cheap and clean”
We booked for 2 nights and ended up staying for 4. The place was nice and clean and a great value for money. The location was also perfect as you can walk to most places from there. No complaints and would stay there again if i was to return to Pai.
Small but Comfort!”
This's just a small htl, but location's great for visiting downtown, food stalls n tour operators coz opposite to Prefecture Office(Amphur), front of htl has popular local food in northeastern style, morning breakfast just walk for half minute to reach, evening market(1/2 mins), morning market(3mins walk) and walking street(5mins walk).... The room's normal but has outdoor shower n toilet(actually not good idea to use toilet in early morning w cold temperature in dec n jan).... if i have a chance to go back , this hotel's still in my mind, but i may wanna try new htl for experience....
Beautiful hotel in a great spot”
The architecture of this hotel is absolutely beautiful! Very friendly staff too! The only downside was the bathroom. It was almost like a sunroom off the side of the bedroom, and had openings in the ceiling for geckos/bugs to come in at night (keep the bathroom door closed at all times). The shower was broken and spewed water everywhere. The towels in the bathroom were completely stained and we were not comfortable using them. If the bathroom would have been better, this would have been a perfect experience.
This place was great. Nice hot shower with good water pressure, comfortable beds, decent wifi and only a 5 minute walk to walking street with all the restaurants, stores and bus station. Would repeat visit here again.
Good deal for price.”
Everything was great, location, price, place to keep your moped at night. Only thing was the ants and little spiders (super tiny) everywhere.. you get use to them but you have to remember you are in pai!
Alright place if you need Quiet. ”
Stayed here for 2 nights, needed a quiet spot as a very light sleeper. The place was nice, big bed and a spacious enough room and even a TV (all Thai channels of course). I felt that it might have been a bit overpriced for Thai standards but still wasn't exactly super expensive in US$. The staff don't know English, make sure to try to speak with the younger girls and not the huffy grandmother if you need any help.
One of my favourites”
I can't recommend this place enough! The woman who works at the front desk was so incredibly helpful to us, we were asking her if she could call us a cab and instead she insisted on driving us in her little tuk tuk! We tried to offer her some money but she refused. She brought her little baby and it was a really fun experience. She also did this again for us when we checked out so we didn't have to walk in the heat with our luggage. As for the room, it was adorable and very clean. The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the main walking street. I would definitely stay here again, it is one of my favourite places I have ever stayed.
cozy, clean hotel in Pai”
We stayed in this Hotel for zwo nichts and really enjoyed it. It is centrally located in Pai and offers Great value for money. The rooms are really nice, due to the construction of the building you won't even need a fan.
The Payi Resort exceeded all my expectations.”
I was extremely happy to meet the owners and their family. They gave me privacy, and helped me with any questions I had regarding where to go, and how to organize excursions. The location is perfect, quiet, and within 5 minutes of all restaurants, bars, etc. I will go back.
nice hotel with nice mountain view!”
Great! Its a nice hotel with nice design. Near to walking street and great restaurants. No problem finding places to eat. There is a halal cafe nearby too. 7-11 is also within walking distance. Staff are helpful. Its a nice place to relax!
Good place to stay in Pai”
I would stay at the Payi Resort again. It's close to walking street, and the staff was very accommodating. Their English isn't great, but they were very nice and attentive. Rooms are simple, but tasteful and clean.
Good room but lacking staff”
We had a downstairs fan room that was large and well designed, upstairs would be better for views though. The room wasn't cleaned in the 4 nights we stayed and staff were hard to find. It's located in a quiet part of town but away from the river, so I think you miss out a bit on what Pai's all about. We enjoyed our stay but next time I'd look for somewhere that takes advantage of the beautiful scenery around Pai.
Great place to stay in Pai”
Stayed two nights at Payi, rooms are a great size. We had an upstairs room with AC which was worth the extra money as it was reasonably hot. Great value for the room size and private bathroom, would certainly stay again.
We loved this hotel! Super nice staff, the hotel is a mini oasis close to main road! The room was big with a superb view of the mountains of pai, wifi worked excellent & very good air con! The only thing is the pillow being to tall, but that's a very personal thing, someone might love it! While in pai try pai country, really good place to eat! But there's tons of places to adventure in.
Lovely big room and well located to town centre”
We had a lovely stay at Payi Resort, the room was very big and airy, we didn't have air con but the fan was enough to keep us comfortable. We hired a moped and we kept it right outside the reception area so there was no worries of it getting stolen. The town was a very short walk to the bars and restaurants and the best way to see the area is to rent a moped and get out and about, very cheap way to do it and you can get off the beaten track. I would recommend this guesthouse and would stay there again.
Small, Very Modern, Stylish, Friendly Hotel”
My stay (and my friend in another room)was very pleasant, though short. The owners arranged a custom tour for us immediately on our request, with a wonderful local guide, saving us money and time. The hotel is very comfortable, with large rooms that have sliding doors to the garden (downstairs rooms). It is very stylish and artistically done in the rooms which lacked only a refrigerator. There is a serene feel to the place the place, lots of greenery and a fish pond, despite its highly convenient location just a block from the walking street and many restaurants and stores. There was also a nice large patio deck overlooking the street scene as a common area. I would definitely stay there again, as would my friend. And for the low cost, it was a true bargain.
payi resort was fantastic. the rooms are beautifully decorated. the furniture is nice. i was there in february. no aircon needed. just the fan was fine, the room stayed very cool. the staff were fantastic. it's a short walk from the walking streets. i would stay here again and i will recommend to my friends that they should stay here.
Modern rooms, lovely and kind family as hosts”
Payi Resort is centrally situated across from the district office and a stones throw away from walking street, riverside or across the bridge to Bebop (Pai's awesome jazz club). The rooms were outstanding with modern polished concrete floors a giant bed, strong air conditioning and a large bathroom with a powerful shower. The hotel is also very quiet. The business is family run and they treat their guests like family although not everyone understands English they're eager to help. This is the real standout. In my stay they went above and beyond with Mr Keng the owner drove me to the bus station personally and when I left my passport in Pai he drove to Chiang Mai (2.5 hours away) to meet me on Chinese New Year no less!
Great location and very helpful friendly staff”
Payi Resort is not extravagant, but very clean, well maintained with comfortable beds, and the price was right. It was a 1 minute walk to the night market. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay there again.
Simple but tastefully done”
It is very easy to find after getting off the bus. However it took me a while to be sure the old lady I talked to was the receptionist or a stand in. The confusion came from the lacking of a sign at the small hole in the wall to indicate that it is the reception office. But when the confusion was cleared away, all was very lovely. The room is extremely clean, and very beautifully done in a semi minimalist way but still warm and relaxed. The lighting is perfect, bright enough to read but not so much that hurt your eye. The bed is comfy, enough room to put your stuff. Water pressure is good and very warm too when you want a hot shower.
