Beautiful spot right next to the water”
I don’t think I’ve ever stayed at a bad Peppers resort and the one in Launceston is no exception. We absolutely loved our stay at Peppers Seaport Hotel. The staff were friendly, the room was great and the location was right on the water. It’s only a 1-2 min drive to the main part of time where all the shops and restaurants are located. We only stayed one night however we wished we were staying longer! If you have a car with you which you want to park at the hotel then the cost is $8 per day, which sucks but that’s the council’s fault not Peppers. I definitely recommend this hotel.
Great hotel with friendly staff”
i enjoyed staying at peppers seaport hotel. it was clean and comfortable with very friendly and helpful reception staff. i really liked the variety of restaurants and cafes, literally at your doorstep. there's also great view of the gorge and the district hill with the gorge cruise only 5 minutes away. the only disappointment was the sofa bed. it was too uncomfortable and gave me a backache next morning. however, overall, it was a lovely hotel and i would recommend it to anyone visiting launceston.
Peaceful stay at our "base camp" - Launceston”
Enjoyed our 3 night stay at Peppers Seaport Hotel Launceston with a river view room. Big clean and comfortable room. Friendly and polite staff. Restaurants surround the hotel on the boardwalk. 5-10mins walk into town. 15 mins drive to airport (taxi $45). Good and peaceful "base camp" while we went on 2x day tours to Freycinet and Cradle Mountain.
Nice and relaxing but a little too quiet! ”
No complaints abt the location and quality of the hotel and the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and perfect size for a couple. My one big complaint though is abt the pillows, they were awful. There was a big group of us and we all had the same complaint. So peppers, if you're reading this please invest in some quality pillows to go with the comfy beds. We liked Tassie but found 4 days in and around Launceston was prob too long.
location, seaport view”
located in the port of launceston indeed makes it a nice experience to stay in launceston, you will need car definitely if you want to stroll to city unless you don't mind to walk for 20-25 mins, but it's an experince for more quiet place. facing to the port with a very nice seafood restaurant downstair makes it perfect. room is ok as well staff.
Great location and view, close to city centre”
My wife and I stayted two nights in the Peppers Seaport Hotel. The location of the hotel is great, within 10 mins walk to the city centre and the restaurants. The staff were very friendly. Room is clean and tidy. However, no free parking is provided.
Great pier-side view with nice restaurant around”
we stayed only 1 night in launceston and the view is just as good as it is seen from pics. the location is right in the middle of the town so it's quite accessible for searching restaurant to dine out at night! room is neat and tidy and the air con is quite responsive for the adjustments to our picky needs in either cool or warm. staff are friendly and supportive. it's winter time as we visit so we didnt actually look up for any boat ride, but definitly will be a big plus if there is one right out of the pier for visitor! one note is that a parking permit is required for each night to park outside of the hotel.
Excellent Reception Service”
it was my first day arrived at launceston and i was trying to make reservation for car rental. so, luckily they've got free wifi & notebook access which makes my life much much easier. however, it was successfully booked on the internet. and i 've been fortune to make 21 phone calls and the last call i rang was thirfty and successfully booked a suzuki swift during high season period. of course i have a wonderful stay and enjoying the restaurant nearby. however, it is necessary to make table reservation beforehand.
Great location Great View”
Welcomed by very friendly staff who was extremely informative about food options and facilities of the hotel and around it. Food at Mud Bar and Spice was delicious. We cld reach the city centre by car within minutes. The room had a beautiful view of the wharf although there was a boat that would sail back and forth with a bright light shining in our rooms. The cleanliness of the room could be improved. Our kettle still had tea leaves and water in it, toilet wasn't well cleaned and the sofa had loads of dirt trapped in it. Neverheless still would consider staying here if we return to Launceston.
Great location, lots of good food options around”
Peppers Seaport's room is comfortable and clean. If you are deciding between city and water view, go for the water view. It is MUCH better. The city view faces car dealerships and a small Telstra building with lots of cars on the roads, PLUS you will be facing the open-air carpark in front of Peppers. Not picturesque at all. You will have the curtains closed as soon as you walk into the room. Water view is peaceful and has no obstructions. We were there at the right time when Sundown Cinema was held every Sunday for a short period of time. The cinema is set up just behind Peppers between the hotel and the water. Great spot to hold the cinema. If you have the water view room, you can watch it just sitting on the balcony. Peppers is very close to many good food options. Just in the vicinity, there are popular restaurants like Mudbar, Fish&Chips, and an Indian/Punjabi restaurant. Just about 8-10min walk you get a great Chinese restaurant called Me Wah, which is also around the corner from the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery! Cataract Gorge is not too far from the hotel, and the jetty where the river cruises depart from is just a 2 minute walk from the hotel. Very centralised.
Great stay!”
Perfect! We just love staying at Peppers whilst in Launceston. Great location, very helpful staff, and gorgeous rooms!
N/A”
We had a wonderful time at Peppers Seaport Hotel and would definitely stay there again.
A great place to stay.”
I enjoyed my stay here and found everything up to scratch. Whenever i'm back in Launceston i'll definitely stay here again.
Need better concierge”
Our stay at the hotel was OK, there was a drip outside our balcony which dripped consistently throughout the night. We advised the staff member the next morning and were told that it was because it rained - it didn't rain all night which is frustrating to be blown off like that. The male receptionist was fantastic, booked us into a lovely restaurant for our anniversary as it was good friday and we weren't sure what would be available. The next day we spoke with a female receptions (older lady) regarding the cruise to freycinet and were told "I've never been there, don't know anything about it". If you are in a location like Launceston which is only 150km from a major tourist attraction you would think they would be knowledgable about it or if they don't know, find out for you.
Excellent weekend away”
We had a wonderful weekend away, Peppers Resort is very comfort we slept well no noise, the restaurant Mud serves excellent food and the position of the resort is close to other restaurants, cafés and entertainment. We will return
Excellent hotel”
We had a pleasant stay when we stay in Peppers seaport hotel with our older children in this trip!
Great Location Excelent hotel”
Only stayed the one night but was very impressed with the hotel.Had a standard room on the city side and was ok.Many restaurants all around so didn't eat at the hotel.Staff very friendly and helpful would stay at this hotel next time for sure. TIP. If flying in the shuttle bus at the airport was really good, drops you off at your hotel and picks you up and takes you back to the airport.$25 for 2 people
Great Stay”
Wonderful place to stay in Launceston
Nice location and food”
20 mins walk from Cataract Geoge and downtown Located at seaport. Nice view. Nice food at Mudbar.
a cozy hotel at a very nice waterfront location”
We spent a night at the hotel. Our room faced the car park but that's not a problem as it wasn't a busy or noisy car park. The hotel itself is located right at Seaport waterfront. We took a walk from the hotel to King's bridge and had dinner at a restaurant near the windmill. The food was great. The next morning, I walked from the hotel to the City Park and around CBD. It's Sunday so the city was very quiet but it's nice.
