy you enjoyed our little place. Next time, please try our complimentary sunset cruise on the Mekong too. Happy to hear we look all happy! I guess we are indeed... Cheers, Nassiba
The Pavilion is an adults only hotel. We have stayed here many times and continue to rate it as the best colonial style boutique hotel in Asia. The staff are wonderful, the rooms a good size, the beds comfortable, the pools great and surrounded in lush tropical surroundings. ***** 5 Star
Dear Darren, Thank you so much for these kind words!! I am so happy you enjoyed our little place. We look forward to welcome you again soon! Nassiba
Classic hotel at affordable prices”
The Pavillion is based on old French architecture and is quite attractive. The staff are helpful and courteous and the breakfast is excellent. It has two pools, one for sunning and swimming and another for lounging. Recommended for couples or small groups.
Dear Lucas, Thank you for all these kind words! I am happy you enjoyed our little place and hope to have you here with us again soon! Cheers, Nassiba
An oasis in the hustle and bustle of Phnom Penh”
The Pavilion is a hotel in the center of Phnom Penh in walking distance to the Royal Palace and the National Museum. There are 4 colonial style buildings that formarly have been private homes - one of them to the Queen of Cambodia. There are 2 swimming pools in two courtyards: one in the sunshine and one in the shadow of palm trees. They can be used 24 hours a day and I just loved to swim at midnight when it feels like swimming in your private pool in your private gardens. The staff at The Pavilion is very friendly and professional. The food at the restaurant is tasty and the breakfast is awesome. You can order what ever is on the menue as often as you like. I stayed in room 21 - a small house in its own garden. This was a very special experience because this bungalow has almost no walls but big windows from the ceiling to the floor, which gives you the impression of living outside - with the advantage of a well functioning AC of course. I loved it and I can highly recommend it.
Dear Stephan, Thank you for taking the time to review us so kindly! A nice reward for all our team! Cheers, Nassiba
The best hotel in Phnom Penh”
I have been to Phnom Penh three times now and this is by far the best hotel I have stayed in. They offer you a free 25 minute massage on arrival, as well as a free river cruise running twice every evening. They also have a great breakfast menu. You can order as many dishes as you like, all included in the room price. They have two pools, beautiful communal areas and a great location in the centre of the city. The staff have all been friendly and extremely helpful. This hotel is a 10/10 in every aspect, I couldn't recommend it more highly!
Dear Alex, this is really kind! We'll read your review at our next team meeting.Cheers, Nassiba
We payed $35 CAD for a room, so it was a steal. I was not expecting such luxury. The breakfast blew me away with the "have anything you want, as many times as you like" menu (or something like that). Delicious food. Great service. A free 25 minute massage of excellent quality. Only downside was there were quite a few mosquitos in the room, which I only realized the next day when I woke up with mosquito bites. So use the mosquito net. I definitely recommend.
Dear Katie, Thank you for your kind review. I am happy to read that you enjoyed food and our service. I will share your review with our team. Indeed, there are mosquitoes in Phnom Penh. We do fumigation regularly, keep electric replants in the room offer mosquito spray at the reception. We look forward to welcome you again. Cheers, Nassiba
Brilliant service, boutique hospitality”
Beautiful colonial rooms, fabulous breakfast, wonderful pools and a good location close to many Phnom Penh sites, attractions and eateries. A special thanks to Sira for sorting us out when I mucked up our travel plans and our group arrived a day early!! :) *sheepish grin* It's the warm hospitality and staff that make this a special place to stay. Thanks too to Dee for the lovely conversations and trip / tour suggestions. On our next time through Phnom Penh, we'll definitely be back.
Dear Malindi, Thank you so much for your kind words for Dy and Sira! Hope you will be back with us soon. Cheers, Nassiba
Best hotel in Asia ”
This is my third time staying here. I stayed for 5 days and didn’t leave the hotel once. It is absolutely paradise. Every single staff member from bartender to receierionidt to housekeeper is so professional . The pool is open 24 hours and it’s really a great value
Dear Jon, thank you so much for taking the time to review us so kindly. Happy you enjoyed our little place! We look forward to welcome you again!Cheers
Beautiful hotel in excellent position”
Really beautiful hotel, half of which was apparently the Queens House. Smaller boutique feel but spacious rooms in the older style. Very clean and thoughtfully equipped with (like each room has multi-core extension leads), two pools to choose from, and BEAUTIFUL tree covered terraces for relaxing. Great food also, and right down town. Everything a $2/3 tuk-tuk ride away. This is a gem in the city, thoroughly recommend.
Dear Adam, Thank you for all the kind words and support! We look forward to welcome you again! Cheers, Nassiba
Charming + convenient”
We booked the Private Pool Room for a quick weekend getaway, and absolutely loved it. The hotel is located in the historical centre of the city, about 10 mins walk to Bassac Lane. Staff were friendly, helpful. Overall, an enjoyable stay.
Many thanks for the very kind review! That is very kind of you. Hope you will be back with us. Cheers, Nassiba
Welcomed retreat in the city”
Not a bad location, walking distance to the royal palace and other nearby attractions. Tuk tuk readily available to go further a field. The pool area is beautiful and cool place to relax. Staff service, typical for Cambodia, very mixed, some staff friendly and helpful, others could do some with customer service training, particularly some of the male staff on reception.
Dear Andrew, thank you for your kind review. We will look at those issues you have mentioned about male staff at reception. Cheers, Nassiba
Beautiful hotel ”
It was a beautiful hotel. Our room has a Jacuzzi outside in the garden. It tends to get dirty because of the leaves falling in to the pool but you can call the staff to clean it up beforehand. The Jacuzzi isn't heated but with the weather that tends to get really warm, it's a nice way to cool off. The breakfast was good.. most of the staff were helpful and nice. Only the room especially the bathroom needs to be upgraded because we can see it's getting old. The drain in the shower cubicle doesn't work very well. Water will pool and flood some parts of the bathroom. There's mosquitos but repellent and the sleeping net are provided so that was great. Anyway we did have and enjoyable time there.
Thank you very much for your kind words, particularly for our team! Sorry about the bathroom. We indeed repair it one by one. Hope you come again to stay with us. Cheers, Nassiba
Very enchanting setting in a yellow pastel building from French colonial times, it's like stepping into a tranquil refuge from the hurly burly of the city. The rooms were good sized and ours had its own little garden. The hotel has not just one, but two pools. Good location, especially for the royal palace, which is next door. Good values for £60 a night.
Dear Mark, Thank you so much! We'll be looking forward to welcome you again. Nassiba
