The only good about this hotel is the staff that is very helpfull and friendly. Hotel is dirty. We sat outside for dinner i had to ask someone to come and clean the table. Next morning for breakfast went to the same table. Still dirty from previous night.

my child spilled water and i wiped it with a piece of toilet paper. The paper was so brown and we realised the floor was filthy, this after being made to wait 20min until 3 o clock on the dot because that is check in time and housekeeping was still cleaning the room. We wiped the other room we had booked floor and same. The children's gaming area is closed and we were not made aware of this therefore my baby had nothing to do. We had booked for 2 ppl in 2 rooms. I had to screengrab and email my confirmation from agoda to prove this while trying to check in. Our rooms didn't have sufficient towels. Both rooms had one large and one small one. Housekeeping only starts at 8am so we could not get an early start as we didnt have towels. We were given half a roll of toiletpaper and ended up buying more. Tea and coffee was terribly displayed. Placed in a paper cup. Using a paper cup for my morning coffee in a hotel is terrible. They only had decaf coffee available and no regular coffee. The rooms facing the casino with balconies should be sound proofed as you can hear everything from outside, including the very loud radio and patrons coming and going. I have stayed here many times and can't believe how the hotel has decreased. I had encouraged others to book in with us and was extremely embarrassed. The breakfast didnt have a kid's chair and the ordering process is so unnecessary and not user friendly, although tasty. The screening process was understandable, what wasn't was having to stand in a long queue in the rain to get screened again to get into the casino. I would not suggest anyone stay here

Amazing hotel for the price”
My business partner and I just stayed at the Peermont Metcourt at Umfolozi - Empangeni. It was a nicely appointed hotel with a very modern style. There was plenty of secure parking and the rooms were appropriately furnished. The hotel still has a "new" feeling. Our booking was for a room with two single beds, but the system put us in a room with one double-bed. The staff went above and beyond to make it right and placed us in a suite. I was impressed. The only downside of my time was at the restaurant. I placed our bill on our room number and about an hour later (9:45 p.m.) I was called and asked to pay cash or pay my bill with a card. I think the restaurant staff was concerned I would leave without paying, but they might have mentioned that BEFORE I had climbed into bed!

In my opinion, that best accommodation in Empangeni. Staff were very efficient on check-in. Check-out was a disaster as staff could not provide me with an invoice @ the correct amounts (what I paid). Still waiting for this!

Although the rooms are small. The staff are friendly and Management is on the ball. Incredible service from a small hotel. They really value their guests. The front office Manager Karmen Naidoo and the fnb managers Clinton and Neil were ever accommodating and gave us the best of care.

I was not happy about the parking they dont reserve parking for people who are staying in the hotel, we were coming at night and had to park outside and wait till after 12am and go and fetch the car to the hotel. where i was parking outside it wasnt safe for me so i was not happy at all

Rooms were clean, linen , bathroom was on point. Well done. The front desk staff need to learn to communicate with the management and check out the booking payments or account status especially those from agoda or other agencies. It is embarrassing to be told you didn't pay whereas it's the opposite

The room which I was given felt tiny and a big thank you to the hotel manager who was able to upgrade my room to a more spacious one. Positives - helpful staff, casino atmosphere, good breakfasts this time around Negatives - WIFI was not working, room carpets were not cleaned and needed to be vacuumed, supper via room service was sub-standard.

Unplanned stay,roudy you are in earshot of your neighbours. The TV didn't work properly. The breakfast was cold at 9 am,the selection was poor. There was a lot of ants in the room, in terms of safety I didn't feel safe as the balcony sliding door was broken and couldn't lock. In this day and age this is unacceptable. Services came to fix the door but couldn't telling me it was safe irrespective. Who doesn't have too Rooibos tea as part of the room service?? Disappointed

It wasn't the best of stays. Positives are the free Wifi and atmosphere as you are at a casino. Staff were helpful. Negatives were - Food was terrible and overpriced, the sheets and covers were filthy and had hair on them, on two nights we had separate guests leaving their room doors open and having a noisy "hotel" party with like 6 other people, swearing, etc at like 2 in the morning!
