The owner of the guesthouse is friendly and nice! I just went to Penghu without plan, but they suggested it for me and helped everything even booking of activities! I can’t drive, so I rented a electric bicycle. So funny. I am still grateful to them for this trip. The place is clean and modern. They have three children, soooo cute. Don’t worry they will not bother you. Go to make a booking! I will book here again when I go to Penghu!

Highly recommended for couple who like a quite place and not far from the city. Owner are very friendly and helpful and also paint the place with beautiful art inside and outside the hostel. Very convienence as there is a 711 and a restuarant which cook delicious food about 5min away from hostel. Owner will recommend you to rent a bike as that the best way to travel in Penghu cos public transport only operate on weekend.

We loved our stay at Sea View Villa. The location near the beach was perfect, especially since it was a bit stormy so we could run outside and enjoy the ocean whenever the sun came out. Breakfast was super delicious every morning. Our room was clean and a good size for the two of us. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They gave great recommendations for what to do in Penghu and helped us call cabs when needed. The only downside I can think of: there aren't a ton of choices for restaurants nearby. Other than that, our stay in Penghu was perfect! :)

Let's just say that this B&B was the highlight of my trip to Penghu. I loved staying here so much that I'm bringing my parents back in two weeks from now just to stay here! The B&B is small and can accommodate a total of 12 people but it is absolutely gorgeous. The owner has very high-end taste and he spent a lot of time and money in the interior decor and remodeling of the building. It feels like a luxury five-star hotel with the B&B homeyness when you stay here. The owner is very friendly and goes out of his way to accommodate your requests, provides snacks and drinks on top of the breakfast which he didn't have to do! Our stay was amazing!!! Keep in mind that the location is a fifteen minute drive from the main hub of Magong, but is right around the corner from the airport (in the middle of the island). If you want convenience to downtown, this is not the place for you. On the other hand, if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of it all, this is a very peaceful and serene area to stay in (which is more what we wanted out of an island getaway).

Me and my girlfriend stayed 3 nights at here and absolutely loved it. The host was extremely helpful and responded with care to our needs. It is an excellent value, our rooms were very clean and the hotel itself is very nice. The beds are very comfortable and full amenities were provided. The location itself is great, it is tucked away on the coast away from the hustle and noise of downtown Penghu. It was very relaxing and there is a beach within minutes of walking distance. You can catch beautiful sunrises here and the atmosphere is great if you want to just relax and unwind and get away from the noise of the city. Breakfast was delicious every morning and we had a different menu each morning. An excellent stay overall, definitely underrated and a hidden gem of Penghu.

If you want to have a perfect stay at Penghu Island,you definitely should stay at the Lovers Paradise and meet Andy and Hou! They are two very very lovely hosts who helped us planning our trip through the island, rent a scooter for us (which is very useful as not everyone speaks english there) and showed us the best places to visit on the island. Our room was very lovely decorated and clean, and the bed very comfortable. But one of the best things to mention is the food, Hou cooked for us... Everything was absolutely delicious! If you want to meet some wonderful natives at Penghu island and enjoy some wonderful days there, we highly recommend to stay at the Loving Hut Paradise!

it was great! the owners were very helpful, and helped us arrange places of interest to go such as snorkeling, fishing squids at night as well as having fresh oysters for breakfast! the room was comfortable and there's also a massage function on the shower where you can enjoy a massage spray while showering. there's also a 7-11 and cafe right opposite the b&b. we really loved our stay there and would definitely go back when we visit penghu again!

Summer Blue Sky is located less than 10 minutes walk to the beach at Shanshui Beach, Penghu, Taiwan. The beach itself is sand and not over populated with visitors. One can either take a pleasant walk along the beach itself or walk atop of the sea wall protected the small township from the sea level. The sand quality is rather soft, and the feet sink into the sand more than most beaches. Beware walking in the stream on the west end of the beach, here the soft quality of the sand is pronounced and the walker soon finds his/hers legs sinking 12 inches deep. A decent walk beyond the west end of the seawall takes you to Shanshui30 War Memorial Park at the top of a hill giving an overview of the township. Walking to the east of the sea wall brings you to the small local port. Summer Blue Sky staff are friendly and helpful, including a ride to and from the B&B. The room was large and airy. The room's private porch allowed us to dry our clothes after using the B&B's washing machine.

The homestay has three floors, with the second and third floor being ones that they post on websites like Agoda (because those have private bathrooms). There are several rooms on the first floor they reserve for extreme budget travelers like students, all of which have to share ONE bathroom. So technically they can accommodate more people if you have a large party if you contact the owners directly. The homestay is a bit dim and dingy when you walk in, but the rooms themselves are nice and clean (very small space and small bathrooms though). Outside in their yard you can rinse off the sand after coming back from the beach which is very close by. They also provide a washing machine for you to launder your clothes which is nice. Beware that they expect to bring your own bathing towels (which is really bizarre --- who does that?!?!) When you request towels, they give you really small face towels. This bit really should be addressed by the owners.

My husband and I could only say good things about our stay at this hotel. The hotel is beautiful and well maintained. The family running the hotel are gracious and went out of their way to assist guests in any way they could. The manager even went as far as to personally take us on a tour of the north island. His English was very good and he provided information about the sites that was on par with a professional tour guide. The hotel is remote, but my husband and I found it quite easy to take buses and taxis to and from Magong. If you are looking for an affordable hotel with gorgeous rooms and a friendly staff, then reserve a room at The Bay of Chen-Hai Penghu Homestay!

Would give Mahalo a 10,0 if it was possible to give the whole one single "score" :). The house is very stylish! Hadn't seen anything like it before. And the staff is amazing. SO helpful! I got picked up for free in Magong. And during my week in the guesthouse, they helped me with several things (I was there for 7 nights in a big double room). They booked a flight ticket for me (my credit card didn't work so the girl even payed herself so I could just give her cash), they booked two different boat tickets, they found a hotel on Jibei island for me (I couldn't find any, cause the websites that had cheap rooms was all in Chinese/Taiwanese, I think) and booked a room there/called the hotel to order pick-up... I was impressed by their organizational skills – they had to arrange many different "steps" for me and I felt comfortable that they were reliable and didn't forget anything. So good! At Mahalo, they were just so smiley and nice, all of them. The breakfast was nice and they had home made pizza and sandwiches for sale. I had a great week in a tiny neighbourhood in a cool house just a minute from the nice beach! Thank you!

We were lucky traveled in a non-peak season. Basically, we were the only occupant in this guest house. So, we felt treated like a VIP. Free hotel pick up from airport, bring us to dinner (famous beef noodle). The driver cum owner's brother in-law Ah Fui been very patience and friendly to explain and guide us what to be careful, watch up, don't drive motor too far when there's windy day, where to eat and what is good to visit. In case we need help, he is 24 hours standby, because he slept next door little house. Next morning, they prepared hot squid noodle soup based on our breakfast timing. I love the orange. And, the lady so warm to prepare more oranges for me on next day. The breakfast is simple, nice and delicious. The dishes doesn't require any sauce, because the seafood is so fresh to eat in a simple way, we just love it! The little house is inside a village, yet close to the main road of west island of Penghu. about 500m away from 7-eleven. They can assist us to rent the motor bike (Tw300 for 24 hours). This west area has the most natural scene to see. We spend 2 days 2 nights here. The guest house prepare a map which we will not miss our way at all (provide you know how to read map well). We enjoyed much here.
