....very sorry to say: Management could do better. The staff at site does what they can in the framework set by the management. Fees aked for kayak etc are high, excursions are costly, breakfast is sub standard, set dinner provided is tasty but basic. In case of emergency at night - if you don`'t have a Malaysian sim card - you will face a problem. The management should communicate more clearly: Yes, there is no WiFi in the rooms. Yes, the WiFi in the public areas is not fast. Yes, the restaurant does not provide alcohol.

Well it was an impromptu trip to santubong. Staying here was amazing. 1 night is never enough. We stayed in Cabin 12, nearest to jungle pool and halfway to the 2nd beach. Our cabin is just nice for 6 of us. Room was spacious. No aircond, just fan but at night it was just cold - do bring your sweater. Recommended for group of friends who just want to have fun in nature.
Only stay if you are prepared to ‘rough it’”
We arrived. Checked in. Eventually we were taken to our room - a treetops room overlooking the sea. A beautiful view. However as we walked up the wooden steps to the treetop room, they were very wobbly, some basic repairs had been made, but it all felt precarious. The room had lots of gaps in floorboards and walls. Having lived in Asia for 18 years, we knew we would be feasted upon by the mosquitos etc at night so decided to cut our losses and leave. The staff were very pleasant. With a little more care & investment this could be an amazing place!

more of a camp than a resort”
Far too expensive for the product offered. We had a great time there but had different expectations of the quality of the accommodation (we stayed in a tree house). It took us a couple of days to realise that a squirrel was breaking in through the torn fly screen and eating our food! The balcony railing was broken and unsafe for children, so we didn't use the balcony. The restaurant was quite good and was great to have breakfast and dinner included. There was also more garbage scattered about than I would ha 've expected. It's such a beautiful location to be between the beach and the jungle, they either need to overhaul their offerings or to lower the price.

We stayed in a tree house and loved it in spite of monsoon rains and storms. More needs to be done to maintain the buildings in terms of securing windows and mossie screens and making rooms more comfortablefor the money they charge. However to connect with nature it can't be beaten and the staff were lovely. We would come again.
Thanks a lot for your time to review our resort. We really appreciate it. Anyway, i am glad to hear that your are enjoyed during your staying here. Yea, we really welcome you to stay back here in other days. With regards to the matter above, our management are in their progress to make the renovation on treehouses and cabin to get it well maintain and value for money. Hope to see you again. Relaxing in natural without TV”
The air were fresh here. They got two beautiful beach and a natural waterfall pool. It was cool to dip into the pool when the weather was hot, because the cold water will refresh us. At night, if to full after had the yummy dinner prepared by the cafeteria, can have a walk and listen to the frogs singing 🎶 in the woods. They are tree frog if you can saw them from the woods, but don't catch them.
Thanks for your time to make review for our property, we really appreciate in and we welcome you to stay here again

THE BEST HOTEL!”
- staff is super friendly - varieties of food for breakfast and dinner - so much activities to do - beautiful treehouse - perfect sunset from The Feeding Tree - super clean forest and waterfall - a very well maintained resort - staff was very helpful with our luggage - KEEP IT UP!
Treehouse was amazing”
We were so excited to stay in the treehouse, and this didn't disappoint! What an amazing setting. The beaches are sandy and swimmable, though the water was really murky when we were there. The pool is unique (though a bit treacherous with a 5 year old that likes to jump in). We loved this unique spot. Stayed 2 nights in a treehouse with our 5 and 7 year olds and they absolutely adored it. We saw silver leaf monkeys, macaques and a proboscis monkey on site. And there was a bonfire on saturday night. You have to walk to the convenience store at Damai center to get a beer--but it's only a 10 minute walk there. Sarawak Cultural Center was interesting and great for the kids. We also did the waterfall hike, but it's a 90 minute hike within the resort and looked to be a bit much for our kids. We did the trailhead within Mt Santubong National Park, right up the road, which gets you to the same waterfall. That is billed as 20 minutes, but still took us 45 minutes.
Thanks for your feedback, we really appreciate it to get our improvement. We welcome you to stay here again. Hope to see you soon.
Back to basics”
Great for accessibility and quiet. The limited number of rooms = less guests. Bring your own toiletries. Expect armies of mozzies so do take lotsa preventive measures! Love the 1.5hr backyard jungle trail. Suggestion: burn anti-mozzie incense around the Feeding Tree.
Three Year Old & Tree Houses”
Travelled alone with my three year old as he wanted to stay in a tree house. We loved it. Staff were really friendly and location was perfect. We spent 4 days playing and exploring the beaches, mountain streams and jungle pool.
Thanks a lot for staying with us, We welcome you stay here again :)
What a fantastic resort. Its a unique opportunity to live close to nature in a jungle setting, with access to a beach, kayaks, nature trails, not to mention mellow out in a treetop cabin. Staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Would have wanted to stay much much longer thsn 2 days. Hope to come back one day.
Thanks a lot for staying with us. We welcome you to come here again :) See you soon
Strongly recommend for the non-sarawakians who thought that locals living on the tree.
Thank you for taking the time to review our property, your comments are very much valued. We welcome you stay here again
Rain forest World Music Festival 2017 ”
Pros: The stay was good, 15mins walking distance to Sarawak Cultural Village (RWMF). Not much choice for food but it was good. Helpful staff Cons: Room sliding door at the balcony need some maintenance, difficult to open.
It is "primitive jungle" but everything works fine”
Stayed in Chalet no 18, and it is nice and clean, sofa and table for coffee and card games after dark. A/C a bit too hot in right room, other room and hot water shower worked fine. Beaches are sandy with big rocks that are easily spotted. Jungle pool (natural with freshwater) is cool and refreshing. Breakfast is OK, it might be a good idea to also let people choose from menu (for a charge of course) Dinner - OK, was surprised that my very choosy grandchildren liked it. High Rope walk great and scary according to the children. Instructors fantastic. Wild life: We spotted monkeys (not the proboscis) a snake, a big lizard, squirrel, a huge spider in the cafe and lots of birds and insects. Staff speaks reasonably good English and is very friendly and service minded. A very nice stay. Advise: If you fancy a beer and a cigar after dark - bring it from Kuching.
Beautiful beach and amazing views”
We loved the sea, swimming in the ocean, the night river cruise to see crocodiles, fireflies and probiscus monkey. The staff were friendly and helpful. We ate good food, drank fresh coconuts and enjoyed relaxing break. We did the lovely jungle trek, swam in jungle pool, watched vipers on trees, saw monitor lizards up close. We did early morning beach yoga and runs and had a fun time playing about. The cabin was clean and basic... perfect for our family of five
really eco-type ease”
Paths wind over bridges and along the forest at the edge of the sea....and lead to cabins which have verandah's overlooking the forest. The two beaches are nice, the waterfall pool is delightful and the resort is close enough to a couple of others to have a change of location for dinner. The forest paths are nicely challenging and last about 1.5 hours and there is more extensive climbing at Mt Santabong 15 mins walk away. We went in heavy rainy season but still enjoyed the resort a lot.
Great stay in the middle of the rainforest”
I had a treehouse for myself and it was such a great stay. Sure the wifi is weak and only available in the restaurant area a few minutes walk from the treehouse, sure the treehouse would benefit from refurbishment, but it all just added to the charm of the stay. It rained the whole weekend there and the rain was very loud on the roof of the treehouse and there wasn't much to do as the sea was very agitated so no sea activities were possible but I loved the stay, it was a real disconection from the routine, all you need is a great book and a peaceful mindset to enjoy the surroundings and charms of the Borneo rainforest!
Perfect sea view”
We stayed in the tree house no.2, which has the perfect sea view not obscured by the rainforest, the view is so beautiful that we feel we wake up in the rainforest, the breeze, the sunshine and the wave sound. The breakfast is nice with local Sarawak delicacies. Definitely will visit again.
in the jungle”
Kind and helpful staff. We stayed in a tree house with sea view. The resort has primary rainforest surrounding. We did the night hike with a guide explaining and showing the animals of the rain forest. Awesome experience!
