I loved staying at Phangan Cove. The staff is super friendly, the resort beautiful & shady & the beach by the resort is lovely! It’s a small & very quite bay. I stayed in the fan double room, I had my own little balcony with a hammock & a fridge in the room. The place is very quite at night so it’s perfect if you are looking for a nice spot to chill & rest. The food is also delicious here. I had the red curry, the penang curry & the pad thai: all of those dishes were sooo good! I would definitely come back!

Exceptional”
Amazing location right at the beach. Great food in the restaurant. Super friendly staff than make everything to help. the room was nice - extra plus for the private terasse with my own hammoc. Wifi works well. Bathroom - don't expect western standard or you will be disappointed. I will definitely stay at Phangan Cove again!

Solo”
Phangan Cove is set at the end of a beautiful beach, it has beautiful gardens, swimming pool and great restaurant. I have a big fan room because I don’t like air conditioning and very happy with my choice, the room is very large with sitting area and balcony. You have a small fridge, but no coffee or tea making facilities, and two small bottles of water on your first day. The rooms are cleaned every 2nd/3rd day and with clean linen and towels. Room 22 where I am has sun coming right through the front in in the morning so another choice would be better for a big fan room if available. Taxi cannot come to the Resort, so if you have a lot of luggage you have to pull it from where the taxi drops you off, a fair way to pull , OR get a motor bike taxi they will take you all the way to the back door. 150bht to Thongsala. It’s just a short walk to a Sritanu village. I enjoy it here at this time of year and have stayed a week, it’s so very nice and quiet, but busy season may be different.

Lovely place and staff”
Very convenient location, right on beautiful Sri Thanu beach, and walking distance from lots of restaurants. Loved the rooms (I stayed twice) and the cool feel of the garden. Enjoyed relaxing in the hammock. Really had a very nice stay and will definitely be back.

We stayed for 4 nights at Phangan Cove Resort and were very happy to get an upgrade for a big room. We would recommend the resort but would not go there again if we visited Srithanu again. We liked positive things: + the great location. in 5 walking minutes you are at the Zen Beach and can marvel at beautiful sunsets with many artists and musicians. There are also great restaurants, a Familymart and the like in the immediate vicinity. + The receptionist was very friendly and helped us to print our tickets. + the hammock, the safe in the room and the fridge. We didn't like it so much: - the resort is unfortunately a bit unkind. Plastic flowers, plastic grass and little real green give the whole thing a little uncomfortable flair. - the furniture is a bit worn out. The pool was unfortunately not so clean. The first impression is very high quality but on closer inspection the quality suffers. - we had a small hole in the bathroom through which we got visitors from beetles.

Not worth the money ”
Hotel wasn't worth the money. I notice the prices for rooms go up and down, but at the time of booking I paid the equivalent of £35 p/n for a room with a fan. My bad that I hadn't considered how major the difference between a/c and a fan is - unbearable! The beach there isn't great either. The main issue was my room had a faulty lock, so I spent 45 minutes at one point trying to get out and I had to call the hotel front desk. The guy who came was apologetic, but the manager was pretty blase and I was made to feel as if it was my error that I couldn't open the door rather than a problem with the lock itself. The same thing happened when I needed to leave at 6am for the ferry. Luckily I had taken a no. for the manager because if I hadn't I would have missed the boat. I thought I might get offered a small gesture of good will like a free drink, but no, the manager just laughed about it.

We enjoyed our stay! ”
We loved the staff who seemed to always be available with a smile. Food was great. The AC room was much cleaner than the fan room and had fewer mosquitoes / bugs. Room cleaning could be more thorough. The mosquito net had holes large enough for pigeons to fly through. But the food was delicious, sunsets were gorgeous, and the staff made up for the downfalls here,.

It was OK ”
The room was pretty big, which was nice. Comfortable bed & reasonable shower comparing to other guesthouses. Downsides: we booked through agoda so the room we got was a little remote. There were nets on the windows but for some reason we still got many mosquito bites. Don't forget to get your deposit back - 500 bhat which they didn't remind us about..

Nice place!”
I loved our bungalow, very sweet place also to hang out when it was too hot at noon. Everything close by. The whole place is a bit overcrowded with tacky stuff all mixed together. Nevertheless a very good restaurant and the beach is amazing. Too bad that there is not a lot of water because of the tide. Would certainly come back.

Bugs... lots of them ”
Upon arrival we waited 1 hour before anyone came to even talk to us. We were a little early for check in so we disregarded it. It definitely was far from luxury but it was pretty nice by the looks of it. But it was nothing but problems from the start. The shower never got hot, there’s only one outlet for the tv, cable, and mini fridge.. meaning only one can be used at once.. meaning you can’t actually even watch the tv!! And worst of all it was infested with bed bugs.. we left covered in scabies and had to kill multiple other bugs including centipedes and spiders. This may be a common thing when you’re that close to the beach, I’m not sure. But if you don’t want to leave covered in scabies I would recommend another resort.

Disappointing”
A faceless resort in a great area if one is into yoga and health food. The resort is designed to squeeze money out of tourists by delivering very little. Cheapest Ikea plastic furniture in a barren room. I have not seen any of the staff smile once in these 4 days. A serious management problem there I suspect. Did not have a Thailand feeling at all apart from the weather.

9.7???????????? 5.0!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
First we got a room that really stank. They tried it with a lot of people. Then a room with no airconditioning, bad shower and they did not clean it for 4 days. The spaghetti bolognaise sauce was just conserved tomatos. Also all other food was not good. Their was a small pool that wasn't filled with water but with trash. So i really don't understand how it's got a 9.7 when for us it's a 5.0. The only thing good about it is that it's really cosy (the paths between the rooms and the bar).

Humid room and bathroom not clean ”
We booked the room with tan only and it was very humid. The bathroom was not cleaned before we arrived and we asked staff to clean again and they did. Location was nice, could walk to good places to eat. Will need a motorbike to go to nice beaches. The water from the shower smelled like iron and it was off putting.
