Great staff, very helpful with everything! Your room comes stock with drinks and snack upon arrival! Also the location is prefect and the view from up top is worth the money!

excellent rooftop area”
I chose this place only for the rooftop and I was right.. it is a great place, large area and pool, nice place to hang out and have a drink. I can't say much about the room (it was the cheapest :). The breakfast was the best I had in 2 weeks in Brasil ! Congrats for pool and breakfast.

Maybe it was just bad timing but the whole weekend I stayed the rooftop was for "privelaged" only. So after traveling 20 hours I was not able to go enjoy the music and view or sleep because of the music vibrating the walls. I was on 12th floor directly below rooftop. Other than that the place was exceptional. The front desk staff was top notch. The people running the skybar not so much. Maybe send out notices to paying customers that amenities advertised will be unavailable.

Had to change rooms due to AC not working. Mold in shower on tile. Elevators very slow with one shut down at all times. Maid service very late in the day.

Great Location!”
Can't really beat the location. Right on the main artery of Copacabana - Avenida Atlantica! If you are willing to pay some money then you will have a nice ocean view room. Night club "Help" is 2 minutes away. I did not care for the breakfast layout. Fruit was questionable, service was slow, bread not fresh. Food in general was not too good. I did, however, enjoy the bar. They made a caipirinha that pretty much knocked me on my ass (exaggeration of course) but it had a nice kick to it. Very accommodating service with hotel staff.

Great location, nice hotel”
We stayed in Pestana for New Years this year, and really enjoyed our stay there. The location is great - right in the middle of Copacabana beach, very good buffet breakfast with a huge selection, and really friendly staff who would try their best to accommodate everyone. The only downside is that the rooms are not modern or new. They are quite run down, so it you expect a polished sparkling rooms with new furniture, you may be a little disappointed.

The hotel had its best years”
We waited one hour to check-in as there have been some trubbles with the reservation, at least we got free breakfast for the wait. The rooms are ok but you can the walls pealing off in the rooms and small damages everywhere. The jacuzzi was a joke, it's totally had its years. Give this place a renovation and you have a solid 4-star hotel. At least the price is ok for a first row copacabana hotel.

great location on Copacabana Beach. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. easy and efficient check in and even allowed us to have a late check out. The buffet breakfast is delicious. The rooms are small and sparse, beds are old and not real comfortable, the maid kept taking away our blankets. there is no where in the room to put your clothes. Make sure that you have a beach view, it is definitely worth it. Great view from roof top pool.

Adequate room - but the rooftop pool is superb”
I had a great stay. I chose the hotel because of the pool and the view and it was great. The rooms were clean and the hotel staff friendly (as friendly as Brazilians go that is). I was disappointed though with the breakfast buffet which was the same every day and extremely limited. The air conditioner in the room was also extremely loud but I see no reason to not recommend.

I regretted my stay in the hotel the complete hotel needs renovation,no free Internet,& cost very high also the top swimming pool & health club needs complete change,Not only this I stayed for 7 nights on Copacabana beach & not once did I swim in the water,the water has very foul smell & the water looked like Gutter water ( Sewage water ) .The only thing is the scary picture that is given to you by everyone regarding the unsafe part of Rio de Janeiro was not seen by me at all including all Taxis,streets,shops etc. I was moving freely with my Watch,Ruby ring,Camera etc.everywhere.The New Years was great because you see 3 million people on the beach with everyone partying complete safety ,the fire works lasted for 20 minutes with spectacular display.Instead I recommend strongly for all others to stay on Ipenema & Leblon Beaches they are O.K.

Not a bad stay but certainly not a 5 star hotel”
The reception is up to the level of a 4/5 star hotel but the room is that of a 3 star. The room was very small and not well maintained. They seem to have major problems with doors. They never work. Door to the balcony, entrance, closet, all broken. And the cleaning service does not care to report it. On the other hand, the cleaning service barely made up my bed. The location is good. The wifi works reasonably well.

Getting worse with each stay”
This was a good hotel when it was renovated. But i have notice it going downhill since. Rooms are not well kept and toiletries are always lacking. Something is always missing: a towel, facial tissue, mat, etc. Waiting for the elevators is frustrating as the third elevator is not always switched on.

Nice rooms, terrible xervice”
Nice rooms but poor service. We were told our bags would taken to our room and 2 hours later nothing had arrived. We tried to call reception but it was constantly engaged. You have to pay for wifi which is a joke. Not only that but you have to constantly keep calling reception to get a new password. Reception not helpful at all. I have had much better service and free wifi in hostels costing £20 per night. The only positive about this place is the fact the rooms are quite nice. i am sure you find better value at other hotels.

The hotel is not worth $200/night. And it's definitely. not a 5 stars, it's max 3. Keep looking - you'll be still allowed to take a picture of Copacabana at night from its roof even if you don't stay here...

Bad service, rude staff”
I would not call this a 5 star hotel. Its more like 3 star in my opinion. The staff were rude and not helpful when we told them that we're late to catch our flight. The toilets were quite filthy. They did not mop the toilet floor once in the 7 nights i stayed there.
