Very quiet, clean and brilliant location”
I thoroughly enjoyed my week at Pha Thai hotel. It made my first trip to Chiangmai a very memorable one indeed. Indeed, if I ever return to Chiangmai it will be first on my list of options. It is in perfect setting for access to everywhere in the city. Most shops and services required are immediately on the doorstep. Chok dee for Pha Thai!
Beautiful hotel in the old town”
It is a beautiful hotel with great staff and a variety of rooms. Clean, lovely and rather quiet at night. Parking is problematic there because only two cars can park on the property. But it is an issue everywhere in the old town of Chiang Mai. The staff was great! Helpful, friendly, always there when needed.
Clean, comfortable and good location”
Considering this is inside the busy walled area of Chiang Mai it was quiet. The staff were helpful although not always obviously there! We did not try the food and breakfast was not included so I am unsure about this. The room was clean and the A/C was good. Wifi was adequate though sometimes slow. Located in the south west of the walled city and as this is a small area the location seems fine also near to some motorbike hire businesses. Red cab driver found it hard to find.
Very homey and comfortable”
Rooms are clean, air conditioner works well. Water heater had several problems, but the staff are ready to help. There are friendly dogs downstairs, nice for dog lovers. Location is excellent, near seven eleven and walking distance to famous temples and restaurants. Staff are nice and provide info for travelling around Chiang Mai.
Located near to the Chiang Mai gate, but can walk to Wat Chedi Ruan, Sunday Market within 10mins walk. And can come back frm Night Bazaar appox.20mins walk by making only one turn. Staff were friendly and can communicate well in Eng. Atomosphere was so Asian oriental with good old building. We'll love to stay there again.
Great value on special deal”
Well located in the old city. Nice friendly staff. There was building work while we were there hence the great deal but it didn't affect us as we were out and about during the day. Staff were very friendly. Shower wasn't brilliant with the curtain being too short so water everywhere. Pool ok for a quick cool down. Would be good i they put a kettle on the room.
Clean, Serene and Safe ”
Great little family run accomodations with a beautiful garden. We stayed in the garden patio view which was on the main level. We loved the authentic thai home style of this place and was excellent value. Super clean, safe and friendly staff. It's close to all the amenities and not busy and noisy like other parts of the city. If your looking a quiet place that feels like home for a good price then give this place a try!
Clean, centrally located in old town”
This was an excellent hotel at a great price. The location was good for getting to the walking street markets, close enough to the airport with a short tuk tuk or taxi ride, and within the old city. The room was very clean, wifi was easily accessible in the lobby, and it was convenient walking distance to temples and other sights.
Well located, comfortable room ”
Well located for exploring the old town and close to the walking street sunday market. The room was clean and comfortable. A couple of mosquitos in the room that we didn't encounter at other accommodation within Chiang Mai. The property has a few dogs, so probably not one for anyone who doesn't like large dogs! Overall, a pleasant stay and good value for money.
The location is very convenient. Near a night market with great cheap food and 5 min from the huge Saturday night market. The facilities are nice and the typical decor makes you feel relax. The value for money is also very good. The breakfast is good and with reasonable prices. Only drawback is that some staff looks like they don’t want to be in there. Specially the ones in the kitchen (no smiles). Also, there was a bit of a mess in the hall but was probably because of some restoration works on an area. Overall a really nice place to spend in Chiang Mai.
Stayed here twice during my trip to Thailand, and would definitely come back if I've ever in Chiangmai again. Great location in Old City near lots of restaurants & tourist sites. Really lovely helpful staff. Clean & with beautiful decor. The pool (which not many central old city hotels have) was wonderful to come back to after a few hot hours exploring the city. Felt like a little oasis.
The hotel is correct for the price, it has a swimming pool and it's located in the city center. But the best of all is the helpful and English/French speaking staff. Very important if you are not Thai :) and you don't know the town at all.
very nice and quiet in a good position in old town”
We stayed 2 nights. Very nice and quiet room in the old town, you can get around good by walking. Very friendly stuff who speaks good english. We could leave our backpacks there for free as we went to pai for 2 days. Very nice hotel in old town surprisingly quiet. Very good value for the price.
This is a great location in the old city. It's only a couple of blocks from the Sunday night Market. Also there are banks, tour companies, scooter rentals, tailors, food, etc. all around. The pool was great to cool off in and the area surrounding it was nice to relax in. The staff were nice and the place was clean. We stayed for a couple of days then left most of our luggage to scooter to and visit Pai (Which was great and I highly recommend doing!) and came back for another night. The only thing that we did not enjoy was that we are a couple and even though we had requested a double bed BOTH times we booked and were told that's what we were getting....we still had twin beds every time. It was annoying especially the second time because we specifically talked to them about having a double bed before we booked and paid. So...if this would be an issue for you maybe stay somewhere else.
Very nice hotel (typical teck house). Standard room are nice but dark since there is only one window toward the inside of the court (shadow). Pool is very nice but never in the sun and you cannot lay around it. There is four long chairs next to the parking. They first gave me an older room in the separate building at the back of the yard. Did not like the smell so they changed me to a new room. My big problem about this hotel is the dog (and cat) urine smell in the inside court. I saw the big dog urinating on the flower pot at the entrance of the restaurant ! Anyway, I wasn’t already able to go to have breakfast there because of this smell. I am a vet and, to me, this is unaceptable in an hotel of this price and quality. Please, have your dog (and cat) neuteured. There is no doubt the owner (very nice by the way) can afford it.
Hotel= super, location= super, and the Staf was amazing. If i go back to Chiang Mai, i will book this hotel again.
Good and clean hotel. Very helpfull staff. We were kindly received and they gave us a lot of information about the city. They also helped us out with excursions and car rental. We have been in two different rooms because we only booked the first two nights upfront and decided to stay longer the last night. The owner tried to let us stay in thuis room but unfortunatly the room was already booked. Although we firstly had one of the best rooms, the second room was also spacy and clean. We always went out for breakfast and lunch dinner but there are enough placeses nearby where you can eat.
Well Maintained Hotel in Good Location”
The hotel is well placed in a popular tourist area with plenty of nearby eating places and a couple of convenience stores.. It is immaculately maintained with many plants and flowers around a nice courtyard with plenty of chairs and tables where you can eat your own breakfast or drink a beer. Good WiFi. The pool is small, but big enough for a few strokes and makes a pleasant break. It is clean and well maintained. The staff are very friendly and very well trained. They go about their work in a professional manner and especially early in the morning they are quiet and do not disturb the guests. Unfortunately, the cheapest rooms are located under the stairs and lack much natural light. Inside, they are OK, similar layout to more expensive ones. They are clean and serviced every day. No fridge but you get a kettle, but no tea or coffee. This hotel is a quiet oasis away from the hustle of the city, but for a single traveller on a bit of a budget, you can find better value elsewhere.
Top value for money”
A great place to stay from where Chiang Mai can be thoroughly enjoyed
