I wish there was a kettle in the room.”
I would stay at this hotel more except I like my coffee and not having a kettle in the room and not one available from reception is a disappointment. I always bring my own supplies but having no kettle made this useless. For the rest a good hotel for price and location.

Very good place to be near the Night Market”
We stayed 3 days here in February, and our room was very modern and comfortable. Good breakfast included. To my surprise, I was even able to watch the Super Bowl on their TV stations! it is very close to the Night Market, if that is your main objective. We usually stay in the Old City. Recommended for this area of town.

A PLEASANT STAY IN CHIANG MAI”
I am not a fussy person so I feel that this hotel was an excellent choice based on the rate I had to pay to stay there for three nights. Very near to Anusarn Market, and other night markets in the city so basically everything is actually nearby. The hotel does not provide kettle in the rooms which could be troublesome for some people. However, the staff at the counter managed to lend me a thermos which was good enough. Most of the staff at the counter speak minimal English except the one on the night shift called "Pop" (if I am not mistaken) so conversation was quite limited. I would still recommend this place and if I were to come back to CM again, I would not hesitate to stay here.

Good Location”
This was my first visit to Chiang Mai and I selected the people place hotel for its location which was 2 minutes from the night market. I found the hotel value for money, the staff were friendly and the rooms clean. Buffett breakfast was including and there was an option to purchase different cooked breakfasts at a reasonable price. Overall I was pleased with my stay and I would consider booking again next year.

Good value accommodation”
Enjoyed my week long stay at the hotel ( recommended by a friend )I enjoyed breakfast, basic but good variety. I had to laugh at a few of the previous reviews complaining about the food, get real! look at what you are paying per night and maybe try eating Thai. There's more to life than Bacon and Eggs !!! All in all People Place 2 served it's purpose for me at a budget price. Great Thai food at Lemongrass Thai restaurant in Loi Kroh Road ( 5-10 mins walk ), NRL, Super 15 & Aussie Rules live at the Down Under Pub, and cold beer for footy desperados just up the street ( also in Loi Kroh ). Yahoo!!!! PS: Farang be prepared for some serious drenchings while Songkran is happening, all good fun though. Be safe and have fun.

Solid Good Place!”
Very good place for the money. Perhaps they could invest in some smaller hand towels for guest, not just one or two larger bath towels. The tourist map could be clarified and improved to show the street food market to the south, and not just the night market diirectly to the north. Also, the staff might want to advise tourists they can use Grab and Uber quite easily to get well priced taxis, real cars, air conditioned. And lastly, any hotel that has Fox News on tv should also have CNN. Otherwise great place and location for the price.

Nice Location”
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at People Place 2. The location was convenient for the Night Bazaar, and it was also near the Ping river, so it was fairly quiet. The room was adequate, and the breakfast was OK.

Close to markets.”
Top location. Stayed here on and off over the last 6 years. Cheaper now than before and the only difference was the breakfast was a little 'tired' this time. Bedding had a hole and reported it so I didn't get stung with the cost and they were cool about it. Really good place to stay as you can walk to the night markets in about 3 minutes. Quick tuk tuk ride to 'drinking street' or about a 10 minute walk. Would stay here again for sure, it has everything we need. Oh, got two blankets on the bed so there was no 2am struggle. Super idea.

Comfortable stay”
A pleasant stay with the location ideal for exploring the night market and the city centre. The room was clean and quiet if not a little dated but ideal for a short stay. Being able to walk 5 minutes and be in the centre of the night market also makes this hotel a good choice. Overall would choose this hotel again if needing somewhere centrally in Chiang Mai for a short stay.

Simple Hotel”
We stayed for 2 nights and taking tours so we do not might how the hotel looked like or whether it was comfortable or not as we are only at the hotel for the night. This is a very simple and budget hotel so if you are looking for a fancy hotel, this will not be the right choice. The only best thing about staying at this hotel is that it is walking distance to the Night Bazaar which is only 2 to 3 mins walk away. I was not really very happy about the breakfast as it was very simple with Fried Rice and there is no ham, bacon or friend egg. They do have bread, pastries and cereal though.
