Good beachfront camping spot”
All the tents are under a big roof to protect from the rain, and each guest is provided a pillow and blanket. It was lovely to be sleeping right on the beach and be able to hear the waves rolling in at night. For me the facilities were lacking - even for a camp site. The shower was just an outdoor one (meaning needing to wear swimwear), the toilets were very unclean, and the electricity for charging phones etc. was very unreliable (only on at night and sometimes not at all). In terms of location on Pulau Perhentian Besar, this was in the "family side" of the island, and I found it a bit too quiet. There was a hike to the other side with more resorts or you can hire a boat to take you around for some more activities and food etc.. Not a bad stay, but next time I think I would prefer to stay on the other side of the Island (or the other more lively Island altogether).

The boat are included on the price but if you don’t ask them, they will not suggest it to you and keep your money (70RM) Five days : not even one cleaning of the toilet. and the toilet were disgusting ! No wifi and they don’t let you know before you arrived !!!! Electricity only from 6pm The only good thing is the price

Cabana Sweatbox”
There’s no wind coming in from the beach so the whole night you are sweating constantly. Also unless you bring your own mattress it’s just the floor your sleeping on. Your better off sleeping in one of the hammocks on the beach. Although the man who runs it is extremely nice and the food there isn’t bad also.

Friendly Owner”
What can you expect more if you stay in a tent? They have a clean toilet+shower and excellent location, exactly facing the beach. The owner was so friendly. He will try his best for his customer satisfaction. Plus, the food at their cafe is so delicious.

Could be so much better”
First, the owner was lovely with us and the position gorgeous on the beach BUT There is no effort whatsoever to make your stay confortable. It is ok for one night really, two max. A minimum would be providing the futon as advertised and not letting us sleep on the floor. The bathrooms ... Let's say extremely basical... Even if the toilet is clean! I saw the owner cleaning it everyday. But the most annoying is the generator noise all night ... I would say, good place if you stay just a couple of nights and have your own matelas.

We had to sleep in the floor of the cafeteria, a storm make us out of the tent! The tent was very old and the water was getting in! We where payed for two nights but we just stay one because we didn't want to spend another night sleeping outside!

Wrongly marketed ”
Online we could choose whether we wanted a single or double bed, but when we checked in, the staff asked us for a 10rm charge to receive a mattress at all. We had a small discussion and thought we would get one, instead we had a very thin layer of a floor cover, no pillow and no blanket. The staff also asked us to only eat in their restaurant and if we wanted to snorkel to only book with them. We perceived this as quite rude as the guy didn't seem to be joking but tried talking us into buying more services with them. We didn't feel comfortable at all, although the location is perfect directly on the beach. We left after one night, althoigh we had booked and paid for three. Can't recommend booking with them.

The location is fantastic, the food and drinks were super tasty and such good value for money. The owner is great, very helpful and informative and great to talk to. There was however no wifi as advertised (we are digital nomads so this was important), and the electricity only turns on around 7pm and off again at 9am in the mornings. We also had nothing to sleep on in our tent, literally just a blanket :( Everything else was great :)

Pas de Wifi, pas d’électricité en journée, pas de matelas ni de couverture ou d’oreiller lors de mon arrivée. J’ai du demandé et m’en ont finalement prêter (vers 19h). L’annonce ne correspond pas au lieu et ce qui est proposé.

Sympa”
Campement aux installations (sanitaires, douches) assez spartiates mais personnel très gentil et qui s'est bien occupé de nous (réservation des transferts en bateau notamment). Le restaurant qui est raccroché sert de bons plats locaux (pas goûté les plats occidentaux mais il y'en a). L'emplacement est super sur une plage magnifique et calme. Je recommande pour une nuit ou deux un peu "aventure".
