The location was great

The bed was broken and facilities were run down. No cloths or plugs were provided to clean dishes. The receptionist at the hotel was extremely rude on arrival.

Close to train station, restaurants, cbd

The aircon was appalling. We turned it on and it didn't cool the room at all. We didnt use it in the end. We messaged the owners and they said it works but it didn't. We had to open the sliding door during the day and night to get some air into the room. Mind you it's Summer. In the evening it was so hot and uncomfortable that we left the sliding door open however we were bitten by mosquito's. We had no choice. There was a fan we found but it didn't work. Not all the lights in the room worked or the bedside lamps. The shower knob for the cold water kept falling off and the shower pressure was terrible. Everything in the room is outdated and needs a revamp. The sliding door was hard to open and close.

rooftop pool & spa also views from rooftop..location was good. rooms were neat and clean.

lights in kitchen of 1410 not working. sliding door to balcony didn't lock. when one of our family went to step in the lift it dropped about half a metre and he fell into the lift hurting his back.. when we reported it to the desk clerk all she said was so sorry to hear that... no safety concerns at all.

Difficult to find the place.was looking for Paxsafe apartments. Was actually a privately owned individual apartment within the 'Oakes Suite Hyde Park Plaza' hotel. This wasnt made very clear. So we were walking around the streets a while looking for a building or sign for Paxsafe apts. Carpet gripper was lethal. Sharp edges and spikes sticking up through carpet.cut our feet 3 times on it. Lights not workjng properly..kept turning on n off on their own Duvet cover all stained and marked.very dirty Chipped cups and no spares Oven very old and dirty.Oven itself absolutely filthy ..probably a years worth of dirt and dust inside it.never been checked or cleaned.So never used it.we booked the apt especially so we could cook our own meals. Kitchen cupboard doors practically off the hinges..had to be careful they didnt come off. Cold tap in bathroom kept falling off. Room Very cramped for 3 people.couldnt really watch TV as sofa wrong way round and TV didnt face anything but the single bed. Would be ok for 2 if the single bed was removed . Needs updating and good deep clean.

the location was fantastic, so close to everywhere we wanted to go. the rooftop pool was amazing too, never too busy and beautiful view. the apartment was also very functional and had everything we needed.

the room decor is simple and a little old but it wasn’t anything that affected our stay!

Staff was great an went above beyond to make a easy an convineit loved the location thanks heaps

Little dated an a couple things broken

I like the spa and pool. The location was great because of walking distance only to shopping places. A 7/11 was just next so I was able to buy necessities even when I check at night.

Some of the facilities like there was a broken chair, stove looks old and only 1 small pot.We 3 adults checked in and cooking with the small pot was not enough. I suggest put 1 small and a medium pot.

Great location and a cheap price for staying nights. Bed is comfortable.

Super old building, bad cleaning status and most of the light bulbs went out. Especially, if you are very sensitive about smells, it'd be better to consider booking another accommodation.

pool & spa although when booking through this app it was stated that the pool and gym facilities were not available to use due to covid. view was nice from balcony.

Upon arrival, the light switches didn't work at all, so we had to use a torch to get around at night in the main living area - the only lights that were operational was a bedside lamp and the bathroom light ! Water was running down the inside of the cupboard next to the bathroom as the exhaust fan didn't really work at all in the bathroom. When I got home from work on Saturday afternoon, a large mirror had fallen off the wall and smashed onto the floor, covering my suitcase, all my clothing, shoes and the carpet with large and small shards of glass, which was extremely dangerous - upon inspection, the back of the mirror had been held up with twine which had worn out. After cutting my foot when stepping on a piece of glass, I was glad to move out!

The location was great. Pool spa and gym were great. IGA and BWS around the corner as well as Hyde Park and pitt St shopping.

The oven didn't work. It is a very old room .the screen door was really hard to open.

Excellent Location

Reception at the Hotel was disinterested because we were PAXSAFE apt booking not Hotel and they would NOT briefly store our 2 bags of luggage on checkout, when we wanted to have lunch before we were departing stating that they only offer that service to Hotel guests but not PAXSAFE. Really trivial posturing, and unnecessary, and one that created a great deal of inconvenience to us especially as they were offering that service to the lady in front of us asking for the same service!

Great location with excellent public transport access, great rooftop pool and large spa, nice views from the roof. Room was large and comfortable for 2 adults and 1 child and well equipped for preparing light meals. Bathroom was clean and well-scrubbed which is always much appreciated.

Could do with some updating - middle leg of queen bed on right hand side was damaged and bed subsequently not very comfortable due to reduced middle support and big roll-sideways. Had quite a musty smell perhaps carpets need a clean, drapes are torn and a bit dusty smelling, bathroom fan was so loud it frightened my 4yo. Overall we were comfortable and would stay again though.

Location is awesome

cleanliness wasn’t the greatest but we aren’t fussy so it was ok for us, but wouldn’t advertise this as a 4 star hotel
