Everything is good, stayed @next building of Phangan Arena”
I booked 3 nites @double bed esnsuite room. It was big room, clean and have balcony to seaview of Baan Tai Beach. Toilet has basic amenities and you get towel provided in the room.The building is next to main Phangan Arena hostel with apartment style. There is little bar downstair with nice little pool facing to tennis yard. All are perfect. I extended my stay for 1 more night. Staff as well are nice and friendly. Food is good too with normal price. Though some people reviews are not soo good. But, i have good stay and experiences in this hostel.

Stayed for two nights in a mixed dorm. The rooms are modern and clean, and there are lots of showers/toilets around the property. Location is the best, right on the beach and next to the restaurant/bar street. Great value for the money spent!

Perfect for partying on Koh Phangan ”
Great staff and value for money hostel. If you’re looking to party and hostel lifestyle, this place is great. If not, can be a bit loud late at night. Has bar and restaurant on site, good prices and quality of food. Also has a lot of extra facilities you won’t find at other places like fitness equipment, football field, pool good level of English etc. Defiantly one of the best places to stay on the island if you’re visiting for the Full Moon Party.

Great place to meet people ”
Travelled as two friends from Singapore. For hostel standards, the private rooms at Phangan Arena were decent. Our recommendation: lower your expectations and don’t stay for a long time. Expect hard beds, not so clean bathrooms, low water pressure (and periodically no water from the taps or shower), and occasional cockroaches. Also expect not to sleep well during your stay because (a) you’ll always be partying; and (b) if you do try and sleep before 2am and after 1pm, the loud music will keep you up. We felt the reverberations in our chest even through our earphones 😂 All of the downsides of the stay were outweighed by our social experience there. We met amazing, kind and genuine people from all over the world. We had SUCH A FUN TIME. Would 100% recommend this place if you’re looking to meet new people and have a good time at Koh Phangan. If comfort and cleanliness is your priority, consider looking elsewhere nearby and come to Phangan Arena for the parties.

Overall Good”
We arrived at the hostel excited and looking forward to our stay as it was recommended by friends. We had a few hiccups on the first night, which were resolved immediately by the great staff who always put the traveller first. We stayed in green mango which has two nice apartments. We had one of them which had two nice, clean rooms. A kitchen if we wanted to cook and a nice outside area to sit with friends. The boss of the hostel was lovely and helped us massively with the issues occurred on the first night. They have football which me and a couple of friends enjoyed very hard workout in the heat! Overall, we enjoyed our stay in green mango and still used some of the arena facilities which were class! Thanks for accommodating us.

Party hostel ”
For the money you pay it’s a pretty good deal. There’s a lot of people to meet and everything you need is on site. They have food, alcool, a pool and a lot of entertainments. The music is really loud but in the dorm that I was, I was still able to sleep (sounds like when you’re outside of the club). Good vibe for a few nights.

The place is alright. However I had a horrible experience, I had a ferry to catch to at 7am and needed to check out and take my 1000baht deposit but they don’t open until 9am…. If it wasn’t for that nice person who helped me out I would have missed my ferry…

If you stay pool side you're probably sleepless after midnight cause happy hour & DJ supper Woofer Time Every night. I was behind the Woofers,So Bazooka like shake like Earthquake, music 🎵🎶 is more or less good though 😜

Withholding passport unless paying staff 500baht”
The hostel has great facilities (swimming pool, football pitch, badminton, basketball, etc). It’s a good party hostel in a good location. But. When we tried to check out for our 8am ferry (most ferries leave at this time), we saw that reception was closed until 9am. We were not aware that reception only opened until this late and were not told this when we arrived at reception. In any case, we needed to check out and get our passports so we could get our ferry. We asked one of the bar staff whether they could call reception to let us check out. After initially saying she wasn’t able to and didn’t have their number, she said she would phone the team if we paid her 500 baht. After refusing to call them if we didn’t pay her, we gave her money and she called a team member who arrived in less than 5 minuets. So we paid 500 baht, nearly the cost of staying here 4 days, for 10 minutes of a staff members time. Unlike staff at all other hostels/hotels I have been, they had no sympathy or willingness to help us. This kind of opportunistic behaviour, withholding our passports unless we payed them a relatively large amount of money, is unacceptable. It was naive of us to assume this hostel ran the same way as most other large hostels do, particularly with such an emphasis on a 24 hour bar and restaurant. Since this happened, we have seen multiple reviews from people facing the same issue. Clearly there has been little motivation from the hostel to emphasise the limited reception hours and will continue to exploit their customers - backpackers on a tight budget. This appears to be a conscious decision by the hostel not to train their 24 hour staff in the checkout process, as a way to profiteer from customers. In addition, the rooms are also disgusting and we didn’t even have a duvet cover. Music is loud and is supposed to end at 12, but on one night went on until 2.30am. We were not too bothered but can see why others have found this an issue. Some friendly advice
