a perfect seaview family gateaway”
it is value for money for those who plan to have a sea side family trip. with the one star price u can enjoy a five stars alike beach resort. me and my family were having alot of fun time staying at pcb resort which located at the famous pantai cahaya bulan beach. the family room was very spacious with one double bed and two single bed. the thing that surprice to me is the room we stay are so near to the beach. you can hear the waves sound during your sleep at night. that was so relaxing. it come with 3 free buffer breakfast at the morning as well, where they will prepare the breakfast hot to serve you freshly. staffs are all very friendly and helpful, and we have our sunrise beach walk at 7am. they also have a swimming pool, but it abit less maintain that time. overall, i will definately go back to pcb resort again next time if im going to kota bahru.

quaint chalet by the beach”
the hotel is located at the end of the road to pantai cinta berahi, so it is easy to find. the chalets are so close to the beach you can hear the roar of the sea when you open the door. in the evenings the sea breeze will spray a fine mist into your face! the famous pcb beach with its numerous eateries and souvenir stalls is just outside the gates, but we preferred to eat in the resort's restaurant; the prices are almost comparable anyway. the chalets are a mix of old wooden buildings and some new concrete ones. we chose a wooden chalet which is old but clean.

The room is big, clean & the facilities is great. It was great experience stay in this hotel. Having a large compound and sufficient parking lot. It is near to the PCB beach. However, the wall built block the sea view from the hotel. Breakfast was very simple but sufficient. Would not mind coming back here again.

Breakfast included but not included. (how??!!)”
Regarding breakfast, it is clear stated in my Agoda booking receipt that breakfast is included during my stay. however, PCB staff informed me that the BF is only povided during weekends. i'm confused with this situation.How could a resort only provide breakfast on weekend?

Nice location for the budget traveler”
the pcb resort has been in existence since the 1970's and this is reflected in the overall condition. however essential maintenance appears to have been carried out. the rooms were large enough for the purpose and all facilities were in working order.the resort is right on the edge of the beach and close by to food stalls where local delicacies can be consumed.

Location of the hotel is very good. PCB stalls are walking distance. The room is very large and comfortable. Breakfast menu is normal Malaysian food.

Stay elsewhere if you can”
Our family of three stayed one night at the hotel.WE took a taxi from the Kota Bharu airport costing RM35 for a short 10 minutes drive because the driver took the short cut. When we showed our Agoda hotel voucher, apparently they were not yet informed of our booking and our room type is no onger available. We were upgraded instead to a sea view superior chalet. The air conditioning was good but the bathroom walls were mouldy. The room was large for the three of us. Although the room has sleeping accommodation for 3 pax, there were only 2 towels provided. You need to pay RM4 for additional towels.Duh. The beach is separated from the chalet by huge man-arranged rocks. Somehow there were wasn't any one swimming in the sea. There were many stalls nearby but they all sell the same type of food, fried seafood. We wanted to go to to Wakaf Che Yeh (WCY) night market but there were no taxis in the area. If one is booked to come to the hotel, it will cost RM100 for the trip to WCY and back. At 8pm there was a power failure and half restored by 10pm although the airconditioning could not be switched on. Fortunately the room comes with two fans. Breakfast was nasi goreng, cereals and bread. The drinks were orange cordial and tea. The staff were helpful though in calling the taxi for us to to Kota bharu after checkout.

Resort need upgrading works”
PCB is very old resort which needs upgrading works. The unit 227 chalet I stayed looks old and even the air conditioning units were not cold enough. The mattress was old and the bedsheets also old. Because we were out all day long, it was adjustable. The room light was having issues but was rectified during check in. If I were too choosy, I would not had stayed there. The staff were quite OK and the only thing which is upset during the stay was the upkeep and maintenance by the resort and they must put effort to make it more presentable. chalet units.

Love to stay here with the peace environment. The beach is very beautiful and fresh air. Near Kota Bharu town and easy to reach there. At night, can have a walk at Wakaf Che Yeh. Lots of cheap products can be bought here. Only the food at the hotel is very limited.

Great location but dirty bathroom”
good location to stay because it is so near to pcb beach and not far from town. there are a lot of restoran and stall with veriaty of food along the beach. best place to stay for those who is coming to kota bharu for shooping as it is only about 15 minutes driving to pasar siti khadijah, 30 minutes to pengkalan kubor and 1 hour to rantau panjang. however, the chalet condition was not so good and unclean.

You can reach this hotel by bus frequently departs from another bus stop behind the central market (Pasar Siti Khadijah). I think this hotel is good choice also for the solo travelers to have rest in resort.

My 3 yo daughter saw ghost near our chalet at around 8.30pm after we going back to our room from having an early dinner. Overall thie resort quite OK and always booked with Agoda. Cheaper than walk in.

My wife need to attend exam spa for job Pegawai Belia & Sukan. Before this, i was thinking about holiday at pcb. But i think maybe for now pcb is not great place for children and family because pcb resort in under maintanance. Hope pcb resort can be solve this problem fast. tq

Simple hotel for simple traveller ”
Recently i went to Kota Bharu and stayed at this lovely but simple hotel. All basic amenities are provided, the chalet is big enough to accommodate my whole family of seven, for food lovers you will never get hungry as dozen of warungs and food stall are just around the corner.
