This 3-star in Ginza is a suitable choice for budget-minded travelers visiting Japan. The hotel is centrally located, about a 30-minute drive from the airport and downtown Tokyo. The hotel features a range of amenities and services. Massage treatments are available, and for business travelers, the hotel offers a business center. I'd say, over-all, this hotel has the best value out of the hotels in Tokyo. The location is very close to Tokyo station, you just hop onto the Subway and you're only two stops away from Tokyo Station. Well, technically, you get off at Otemachi station and walk to Tokyo Station while underground. It may be a little tricky to find places nearby to eat, as you may have to walk a little bit. But there are plenty of places to eat, and a convenience store located just down the street. The only thing that may be a turn-off to travelers is the hotel is a smoking hotel. So some of the floors may smell like cigarettes, and that smell may leak to your floor as well. This is a business hotel, so technically many traveling business people stay here typically, I wouldn't really consider it a "Tourist" hotel. There are a lot of Izakaya located close to the hotel as well, which, considering Kayabachou is foremost a business district doesn't surprise me. English may also be an issue for some.
We needed a hotel close to to tokyo station when coming back from Kyoto for just a night and the Pearl Hotel was perfect for that. We did come before 15.00 and could pre-register and leave our luggage in the hotel so that we could make a sight seeing. As we had arrived with the Shinkansen from Kyoto it was important for us that we did not have to go too far to the hotel with our heavy backpacks and within a rather short time we arrived at the hotel. You do have to walk a bit from the Subway station but while doing so you find many restaurants on the way where you can eat later on. There is also a Starbucks close by. The Hotel itself also has a restaurant but given we left right away for the sightseeing and only came back later in the night we did not eat at the hotel own restaurant. Also we left too early to be able to have breakfast at the hotel. However, as the hotel has quite a good location it was not as expensive as anticipated to reach the Haneda Airport the next morning. We paid around 7000 Yen to reach the airport. The staff was friendly and the rooms were more spacious than in our other hotels in Tokyo or Hong Kong. The rooms are kept simple but at least you have space to put your stuff a bit away in the shelfs which we did not have in another Tokyo hotel (the room in that other hotel was so small that after leaving your package in the floor you had no more room to pass to your bed...) So overall we were happy with our choice
Good but small”
The Pearl Hotel is in a good location near Tokyo station and comes with free internet. The only downside is the small size (which is to be expected in Tokyo). Staff at the desk 24 hours a day, and there is a nice restaurant where you can buy a buffet breakfast.
Friendly and well-located”
convenient but quiet little hotel just outside of the main tokyo station area, but easily accessible via the nearby subway station (3min walk). good choice for breakfast, and very friendly helpful staff who do speak some english. rooms were clean and well kept. during my stay it rained suddenly on one day, and the cleaning lady worried about all the rain and tried to give me her umbrella so that i didn't get wet while i was outside!
Great hotel for the price ”
Great location and good hotel for the price Great location close to Tokyo station. The staff was really nice and the room was terrific. I was very pleased with this hotel. Not only was it was cheap it was only 7 dollar cab ride to the train station. I would recommend this place to any traveler who wants an awesome place to stay. There are a couple convenient stores close by to pick up anything you need. Didn't really hang out at the hotel because enjoyed the Tokyo night life.
Had a nice stay”
We had a nice and comfortable stay with Pearl Hotel. Location is close to stations, convini, Starbucks, resto and 24hr grocery store. Our room were being cleaned everyday, bathrobes were changed everyday. They have lend us flat iron for clothes and laundry equipments are available.
A good place”
Pearl Hotel Kayabacho is a good place to stay in Tokyo. The service was very good and the room was fine.
Great Small neat Hotel for the traveler on the go”
great location within 2 minute walk to kayabacho station, an additional 10 minute train ride to tokyo station, which is slightly confusing since it is market/linked with otemachi station on the subway lines. little to no night life in the business area, but convenient for those business travelers and easily accessible to the near by prometrix testing center (3 minute walk) free lan internet was also a plus.
Convenient to Hibiya Subway Line”
In a quiet but accessible neighborhood. Hibiya subway will take you right to Roppongi, other Tokyo sites. Room is small, but typically sized for Tokyo business hotels. Utilitarian. TV was a bit of a disappointment, since it advertised BS channels but I couldn't get them to come on (not a big problem, watched YouTube videos on my computer, using their reliable WiFi).
We stayed for two nights here. Since we are Moslem, we brought out bento and tin fish. The staffs helped me to warm our food in their office. It is very convenient from Tokyo Station and only 15 minutes to Disneyland from the closest JR station (Hatchibori) which is our destinantion in Tokyo.
Good, basic hotel”
A basic business hotel that was reasonably priced and meets the needs of the traveler who is not looking for luxury or a lot of extras. The hotel is very nicely located a short subway ride away from Tokyo station. The staff at the front desk was very helpful in navigating Tokyo and helped me take care of mailing a letter we needed to do.
We were a bit worried about the hotel since there weren't a lot of previous reviews. However, I think we had a great stay at Pearl Hotel overall. The location was good and the beds and amenity were excellent. The room was small, but that's expected from Japanese hotels.
Good location near Tokyo station allows for easy access to the Shinkansen while only 30mins or so away via the Tokyo metro from popular districts like Shibuya or Shinjuku. It is also a convenient one metro rail line away from Narita airport (about 10min walk to the station).
Adventurous short stay in Tokyo”
I did not like the location at first because it's very far away from Tokyo Station. However, the good thing of this hotel is that it's very near Tsukiji Market. It's two station away from Kayabacho Subway Station. You can take a taxi from Tokyo Station to this hotel very easily because every taxi driver knows how to get to this hotel. It's very easy to get to Tokyo Disney Land and Sea, Narita Airport. The bus to the airport is 3-minute walk from the hotel. The price is the same as Narita Express Train at Tokyo Station. The service is better because the staffs help you load the luggage for you. Besides the far location of the hotel, the other facility and transportation to the other attractions is quite beneficial for those who plan to access many attractions within a few days.
Great location, but small room and toilet”
great location, but small room and toilet. easy access to the subway station (kayabacho), about 5 mins walk. but there is no internet in the room, can only access wifi from the lobby. overall, quite satisfied with the stay in the hotel.
Recommend to single ”
Room fare was wonderful for a single room. The room was not big but no problem fully opening a 24-inch suitcase. And the location was convenient, too. Will book here when I travel to Tokyo next time!
Good hotel chosen in Tokyo to spend a night there before going to Kyoto. While the room was small (that's the case for many business traveller hotels) it was just the right size for two adults / two beds. Value for the money was therefore very good.
Small Smokey Room - close to Metro”
We had a decent stay at Pearl hotel. The location was good (close to Kayabacho station) I don't smoke but was in an extremely smokey room. (I may have accidentally chosen a smoking room? But even if I did it, the smell was unbearable- in the bedding and even came through the A/C). But the location was good. There is a Airport Express bus 3 mins walk from the hotel which takes an hour, and that was much better than changing trains with large backpacks. The restaurant looked nice but did not eat there.
Strategically located near subway stations”
Hotel is situated near (400m) Kayabacho station. Those arriving late night can take the bus from Haneda to TCAT and walk (800m) to the hotel. The room is clean. Water pressure and heater is good. Lots of hotel around the area but this is the cheapest option. Will definitely stay again.
