Awesome location and even better staff!
The owners were super friendly and helpful when it came to organizing tours or any questions that I had. Facilities were nice and clean. Breakfast was tasty too. And the location is ideal, you are right on the main road and walking distance from everything. Fully recommend!

Tea coffee making facilities would have been great.
A kettle or coffee maker in the room would have been great.

Lovely people but not so lovely rooms
We stayed here for 4 nights and the people working there couldn't be nicer. They were always helpful, polite and helped us organise our transfers. The room itself was an average size but unfortunately wasn't pleasant. There were loads of ants all over our room which meant we couldn't leave anything out in fear of it being infested. Our bathroom smelt like a men's toilet which quite often filled the bedroom with the same smell and the toilet didn't flush. The aircon worked ok but was very noisy and we could also hear the aircon in the room next to us rattling against the wall. The wifi wasn't working half the time we were there even in the common areas. We also had some laundry done there which came back nicely folded but left all our clothes smelling mouldy and slightly cheesy. The rest of the property was very clean and well looked after which is why I think it's a shame the rooms weren't the same.

Simply Satisfactory
Peak House is conveniently located on the main strip surrounded by plenty of places to eat, drink & book your tours. On arrival the room was clean, ready & comfortable. I even extended another night (5 nights in total) ...although it is worth mentioning it was cheaper to pay directly than to go through Agoda. There was no noise from the gym next door (which I had read about in previous reviews) & breakfasts (included with my booking) were simple & enjoyable. With only 3 rooms to manage, I was surprised that cleaning wasn't something done on a daily basis. In fact, like most places in El Nido, toilet paper needs to be placed in a bin...which was not emptied once during my stay. If you would like a beach towel, be prepared to pay an extra 50 pesos to rent one. All in all, an adequate place to stay, but would have expected a little more for the $$...

beware black outs or not?
our aircon would constantly go out with or without the aid of blackouts. you are living with the owners at this house and we believe they would switch the power off for the a/c to save money. This property is very noisy, you hear everything from the streets. rght now they are under going some construction, whch was annoying. the rooms consit of a very bad bathroom, had to result in wshing with bucket and cup, rather tan a shower as shower did not work, no shower curtain either so water goes everywhere, the toilet didnt work half the time either. the beds are futon beds with a 3 inch foam mattress (very uncomfortable). there is a fan and a tv in the room along with a hanging warobe and a small vanity mirror. this b&b charges you for ebrything, especially stains on sheets or towls etc and they serice your room, once every 3 days. this b&b does not have any safe deposit boxes either.

The Staff
We booked for 3 nights but only stayed one, the place its self is pretty close to food and shops, BUT, first, its right behind a gym so you here the music, second you also hera all the noise from the traffic. The rooms are very small, out dated and the shower its pretty much on top of the toilet,so everything gets wet. The AC was very old and loud, bed was like a rock. The only good things was the people who worked there,i would not stay here again, there are ALOT more places that are way better!

So far the best place in El Nido. Basic accomodation but good value for the money. Also the only place so far where proper wifi-connection.

Small pension, decent acomodation
Good location, friendly staff, very small pension. Not bad. Had to deal with some bugs in the room (including what I think was a millipede crawling on my neck while I was in the bed), but the cleanliness is not bad. I would say it's overpriced, but I have the feeling that every accommodation in El Nido is overpriced.
