Memorable experience”
Thank you guys for contributing to this quick trip to Sydney with my son being so memorable - hotel and restaurant are a germ! Spending time on the hotel roof terrace playing cards and eating ice-cream while waiting for check-in, lots of bubbles coming out of a tavern, a joke from chef that did not go as intended, oven reheated left overs kebab chips and meats served nicely on a plate, delicious vegetable dish for someone who usually orders meat, a glass of wine for someone who rarely drinks alcohol, a personal story from a chef about his family and past experiences.... and finally the PASSWORD to the hotel - memorised and entered by my son million times to make the door open and let us in. P.S. pleassssse put a bin upstairs at the roof terrace and microwave would be great next to the fridge.

Great location, clean room with all the amenities needed. Friendly staff and easy to check-in. Lot of parking options around the area. They have a really nice roof terrace to enjoy the sunshine, the bar on the ground floor makes the best cocktails in the city

Right next to light rail Pyrmont Bay stop. Cool pub underneath the accomodation. Nice food, and even nicer hosts. So comfortable. Easy relaxing roof top terrace. Walk to Cockle Bay wharf in around 500m

A Step Back in Time”
Heritage listed thus no mod cons like an elevator.. 4 stories with 8 short , narrow stairs to the top. The whole building is compact and somewhat cramped. But, hey, was only looking for a bed for one night in one of the busiest areas in Sydney. Darling Harbour. In the front street Bar we were served by Pirates and the food was good. I'd stay there again for the price..

Friendly Staff + Check in at 2pm”
Going there was a bit if a walk. At 12nn, but there was no staff. (I was told they come 2pm) Which I later read in the confirmation email (My fault for not reading!) I came back 9pm, and the Staff was nice, his instructions were quick and pretty straightforward. Room has a gloomy feeling (perhaps the dim light is part of the design? It was unexpected to see trash / food containers lying around, On the bright side, they provide clean towel and soap (and perhaps shampoo but i didn’t get one) For the bathroom, The layout of the shower seemed odd. for me. two cubicles were tight. I felt uncomfortable to take shower because I felt that the divider was not long enough for privacy. Also no hooks to hang my bag/clothes. :( Overall, it was okay. My goal was just to have a place to sleep that night, which was achieved. And I paid cheaply. So I might try again, maybe if I’ll stay late somewhere in Darling Harbour. Thank you

Great Price Location- communication and assistance could be improved and more easily accessible”
-Clean rooms -friendly staff - fan could not be switched off as the button was broken -didn’t realise there was no bathroom in the twin room (shower and toilet area is male and female communal with only shower screens for privacy - no locks on individual doors in shower/toilet room, could only lock the whole room which meant that if anyone else needed to pee (people would get annoyed it was locked) -booked a second night in our room and even though left email when booking there was no communication or contact phone number to advice that we had another night (some other couple tried to get in our room) have to wait till 2pm to actually see someone in person- so communication lines could be improved for everyone’s convenience. - Steps are required to be climbed so not good for someone with low mobility. - good discount on tavern meals and value for rooms for what we got, great location. Knowing this in advance would be good in booking info, would stay again. Thankyou
