Fantastic view and great owner and fabulous lobby”
The best choice I made for the whole trip! Definitely unforgetful experience! It has a great view over the ocean. Clever design of the layout of the resort. Fine decoration. Great food. The Thai curry is highly recommanded. Friendly and helpful staff. The best owner you can ever meet: always eager to help, concerned about your needs, ready to help at any time! And the room is the best! Ask for Room 1 or 2 if you can. You will have a whole wall of glass facing the ocean and a big terrace. And you can rent motorcycles here or take a boat trip for island hopping. Food here is kinda expensive. There're a lot more choices in the village. Nipa Hut is a really good place to go. People in the village are super nice. However, San Vicente is really remote. It took us almost five hours to drive here from Princesa. (Yeah, we rented a car which proved to be a big mistake.) It's easier to just take a bus there, or rent a motorcycle. If you want to drive, make sure you rent a four-wheel drive. The last one hour drive is on dirt road. It's really bumpy. And here's the very important tip: if you are not taking a public transport, don't turn left on the first sign of Peace and Love Resort board. It will lead you to the most terrible road you have ever been to. It's a nightmare. Believe me. Because we took that road and we almost gave up on going on. Anyway, we loved San Vicente and Peace & Love Resort. There're very few tourists, undeveloped beach, friendly and honest people. If you want to get away from people and enjoy the pure nature, this is the best choice. There's NO SHOPPING!

Great room, great staff”
It was to be a solo spiritual retreat. It turned out to be much more. Not normally in the path of Hurricanes, Hurricane Pablo chose my trip to pass right through the area. Also due to a mixup that was cleared to my satisfaction between the hotel owner and Agoda, I was not able to arrive at the resort till the next day, 30 minutes before Hurricane Pablo landfall. No sooner was I ensconced comfortable in my room, the winds picked up, dashing the rain between all spaces of the window, creating a flood in my room. The staff moved me temporarily into another room till the hurricane abated and the flood cleaned up. I was so happy to transfer back. Though the other room had the same configuration, it did not have the huge windows and beautiful view of my original room. But the adventure did not end. I got dysentery. Once again, staff to the rescue!!! Bringing me all the things I asked for (buko, water, ripe bananas) and periodically checking in me. 24 hours later, I felt welll enough to ask for a bike and driver to go visit Long Beach and the quaint little town of San Vicente. Peace and Love Resort is still under construction, mostly from what I could tell, their swimming pool. I gave the hotel and room conditions a four only because it is still under construction. I'm sure it would rate a five when it's done. It's located on the crest of a hill overlooking San Vicente and a little bay, with many islands out in the distance and mountains behind SanVicente. A really lovely place. Off the beaten track... Which I prefer but if you prefer a lot of night action, this might not be the place. Great thought for island hopping. And the staff really go out of their way to take care of your comfort and needs. I would go again,

Best value for money!!!”
My partner and I would always come back to a clean and tidy room as it was made up every time we stepped out for the day. Security for valuables were not an issue. The pizzas were indeed the best in town as advertised. In my opinion, even better than some of the top brand pizza chains. We loved relaxing in the lounge area under the night sky after a day of island hopping and snorkelling in the many pristine island beaches of San Vicente. But our best experience of all was the friendliness of the staff. Truly A1! Feels like we've known them all our lives. Kudos to Peace and Love resort for providing us such a wonderful experience! Soon San Vicente will be a top tourist destination and you guys were at the forefront of it all! Mabuhay kayo!!!

relaxing, peaceful, good value”
We loved our stay at Peace and Love. Really friendly German owner Steve, who will do anything to make your stay enjoyable. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The rooms are cleaned daily, and provided with fresh towels - they usually wait until you’re out the room to clean. Rooms furnished to an excellent standard, big and luxurious, the hotel was built only a year ago so all very new. Food in the restaurant was good, especially breakfast and the delicious pizza, price is pretty similar to every other decent restaurant on Palawan. The bar has happy hour cocktails from 6 – 8 in the evening (half price) Big pool with wonderful view over the ocean, can be very romantic if you’re a couple. San Vincente seems a pretty small town and there are not too many other places to eat out. But this is perfectly fine because the hotel is so nice you don’t need to venture out anyway. The property is listed as ´ongoing construction´, but really you couldn’t tell at all, there was no noise or sight on any major construction. There are 2 beaches to go to, one is a 10 min walk away, but the much nicer beach is a 30 min walk. Water really clear, lovely sand, and the best thing of all we were completely alone, not another person for miles I would definitely recommend staying here for a few days on your trip up to El Nido. Great Price for how luxurious it feels. Read the web site and contact the owner for transportation. He can arrange a passenger van for 300php/person from Puerto Princessa

A relaxing and worry free stay”
When you travel alone, you rely on the kindness of strangers. But the minute I arrived at Peace and Love Resort, I did not feel like a stranger. Steve, the owner is very accommodating and friendly. The view from the veranda is great, and the room is simply divine. The pool, though a small infinity pool, is very clean. Currently, there is construction ongoing at the resort, so expect some construction workers to be going around once in a while, but they're all very polite and orderly. It is not on Long Beach per se, more of overlooking the whole stretch. But it is a good place to come from if you want to explore. has several connections in the area, and is willing to help organize anything from a nighttime bonfire on Long Beach to a fishing trip with the locals. Over-all a great and relaxing base for those who want to explore San Vicente.

Has all u need, Escape to remote pristine beaches”
San Vicente is very remote and can only be reached by driving several hours over bad roads. But once you are there, you will find it was well worth the trip. A very small rural town on the coast with impressive beaches at which you are most likely to be the only person(s). These beaches are very close to the Peace and Love Resort which is a wonderful place to base yourself to explore the area or just relax. Reliable 24 hour power/electricity/WiFi. Great on-site restaurant with Filipino and International cuisine (The pizza is outstanding). The owner, Steve, from Germany, was frequently on site. He and the staff are very attentive and courteous and will promptly assist you with whatever you need. I recommend taking the Island Hopping day trip which the staff will arrange for you.

Amazing Hotel for the Money”
This hotel has one of the most stunning views of the ocean. The rooms are large and nicely appointed. While just about every other hotel in northern Palawan only has electricity ~12 hours a day, Peace and Love Resort has 24 hour electricity, thanks to their generators. Each room has access to a pretty dependable WiFi signal. So you have access to the internet, if needed. The pool is nice, but the surface of the pool is rough on your feet. I would say the only down falls for this hotel are horrible food and this is a big one, because there are very few places to eat in San Vicente, and the poor house keeping. The only good dish we had there (and we tried them all) was breakfast. We ended up walking into town every day to eat at a locals restaurant. Our rooms weren't cleaned every day. So, that meant dealing with sand all over the floor and small insects that invaded the room one evening. Despite the short comings mentioned above, I strongly recommend staying at Peace and Love. The hotel is beautiful. The staff are extremely helpful and go out of their way to ensure guests have a pleasurable stay. And the owner is very friendly and extremely helpful.

Fantastic views and very friendly staff”
We only spent one night at the Peace and Love Resort after a bizarre and troubled time at the Capari down the road. The difference was night and day, we were so much more comfortable booking our day trips and transportation to airport through Steve, the owner of Peace and Love, as he also charged 2,000 pesos less then the Capari for each one! The room was also a pleasant surprise as all accommodations were arranged in the best possible way to capture beautiful views of the ocean, especially around sun set. They were also tastefully decorated with comfy couches and alot of nice modern minimalist touches. We also loved the lounge/restaurant area, where they were trying to build an infinity pool in, will be a very nice addition once it is completed as the nearest beach was not the most beautiful beach in the Philippines but rather used by the town's fishermen. The resort was however a short walk into town and about 15 minutes away from a long stretch of white sand. The resort gives out maps as well and can rent out bikes too. All around, this place is the best option in San Vincente by far and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a chill holiday!

Relaxing Jungle Hotel”
The Peace and Love Resort is very nice and secluded in Palawan. It is located quite far from the airport and takes about 4 hours to get there. We had to take motorbikes down a curvy dirt road for about 40 minutes. The staff is great and very attentive..especially the girls working the restaurant. I think the owner Steve is a bit of a salesman when he talks, so couldn't believe much (he told us he reserved us front seats for the ride back to the airport..but we were crammed in the back of a van with 20 people and no functioning A/C). Also the power and generator are not reliable. We only had power 2 out of 5 nights and sometimes during the day it was out as well. For a few hours there wasn't even any running water, but that was resolved quickly. If internet and wifi are important to you, than this resort is not for you. But if you want to get away then this is a great place to do so. Long Beach is about 15-20 minute walk and although there are sand flies the beach is still beautiful and the weather is a lot cooler there with a nice breeze. Filipinos around the resort will say "Hello" to you, but do not hassle you trying to sell things, so that was greatly appreciated. The restaurant is very good. The 2 of us ate all of our meals there for 5 days and the bill was about $100USD. We did buy our soda and water next door at a little store because they were much cheaper, but the food in the market looked a little questionable as people were waving fans to keep away the bugs from the meat. I didn't want to risk getting sick on vacation. BE CAREFUL about the laundry!! Had pants, a shirt and jean jacket washed. The green pants and black shirt both came back with bleach stains. They tried to hide the bleach stain on the shirt with a dark stain, but I noticed the bleach color on the inside when I took it off. Luckily these weren't expensive items, so we didn't complain about it.

Best hotel in San Vicente ”
Had an enjoyable stay in San Vicente at Peace and Love. The hotel favours the adventurous traveller at present with a 4 hour van.bus trip from Puerto Princesa , the last section of which is in very poor condition. Beautiful , deserted beaches are within a 10 minute motorbike ride and are helpfully sign posted by peace and love en route - motorbike hire available at hotel around 10euro/day. A 10minute motorbike ride to panindingan, a fishing village is well worth a visit, particularly for sunset. The infinity pool area is superb for looking over San Vicente town and the ocean bay. Sunset view rooms recommended ( ask for rooms 1, 2 or 10). Wifi available in reception.restaurant area. Free billiard table. Island hopping tours available ( although these are cheaper in El Nido) Small negative points in my opinion are: food quality should be better given standard of hotel. lots of filipino children ( not paying guests) dominated the pool in evening which reduced the tranquil atmosphere for paying guests. Overall an enjoyable stay ; 4/5 - which could 5/5 for me if small issues mentioned addressed.

Very nice and spacious room and bath/shower”
For our time the resort was still not completely finished but we knew this when we booked. The rooms are very large and beautiful with a large bed. Also the bathroom was comfortable. The room also has a balcony with a beautiful view over the beach of San Vicente. The owner was very helpful and gave us some tips on what we could do. The generator, which is guaranteed for 24-hours of electricity, was also very pleasant, because then the AC as well as television became available. For us, the price - performance ratio fit. For this reason, we have extended our stay from 2 to 4 nights. If we are once again in Palawan, we will certainly stay here again, also to see how the rest is developed. This also therefore, since what was completed is very nice.

Best in San Vicente”
We stayed for 2 nights in San Vicente. Peace and Love is clearly the best place to stay in the vicinity. Great view, pool and sun deck. The restaurant was quite good and the staff very nice. Our room was large and comfortable with a nice scenic balcony. AC, warm shower, good bathroom. The Wifi was somewhat slow (weather related?) with scarce reception in our room. 5 minute by tricycle from long beach. Five minute walk from the poblacion S. Vicente.

Utterly amazing, so relaxing. ”
We really cannot recommend this resort enough. From the moment we arrived we were captivated by the view which is like something from a travel magazine. It really is paradise. It was lovely & quiet when we were there, only a few other guests which was nice as we felt that we almost had the place to ourselves. It has a lovely swimming pool which overlooks the ocean, guests can use the pool 24hrs. We were upgraded to a bigger room on arrival which was lovely and luxurious for a 3 star resort, the rooms are very clean as you'd expect and are serviced daily. Having read some other reviews about the poor food we were skeptical however, the food is great- perfectly fresh and tasty, service is a bit slow but be patient as they cook everything from scratch. There is a small shop 2 min walk away, it's also. 5/10 min walk to the village but everything we needed was in the resort. You really won't want to leave! Staff are so pleasant and accommodating especially Beth who made us feel so welcome. Stay at this resort if you want to unwind and just relax for a few days. Can't recommend this place enough.

heaven!”
We got there later than we expected. When we arrived there was someone who immediately accompanied us to our room. He said that no one was there except for him because the owner and others went island hopping (there were testing their new boat). We asked if there was any food that we can order but he said that the cook wasn't available but that he could help us buy food if we wanted. The next day, one of the hotel's staff brought us to Long Beach and asked us what time we wanted to be fetched :) For breakfast, we ordered for porkchop and it was so delicious. We were thinking of ordering another one to go but just decided against it since we had a long journey ahead going to El Nido. Steve and everyone else, was so accomodating. Steve even booked us a van out of San Vicente and arranged for them to pick us up as well in our hotel.

Fantastic hotel in the middle of nowhere!”
The hotel is located in a small village called San Vicente, its a 4 hour drive by van both from El Nido and from Puerto Princesa but the drive is worth every minute. If your are looking for a relaxing stay, look no further! Its a small hotel, only 10 rooms so it is quiet. Upon arrival we got a warm welcoming from the owner Steve and that sat the tone for the servicelevel of our stay. The resturant is really good, especially the spring rolls and the pizzas and you have to try their homemade baileys! There arent that much to do except to hang by the pool or rent a motorbike and go to Long Beach. We can really recommed this hotel for travelers who are looking for a nice, quite and relaxing stay!
