Good hotel, but get the bungalows on the beach”

Well, Phangan villa is good hotel, but... I recommend getting a bungalow on the beach, not near to the looby/restaurant or near to the entrance. If you wanna relax and enjoy a quiet stay, it's not possible because you can hear the guests' noisy motobikes =( The staff is attentive and nice. But in my opinion this isn't a very clean hotel. In 3 nights, my room wasn't cleaned/made, at all!!! About the location, it's not too far from Full moon party's beach (Haad Rin) and it's possible (excluding the motobikes) to enjoy some silence.

Dirty and stinky ”

We had mold in the entire room and it just smelled awful. We asked for a another room but they wanted to charge extra. We stay there for 4 nights and not once did they clean the room. The shower didn't work properly and you could gear the rats partying on the roof. The best thing with Phangan Villa was the location. Close to the pier and between Haad Yao and Had Riin. The bungalows was just a couple meters from the water and to spend the afternoon there was amazing. Very relaxed.

Fan of cockroaches”

We asked for a beach front bungalow, instead we got a normal one. The staff wasn’t particularly friendly, when we wanted to have a coffee in the morning around 8 before check-out, they couldn’t serve us. We had no second towel and toilet paper prepared in the room, we had to ask for them. If you are a friend of cockroaches, this a place worth visiting. At no other places had we met with these beautiful creatures on Ko Phangan. This was the worst place we stayed on the island for relatively much money compared to other, much better equipped bungalows for far less money. The power sockets are life threatening inside the bungalow. The bar on the beach played loud music until early in the morning, so if you want to relax and listen to the waves, find another resort to stay. On the positive side, the beach is nice with tender, white sand, and the sunset we saw was very beautiful. The pier is so close that we went there to catch our ferry on foot. Fortunately we spent only one night here.

Good Place to Relax”

This resort is a short walk from the pier saving you the 100 Baht per person fee if you're up for it. A little hard to spot the turn though (Google Maps puts the resorts in the wrong spots). It's basically the first right after all the shops and a left past the German restaurant Tolzer Hutte (good schnitzel by the way). For the price, the fan room was fine however for some reason the bathroom wasn't cleaned. The restaurant has pretty good food...just stay away from the western fare and be aware that it closes early and there isn't much else around for late night eats. The best feature is the beach which is 30 second walk from the room. They keep it very clean and naps in the hammocks were lovely...and frequent. Only problem was that they feature a picture of a pool that is really the pool belonging to the B52 resort. We didn't try to use it but it seemed possible if one were to buy drinks at the poolside bar.

Prison cell room, appalling food, look elsewhere!”

We are a couple of young backpackers who are not fussy about accomodation but this was not clean at all, the cleaners had just cleaned our room while we waited to check in then walked in and the bathroom was infested with ants, big ones at that. We had to go and buy killer to put down as it was so bad. The room is somewhat like a prison cell, bare grey concrete walls and floor. The beach is unclean and full of rubbish, worst beach in 3 months of travelling Asia. The food is disgusting, I had a Thai meal and my partner had a burger, we both left it. The chocolate shakes are the best thing. Wifi is very hit and miss. The location is not near anything, you have to,walk a good 15 min to nearest restaurant. This place is only good for a 1 night stay on your way off the island.

On the Beach but room wasn’t that great”

Right on a quiet beach which is really nice but our room wasn’t that great. The windows were broken and we had spiders in our bags and round the room. The staff were really nice though and the food was good

Worst Experience ever”

After traveling for the whole day we expected that everything will be in place but we were very dissatisfied. On reaching the hotel the lady said that we will have to wait for 40 minutes since the room was not ready. This she said after making us wait for 1 hour. When we asked her to make it fast she was very rude in replying and said that " people come to stay for more than 3 days and you are coming for only 1 day you will have to wait". Then one guy came and said that our booking was cancelled and showed a mail to us in Thai which we could not understand. The booking site customer care confirmed that we had not cancelled still the hotel guys were very rude in their behaviour but finally they provided us a room after making us wait for more than 2 hours. The rooms were very small and the roofs were infested with termites. No hot shower facility. They do not even offer water. We went to the next door hotel and they gave us water for no charges. The hotel is very far from the pier and probably the last one on the street. This was the worst experience I ever had. The people were conveniently lying so that they could get new customers at higher prices. Please do not visit this hotel. Infact I would suggest the booking sites to remove it from their list as well.

Staffs doubted us to steal their mobile phone even before they hadn't look for it, of course we didn't do it and turned to uncomfortable mood to stay anymore. That was no way to doubt costemer, and finally they found it in their room!

Reservamos habitación con vista al mar pero se veía el mar de lejos si miras de costado. Un engaño!! CAMA súper dura, con colchón horrible. Sin sabana para taparse. No hicieron nuestro cuarto durante la estancia. Sin agua caliente para el Baño, no funcionaba el calentador!
