A work related trip flew us to Sibu and stayed at the hotel. Arrived in the evening and thankful that check in was a breeze - and got upgraded to another room was a bonus. The Kingwood is one of the big (earlier) hotels in Sibu so it us showing its age. The room was spacious with the usual amenities and the view - overlooking the river - gives one the idea of how busy this riverine town is. Breakfast spread was good even if a bit limited and during the fasting month, it is offered at 4.30 am for the Muslim travellers, which is always a good business practice. It also have a fitness centre but do check with the reception on the operating hours. Sibu town is walkable from the hotel and one can sample the culture of the Foochow settlers as well as a variety of local delicacies as shops, food courts and the local market its just within a 10 minutes walk radius from the hotel.

This is first time staying in Win Hotel and I can say that this hotel surpassed RH Hotel in terms of environment and cleanliness. Judging from the size of my room, the price is relatively cheap. I have few suggestion could make this hotel the best hotel in Sibu. 1) Toiletries are okay (body shower gel, shampoo, dental care) - should include cotton bud and sanitary bag as well. 2) Mini fridge - This is a great saviour for us who loves cold drinks. 3) A mini convenience store at the lobby would be great - refer to klia2 Tune Hotels lobby. Overall, Win Hotel memang Win! The decorator should be given the compliment for designing a great place to stay. Really love the Atrium where the giraffe is located. Simple yet beautiful.

The Premier Hotel in Sibu is an excellent choice to stay while in Sibu town. From the hotel you can walk to all the main tourist spots within 15 to 30 minutes walk. The Sibu Heritage Museum is just behind the hotel, the Night Market is beyond the Museum and the famed Chinese temple near the river is about 25 minutes walk. The Sibu Heritage Museum is a circular structure which has good artefact and exhibits of the indigenous people of Sarawak. One can spend an hour or two looking at the exhibits and the good information. The Mastland Methodist Church was another find in the walk that was truly spiritual and fantastic. Shopping is also a haven in Sibu. There are many shopping complex in town - walking distance. Even behind the hotel is the Premier Department Store. The Sibu Central Market is a real revelation - unbelievably huge and massive selling wet and dry stuff. Upstairs there are food courts and stalls selling clothes and bags and shoes. Watching the Rejang river at the edge of the town iis frightening and scary. The swollen muddy waters were fast flowing and huge. The river is massive. A fantastic weekend stay - cheap - value for money and comfortable stay. Breakfast was lovely - had everything you ever wanted. Had dinner in the hotel restaurant too. Had lovely promotions and offers. Real Value for money. KFC and a local Pizza joint and a bakery are located just beside the hotel \. Some of these food joints were open 24 hours. Did not expect much from Sibu but was pleasantly surprised! Samuel Yesuiah.

I have been Sibu a few times, the old town hotels not improving since 90s. There goes for the towels and carpet odor as well. For an escape plan, I book dehouse new launched hotel. Got surprised walk into boutique hotel alike jewel. Welcome by great comfort after the long day exhaust at work. Good value for money! Lightning wifi as I needed. Great job guys, you worth additional stars. I reserve the location star for town development in progress... shall definately return again for it.

Great. Booked with only web recommendations and some were not so positive, but there were quite a few negative comments about all the hotels listed in sibu, so I took my chances and was pleasantly surprised. We were not able to find much about it on the net, but wanted to stay in Sibu in order to catch the express boat to Kuching the following day. It was really central, across the road from a wonderful market. we arrived late, but that was not a problem. The breakfast was very much geared to the local population, but this is not a tourist town, so that was ok. However, they did forget my eggs order, and the red bean buns had been sitting far too long and were dried out. Distinct lack of cereal or fruit options. The room was clean and very comfortable and we had a great night sleep. All in all a good experience

Overall the hotel was clean and comfortable and the room was spacious. I travelled with my 11 year daughter. The shower has a good supply of hot water and excellent water pressure. Housekeeping a bit erratic as they came on the first day but not the second (we stayed 2 nights). There is an electric kettle provided but no coffee or tea and no mini fridge. Location is good - safe, near a residential area and in a row with restaurants and a mini market. Starbucks is within 5 mins walk. Easy to get a Grab to various locations.

Though the rooms were quite small and not fully equipped (there wasn't an iron, cupboard or clothes rack) but the basics were very comfortable and clean. Its a new hotel so everything was still in good working condition and very clean. Very convenient. Facilities such as laundry, kareoke and airport transfer service were free. The staff was very friendly and efficient. All in all, value for money. Would definitely stay there again if when we go to Sibu.

This is a very nice hotel to stay. The room, the services and the location is far better than most 4 star hotel. I like how they fold their into a swan and also there is a very nice pandan leaf "fragrance leaf" fold into a flower give the washroom a very nice pleasant smell. There is also hot shower. Most hotel I stay does not have hot water shower (even though they advertise they have) in Sibu but this one does. The choice of breakfast is a little bit dissapointed though. If they can improve thier selection. I would give it 9/10. My current score for this hotel is 8/10. It is a good hotel and worth every single dollar.

The apartment is very homey. It's located in a new area and there's not many residents staying there, so the place is very quiet. You do need some kind of transportation to get you around though. However, there are some eating places and convenient store within walking distance. The place is clean and well equipped. A recommended place for a transit stay in Sibu or perhaps a getaway place. Tony is a wonderful host. Right after the booking confirmation, he sent messages on the various info such as the address, instructions on guests registration at the guard house, key pick up, and what's helpful was the photos of the place (so that it's recognizable). He was also accessible, and quick to answer to queries. Very helpful indeed.

First of all, the hotel receptionist, also the owner himself most of the time, an middle age man , is very friendly and easy to talk to. His wife works a few shifts there too, a nice old lady with great smiles and helpful manners. I was warmed to them immediately. The room is clean, and the location is extremely strategic almost in the most happening part of the Sibu town, near Tua Pek Kong Temple and the Central Market near the river, which is nice. The thing is, there was no hot water for the shower. The owner told me the electrical wiring gone bad or something, and the whole hotel was left without hot water(only around 10 rooms, small hotel). My first reaction was, you kidding me? No warm water? So it was either cold water or no shower at all. The second thing is there are a lot of pubs nearby the blasted loud music throughout the night nearby. First night I heard the music and the shouting and laughing till 3:30 am the next morning. FML. For RM 50 something per night this is bad.

Pros: Friendly owner. Air conditioner works well. There are lots of extra blankets and matress available. Location is great. The quality of matress at the living room is great!! Can fit 15 people. Cons: Picture shown look quite different from the actual property. The grass outside might need a clean up. The bathroom doesn’t have hooks to hang clothes or towel but there is a small bar hanger. The washing machine air dryer doesn’t really dry clothes which is really unexpected.

We really enjoyed our stay in this homestay, because Lee who runs this place and his family are very friendly! We spent a lot of time together and it was a wonderful cultural experience. Sibu isn´t really a touristic place and the location of the homestay was quite far from the bus station, but Lee gave us a lift and was very helpful with all our needs, helped us even to buy the best coffee and pepper in town :-) Thank you!

The house parking space is big enough to fit 3-5 cars (parking space + backyard). House location is strategic 5-8 minutes from town, near sing kwong & farley. House is very clean, comfortable and can fit more than 12 guests. I personally travel with 10 members of my friends, staying here without any problems, the owner of the house also provided 2 praying mat (sejadah) for muslims guests like us to perform prayer. Respect the owner so friendly. This homestay is recommended for all guests that travel in group. The house is not very hard to locate for the first time. Wifi connection also working good like expected. Overall bedroom, bathroom, living room is very comfortable and clean.
