The location of this historic hotel is amazing. The room is generally comfortable and clean. My only complaint is the size of the bathroom - it is very small.

Convenient location and quite hotel”
I stayed at The Peking for 4 nights with a group of friends and I would highly recommend it if you are looking for a nice hotel in a good location to visit the city. The nearby metro station, Mayakovskaya, is an amazing one to visit as most of the Moscow metro stations and from there you can reach each part of the city easily. The hotel also rents bikes: I strongly suggest, if you have time, to pick up a bike and visit the city centre: it's just a 15 mins ride and absolutely not dangerous at all!

Oldish hotel reminding "Cold War"”
Firstly the location is the best of Moscow for a tourist...central and aristocrat!!At the other side this hotel has the glamour of the past 50 + years but now a renovation is a need. The more unacceptable thing is that there is not any blind curtains and specially from the eastern windows the sun is coming to the room awaking you at the sun rise...at 4.30-5.00 am as we speak about Moscow ending August...Another bad thing for this hotel is the rude security personnel that without any responding when you say hi or good morning they are behaving to the clients as suspects for spy etc...with the worst, never existing in any hotel of the world of 1 up to luxury...the security stop us to take a picture of the furniture -without any person inside...-at the lobby!!!!

Amazing Experience in Peking Hotel”
A wonderful 5-night-and-6-day stay in Peking Hotel. The room was air-conditioned when I came in. The receptionsts are kind, professional and efficient in handling the check-in and check-out formalities. Impressively, I've enjoyed a great sense of trust and respect. Hopefully, English will be even more popularly spoken in the lobby.

Excellent location and stylish interiors”
One of the Moscow landmarks, this hotel was a primary location for high rank' politicians and foreign guests in the Soviet era. It still has a specific style of that times. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. The service is good, but don't forget to tip a doorman who brings your luggage to the room. The location is excellent with Mayakovskaya train station just 100 metres away as well as one of the central streets - Tverskaya. 20 minutes' walk along Tverskaya street will bring you straight to the Kremlin. I found only one inconvenience in this hotel. It applies to people who don't like to be woken up by light in the morning. The curtains on the windows are made of light fabric and every morning, around 6am I was waking up from the bright light coming from the windows.

Central location in Moscow”
We arrived late at night. The hotel staff were helpful and spoke good English. The room was large with high ceilings but definiately had seen better days. The TV didn't work but the bathroom had had a facelift and the shower was hot. The bed was too soft but we slept well. The room was quiet as we didn't overlook the square. The next morning we paid 500 Rubles each for breakfast but it was fantastic. We left our luggage in the left luggage room and joined a tour of Moscow. Eventually we found our way back via the subway system which was almost impossible to negotiate due to the total absence of any language other than Russian. The hotel staff helped us find a taxi to Leningradsky station to catch the train to St Petersburg.

A special place to stay”
This is not an ordinary city hotel, - built at the beginning of the 50-s it has the typical features of the epoc: giant fretted halls with vintage paintings, big windows, broad staircases and very high ceilings. The rooms are more spacious than average. All the rest belongs to modern time: decent fresh renovation and rather cheapy 3-star furniture. The hotel is situated on the main Moscow street within just two stops by metro to the Kremlin, but be careful: if they give you a room facing the interior court, in the daytime you will have terrible noise from the construction site which is just opposite

Excellent location”
The hotel is located at Mayakovsky Square and close to the metro. The location is excellent and there is a KFC there. However, the hotel room is underserviced. There is no water heater, nor mineral water. But the staff are very friendly and very helpful.

Nice night view bar at the top floor”
The hotel has good access to Metro and other transportation. But the hotel attracts us other facility- night view bar. The bar itself is not so much attracted, but night view from there is excellent. It is worth to pay a bottle of beer to enjoy the view.
