Although we booked the Temple Suite & Spa we had to stay at the Petit Villa Boutique just down the road due to construction and routine maintenance. The Petit Villa Boutique however is just as beautiful as Temple Spa. A small number of rooms and a pool set amongst a vast array of trees and plants. It seems a world away from the the rest of Siem Reap. It's very quiet and relaxing which is just what we wanted. The staff are amazing. Agoda messed up our booking, but without going into too much detail the staff went above and beyond to make our stay one to remember. The food was delicious! We stuck to Vietnamese as much as possible when we ate in the hotel. Other worldwide options were available though. The rooms were very spacious. A large comfortable bed, wardrobe and bathroom with shower and bath. The only let down was the cleanliness of the room. It wasn't perfect but neither was it unclean. It could just have done with a little extra care. The staff were fantastic. Booking us an in-house spa treatment, a tour of the Angkor Archaeological Park, teaching us a little Khmer and giving advice on places to eat. They really helped make the stay enjoyable. Lounging around the pool is the best thing to do. It's so serene and relaxing. Having great cocktails, Cambodian beer and fruit juices brought over while you chill out on the beds or in the pool was so nice. The location was great for us. Only a short walk into the centre but far enough away to leave the hustle and bustle behind. Some great cafe's and restaurants just around the corner. Also a great little spot to get laundry done a few doors down. We'd certainly go back to either of the Petit Hotels if we visit Siem Reap again.
Incredible service, underrated location”
The room was very spacious, and the location was ideal, but it was the service that puts Petit Temple over the top. The staff was dedicated to our comfort and completely committed to hospitality, and we are completely grateful. The location is also underrated--there's a concentration of other accommodations five minutes away, but the Wat Damnak area is ideal: It's a very short walk over the river to Pub Street, the Old Market and the Central Market areas, but the small distance allows this place to be quiet and serene (a real blessing after a day with swarms of tourists at Angkor Wat, or a late night at Pub Street). Also just a short walk from Cuisine Wat Damnak, another must-visit in Siem Reap. No hassles at all, and the staff gave us a generous allowance for late check out when we told them our flight out was late in the evening. It was those kind little touches that really made this visit.
This place is great. The staff are lovely, very helpful and all the service is excellent. We thought the photos of the jungle and temple style interiors and exteriors couldn't be real, but they are. We loved our room, even without it looking out at the lovely pool. Good location, 5 minute walk into the centre of Siem Reap, food and drink in the hotel is all reasonably priced and the spa treatments are good too. Can't recommend this place highly enough, we had an amazing time.
Loved this hotel & this is why”
I loved staying at the Petit Temple Suite & Spa! I went with my boyfriend and another couple. We were greeted with mango juice as we arrived, which was a great way to welcome us after a long day of traveling! I love how the hotel has a jungle feel with trees and bushes throughout the lobby and by the rooms. The room size was great with comfortable beds and a fun jungle themed bathroom. We had a family room which was a great option for a hotel to offer. The hotel gives free breakfast which included getting to choose an option from a menu for free, which was very nice. The service was great and we were able to eat lunch several times at the hotel instead of having to go out. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I plan on going back next time I go to Siem Reap.
Beautiful, Quiet, Original Retreat. Walk to Market”
If you are a looking for an Awesome, Quiet, Beautiful, Comfortable and close enough place to stay that you can walk everywhere, this cute boutique "temple" is all it says it is. I stayed 4 nights and enjoyed every moment of it. Hotel Staff are true heart of what makes Cambodia a very special and very pleasant place to visit. They are there not just to help you with whatever you may need ( which they do a great job at ) but also to show you what Cambodia truly is. Try it and you will know. My whole stay there was very gratifying. Rooms are large and have all you may need. Bath tubs are awesome, all around design is unique and outdoor space nice a plus. The pool is a gem to cool off in. All the plantings make this a great tropical garden setting. I tried 2 different massage styles and both were awesome ( and I'm picky ). Hotel restaurant has a large local menu selection, though prices are not cheap ( $10-$20) but worth the experience. Some of the other comments about older room floor are true but this really does not take away from the experience. I am looking forward to going back to Siam Reap and staying there for sure again. If you pick this you won't regret. Thank you Petite Temple for a great stay!
Lovely place very friendly staff ”
Fetl like we walk into the old ancient of Angkor civilization (wow petit temple suite!) with amazing design from them moments we stepped into their reception hall that recived a warmest greeting with an genuine smile from staff members. Ushered to the room and my inner feeling tell me this is what I booked for and surprisingly explained by staff what so special about their bathroom overhead is the shower head spray water through the linga for showering and this unique design make us feel like yes we in the ancient temple with an attentive service by staff Thank you for making our trip so unique that I never encountered and we definitely come back with higly recommended petit temple . Don't forget to try thei massage very reasonable price and good spa treatments
Heavenly for a memorable stay”
Beautiful hotel. Friendly staff. We asked for a pool view room and the 1st one given to us wasn't very bright so we asked for a another one. The second one given to us was beautiful, spacious and bright. The restaurant breakfast has some great Khmer local delights, The cold soup was our favorite! Also they are very understanding and flexible with early check-in and late check-outs provided they don't have a rush in of guests. We borrowed guide books from the hotel and they were kind enough to let us use for our entire stay there (usually markets and attractions sell guide books too) and return it upon our check-out. Hotel is kind enough to offer some good tour packages, but you can still bargain if you feel it may be expensive or can always head out and look for agencies and tuk-tuk drivers who would also help arrange packages. Swimming in the hotel pool after a hot day at Siem Reap will be your best yet at this place. Its quite shady with lot of plantations and trees surrounding the pool, hence it can be enjoyed even midday! The Khmer traditional massages however at the spa were bit of a letdown for us. I'm sure you can get better massages elsewhere. Overall, it will be a very pleasant stay to remember by :)
We stayed there for 3 nights. The place is very lush and charming. The pool is surrounded by plants and trees which make swimming very nice as well. Food was also delicious, we ordered several times from their restaurant. The hotel in general was quite, if ever you are particular to that. The rooms have a unique feature, we stayed in their family suite and it was huge. Housekeeping, though, should be improved. They leave some uncleaned portions obvious. Other than that, their service was great, Sam, their waiter ought to be mentioned here as he was really very friendly especially to our toddler. He tried his best to make our stay comfortable. The receptionists were also very accomodating to our request. They even allowed very late checkout for us. Definitely recommending this place if you want to have something personal in your stay. It's a walking distance to the pub street, night market and a lot more. We would stay again in this hotel if we are coming back to Siem Reap.
Dear Melanie, A warmest greetings from Petit Temple Suite & Spa ! We thank you for the feedback toward our place for the improvement and we honored to having you staying with us and looking forward to welcoming you back home soon We took your comment very seriously to ensure our guest enjoy the stay with us It would be very useful for to get instant feedback in order that you enjoy the service that we could offered With kind regards, Sokthy SOEUNG Managing Director
Beautiful boutique hotel with wonderful staff ”
I stayed at Petit Temple Suite and Spa for three nights as part of a trip across Cambodia. The hotel was tranquil and beautifully designed. The walkway to the rooms bridges lotus pools; the fittings are carved wood and stone. Petit Temple is within walking distance of night markets and pub street, but removed enough that you can hear the frogs and geckos in the evening. Staff at Petit Temple were attentive but un-intrusive, and the manager personally assisted in arranging our transportation to Battembang. Thank you for a great stay.
cool sojourn in a hot town”
Отзыв о Petit Temple Suite & Spa Отзыв в обработке It’s a real oasis for a traveler. Reminiscent of Angkor, but granting freshness, relax and comfort. Exceptional design, unique bathroom, swimming pool surrounded by wild greens. Like the origin it is all on the water. The hotel lives up to its name! The staff – Chomrouen, Hort and nice girls - Kim Houy and Khania –are very hospitable, friendly and helpful. And mr. Roth (of course!)- the driver and a night porter . Great service, cleanliness, beautiful served dishes, good breakfast, local and international cuisine, shakes and freshes.
Fantastic - will return as soon as I can!!!!”
First time in Cambodia, wasn't sure what to expect. So happy we chose this place. Although the hotel forgot to pick us up from the airport which was part of the package, they certainly compromised. We were upgraded to a huge, very beautiful room with a large balcony. All rooms overlook the pool, the gardens around the pool are beautiful, the food in the restaurant great with lots of options, my fellow travellers had a massage which they raved about, the staff were absolutely wonderful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this fabulous hotel, and will definitely stay here next time I'm in Siem Reap. Thank you so much for making our stay so memorable.
Wonderful Resort Near Night Market”
I stay this hotel only one night, But it was amazing stay at Petit Temple Suite & Spa. We love the pool, breakfast and especially the room with beautiful setup for me. They arrange very nice room and nice views, The staff at this hotel make me feel very happy and comfortable stay hotel. For sure we will be back to stay this hotel again for our next trip. Lovely Regards, Songming
LOvely boutique hotel in central Siem Reap”
We had a wonderful stay at Petit Temple. Our room was beautiful, as was the pool and breakfast areas - it feels like a lush garden hideaway in the middle of town. However, we were disappointed to find out on arrival that due to a confusion over our booking we were unable to stay at the hotel on our first night (despite my sending two confirmation emails the week before and not receiving a reply to either). That said, alternative accommodation was arranged for us, and our luggage was moved for us the next day, so inconvenience was minimised. We were also offered complimentary massages as compensation. The spa room was lovely. However, unfortunately, the masseurs appeared not be very well-trained or professional. While my Thai massage was still an enjoyable experience, it seemed strange that no pyjamas were provided and I was left to wear the clothes I arrived in. It was also frankly bizarre to have the masseurs talking to each other throughout, and one even going to the bathroom mid massage!
Hidden Gem ! ”
This was our 1st time in Cambodia. We chose Petit Temple Suite & Spa, because it was small. It's in a great location, just in walking distance to town. The staff is amazing. They attended to our needs right away. The staff is always friendly and helpful. You can relax at the pool or on your porch or balcony. We stayed for 14 days and it was very hart for us to leave these wonderful people and country.
Lovely staff, good location ”
The staff at the hotel are lovely and very helpful:) We stayed in a family room, which was mostly well proportioned, clean and attractive to look at, however there were a few cons. The beds are quite hard (as they are at many hotels in Siem Reap), and the shower just one stream of water (like a tap). We also couldn’t get the water to warm up at all, so had cold showers. The bathroom was quite small, but the size was not an issue for us. There were no curtains or blinds over the glass double doors to the balcony which face immediately into another room, making it difficult to have privacy. Overall it was god value for money and the staff were excellent, however we wouldn’t stay there again.
Wonderful oasis in Siem Reap”
A charming and welcome oasis in dusty, noisy Siem Reap. Fabulous rooms with lovely balconies overlooking the pool. The staff, particularly manager Peter were wonderful and organised our temple trips seamlessly. You get a lot for your money.
Very Accomodating Staff”
Pros: - Big room, comfy linens, big pool, accomodating staff, tasty food - we checked out early in the morning and left our luggages in the lobby to watch sunrise at angkor. When we return around 6pm from angkor to freshen up, they gave us a new room to take a shower and rest. Cons: - Petit temple was actually overbooked and we were transferred to Little Prince which is away from Petit Temple. So my review will be for Little Prince. - smelly canal from outside enters the toilet - clogged shower drainage
Highly Recommended, Amazing Stay with a fantastic Service from the Staff in a beautiful Room and environnement. This was a short trip for my Girlfriend birthday and Ana from the hotel arranged everything for us and organised a lovely dinner in our Room Balcony, really romantic and good food. Also we enjoyed a 150min Spa in the hotel, feel really relaxed and satisfied. This is my Second experience in the Petit Temple Spa and will be happy to go there again. Just Book there ... You won't be disappointed.
Refreshing, relaxing and unique”
Our stay at the Petit Temple Suite was absolutely amazing. Of all of the hotels that we have stayed in over the last few weeks, this was the best of them all. The design of the hotel is very unique and interesting. The food was inexpensive and fabulous. All of the staff were extremely friendly. The pool area is very lush with greenery and you feel like you are not in the city. Great value.
Garden boutique hotel with friendly staff”
Stayed two weeks in the hotel in a large room with 2 beds and a terrace. My stay was pleasant. The room didn't have a computer table and chair but used wicker table and chair from the terrace. The hotel is situated on the dirt street surrounded by construction sites and garbage and this is really bad surrounding for any hotel. All prices for food and transport in Siem Reap are in USD which requires bringing stash of dollars with small denomination. There are tuk-tuks in front of hotel which makes the transport easy. The restaurant is open until 10 pm so one can always have a bite. There is small fridge with expensive drinks and a water boiler for a tea. It is safe to walk at night to the river or to the night market despite that there are no street lights. Many good and cheap restaurants are by the night market. Little supermarket and an ATM machine distributing USD are on the street leading to the hotel. Despite that the hotel is old, it is well maintained. The swimming pool surrounded by the banana shrubs with bright green leaves looks exotic and adds to relaxed ambience.
