Off the Beaten Track”

Phayam is filled with little villas off the beaten track. This one is, it is not right on the beach, you have to walk a ways. You need a motorcycle or call a ride to get anywhere on the island. The place was nice though, quiet and the staff was very helpful. Breakfast was good as well.

Lovely bungalow”

Lovely bungalow, friendly helpful staff, huge breakfasts! Receptionist uses google translate if needed, so not really a problem if she doesn’t understand what you’re saying, and after all we’re in Thailand and I only speak 2 words of Thai! Location is quiet, there is a beach bar about 10 min walk away called gypsy bar and a couple of other bungalows nearby that were nearly always empty in the bars. Head back up the road towards the pier or long beach for a couple of other places to eat/drink. Reception and the bar was closed by about 6.30 every evening so if you want a taxi or to rent a bike etc be sure to go before 6/6.30.
