Be Prepared.”

My husband and I arrived at the same time as another traveler. Both parties paid extra for a private room, and neither of us got a private room. The other traveler seemed satisfied with their accommodations but they tried to put me in a dorm room with another coed group of people and my husband was put in another room. This was not acceptable to me especially there were still beds available in my room. I wasn’t comfortable being in a room with other men and women but not my husband. I had to demand that my husband was with me in order for the staff to move him to my room. They did refund us $10, too bad it was a fake bill. In an effort to not be completely negative, the hostel did have a roof top terrace overlooking the old city, and Temple Mount. STUNNING. You don’t have to stay here to enjoy the view. I believe they charged 11 sheckle for access if not staying at the hostel. Finally, a traveler not caring where you sleep and a dorm is good enough, then you won’t be disappoint

Great location but rooms have no heating”

Cheap and convenient location

I was there Jan 2-4 so it was cold and there is no heating in my room. Portable heaters are available but it wasn't enough. Hot water is supplied in certain periods of the day and water is sometimes not hot enough. Internet is only available in the reception area. However, the hostel is walking distance to all the touristic sites in the old city so it is great in this sense. Ask to stay in the new wing as rooms are cleaner and newer.

They must be kind with customers. they chose ”

help me to print my boarding pass for free.

No body care of the customer and they don't response customers kindly. It is my first time to know the dormitories bedroom. but I like it, because I met people of different types and cultures. and we respect each other and some time we shared ideas, but no one stay as long as me. Their breakfast was poor. they served the breakfast for their culture without think that they have to be international about that. To understand that different cultures come to the hostel. The breakfast is international every where I go, except in Petra hostel? Why? They take out food before 10am. So if you come at 9:50 you don't take your breakfast but they said they served between 8am to 10am. I saw by myself how they clean this room at 9:45 one day. It bed! The customer is the most important and has to be considered as a king. Thanks to take care of my opinion. I said what I lived.

Really a budget hotel in the heart of Old City”

Centrally located, nice view from the roof, easy access to main sightseeing points.

Well, I do not have too much experience with hostels, but staying at Petra was the worst so far. The whole hotel needs renovation. I have seen some pictures on booking.com and they do not correspond to reality. Our room had a door that could be closed only with a key. Bed linen was also quite worn out but smelled as clean. Beds were not comfortable at all. The was hot water in the shower but no pressure. No soap whatsoever. Staff was quite laid-back and I needed to ask several time to get the things I needed. Breakfast was very basic but enough to feel the stomach. I would not recommend this hostel for more than 1 night.

The staff tried to be as accompdating as possible given the government had just taken EVERYTHING from them the day before i arrived. The hotel is in a great location, and affodable

Because everything had been taken the day before I arrived (beds, blankets, heaters), and the cold temperatures in the city, I ended up canceling the second night I had planned to stay. It would have been nice if they warned me upon checking in that there would be no heat in the room. Otherwise, the staff were very friendly and tried to be accommodating.

This is the worst hostel I have ever stayed at!”

The owner of the hostel is the worst person I have ever met. As you check in, the staff does not tell you about the ruels and you dont get a key to the room. I came home after midnight my first day, and the owner cursed and shouted at me, even though no one told me about the ruels at the hostel. Every other hostel I've ever stayed at the staff tell you about the ruels when you check in, or they have the ruels written all over the hostel. I also overheard the owner having an argument twice with some guest where he was really rude and disrespectful. When ever you had a question he was really rude, and did not help at all. I would never recommend this hostel to anyone.... It was THE WORST EVER!

The whole place was filthy, pillows, sheets and cover on the bed were filthy, we bought our own cover, because we were afraid to catch something, and we slept on our cloths all the time. We couldn't sit on the (broken) sofas because something was biting us!!! Overall is an awful place to be inn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
