Brand new, great location”
Brand new huts Loved the location, small community of little bars and restaurants which were quieter but still had some atmosphere, great for a few drinks and a bit to eat. In contrast to Phi Phi main town/port which is hideous, loud and busy. But if you want a late night party, this isn't the place for you. There are 2 beaches in walking distance, one is attached to a hotel, but we still used it and the restaurant there for lunch. Only downside to the location is that the main town is a £32 round trip Longtail boat ride away(for the whole boat), so you are pretty much stuck there. The hotel runs a free long tail boat that comes back at 15.00, so you can see the main port if you wanted to. Boat trips are a lot more expensive on Phi Phi than other places in Thailand. £36 for half a day with lunch, compared to £9 on Railay for the same. The Breakfast was nothing to write home about. The pool is rubbish, just a plastic tub, but with the beautiful beaches you don't need a pool.

Quiet side of the island ”
We cut our stay by a week prematurely. We weren't working this side of the island properly. The Ba Kao Bay Resort is not on the beach. It is a healthy walk. While the beach during high tide is swimable, the sunsets are amazing. There are scooter taxis or if you like to hike, there are limestone formations to scale and other beaches to explore. Get to know the water taxis. Nui beach is my favourite! Take a small group long tail boat snorkeling tour! While there's plenty of restaurants and shopping all within walking distance, PhiPhi Village is not party central. Take a boat taxi for that. The Ba Kao Bay Resort offers two free trips per day. Yes. I'd come back!

Only issue was location”
Although many reviewers are praising the location for it being out of the busy area, our group found it to be a hassle. It cost 2,500 THB to get a return trip from the hotel's location to the main area of Tonsai Pier. Tonsai had many restaurants and bars and for us as 18 year olds we wanted to visit Tonsai often for clubs and bars, but having to take a half hour taxi boat ride was difficult. The area which the resort is in was slightly disappointing for food - there were a few bars and restaurants but the two restaurants we went to had disgusting food. The beach was beautiful though and very peaceful, perfect for a relaxing time away. These location issues are nothing on the resort though - we should have done our research. We did not realise that to travel within Phi Phi Don you needed to catch taxi boats everywhere. The resort is absolutely lovely and the staff were incredibly helpful. There was also a free taxi boat provided by the resort for us on our check out day which was great

Amazing hotel”
We read quite a few bad rewievs before choosing this hotel and we were not sure what to expect but it was very very good in the end! We loved it so much! Small houses makes you feel like a local even thou they are clean and very well designed! Would definatelly reccommend! The location is out of the busy area and it was soo good! There are free shuttle boats twice a day taking you to the main pier! It wasnt cheap conpared to other hotels we staid at but Phi Phi island is not cheap in general. We staid here off season so ir was cheaper! We paid £20 a night for double room :)

superb holiday in phi phi island”
Superb. We were fetched from the phi phi pier with hotel's longboat to hotel via 15 min amazing journey. Then we were brought to hotel with tuk tuk. The hotel's staffs are veryhelpful & friendly. If u plan to go to pier there are 2 shifts of the longboat, 8 am and 11.30 am but u must come back at 3.30pm. If u are muslim there is a mosque nearby. For gastro purpose I suggest u to go to Mint Restaurant about 5 min walk from the hotel especially for muslim in view they don't serve liquor and the foods are yummy.. I suggest the hotel needs to add hot water boiler for each room so we don't have to go out in the middle of the night for hot water. I would love to come back and stay here..

Quieter Side of Ko Phi Phi”
Breakfast is good, staff is helpful for giving directions and arranging tours, and the hotel provides free long tail boat transfer from Ton Sai to a nearby beach. The hotel is located in a less busy part of Ko Phi Phi, though there is still noise from nearby bars at night.

Very good”
Realy nice and quiet place to relax your self from the busy phi phi town. The beach is 100 meters away ( roughly) and there are a few markets and some bohemian restaurants in less than 5 min (walking) away.

Best quality-price ratio on phi phi Island and one of the last quiet spots to enjoy the beauty of PP”
Within a 3 minutes walk there is a paradise beach like on all the postcards. Unfortunately 80% of it are owned by the 5star phi phi Island village Resort. With some luck you can use their sun beds under the nice palms. If not there is still enough beautiful beach to relax and watch the astonishing view of paradise. Further more there is also a nice living coral reef. If u don't like this beach there is also a bigger and wilder one just on the opposite bay of the island. You can reach it in a 15 minute walk. If u like the real wild beach you can climb in 30 minutes to Nui Bay. But beware of the times of the tourist boats. Chose this bungalow Resort for good little bungalows and an average breakfast. It's one of the last quiet places with access to the most beautiful beaches on earth. If u don't need a package holiday and these ugly parties like on other places of the island then this is the right place. It's right inside of the beauty of nature and also located in a local village with many good restaurants.

Relax at this little hidden gem”
Great location. Easy pick up at the pier. Short longtail boat trip is very scenic. Go on the high tide as it is an easy pick up off the beach. On low tides you may need to walk a while through shallow water with your bags. Motorcycle pickup which is a cool little ride to the resort which backs onto the village bars and restaurants. Upmarket hotels and restaurants are also a few minutes walk away along the beach. Wishing we stayed longer as 2 nights went too quickly. Quiet and relaxing but still lively enough at night. We hired a longboat during the day for 4 hours snorkelling around the islands and beaches. About 1800 baht. It is worth paying a little more for the newer cabins. Nice and spacious. In summary, highly recommended.

Very nice place”
Everything here was good and well kept. It took a little while to find it at first, but once we got some help it wasn't too bad and we didn't have trouble finding it again after that first time. The beach isn't too far away and is very nice. The people working there didn't have the best English, but it wasn't a problem and they were very friendly. We only stayed for one night before moving on to Koh Lanta, which was even better, but we had a nice time while we were here.

Not good”
The hotel is located in a "holiday hamlet" with a few each of hotels, restaurants, bars, day trip organizers and minimarkets. Getting away from there, eg to the island's main city, requires taking a boat and there's just two a day. The beach is nice, no beach bar or chairs etc, it's 5-10 min walking from the hotel. The rooms (which are individual bungalows) are small and with no attempt at charm, though clean. The bathroom is another matter: it is industrial, yet not functional. No window and no ventilating mean it smells accordingly. Breakfast is a buffet of cold fried eggs, non-edible fried noodles (my partner found them ok), a sausage-esk item, fresh fruit, toast, nice coffee and juice. The staff speaks limited English and isnot exactly on a charm offensive. In short, the hotel would be fine for 20 USD, since it costs trippel that price, I expect more. In the hotel's defense - steep prices for not too much value are common in all of Phi Phi.

Don't. Just don't. ”
It's on the other side of phi Phi. The hotel offers a boat to take you where all the action is but they only run twice a day. And!!!! You have about a 10 minute walk get to the water To get on and off the boat. The water in the shower hardly got hot. Water pressure not so good. The pool was green and cloudy. Terrible looking. A couple local restaurants but more expensive than those in the heart of phi phi. Breakfast is additional at the hotel. Totally not worth it! Also, someone nearby is Muslin and has some kind of speaker system hooked up so that their prayers are blasted loud and clear. The 5:30am was awful. Woke us up. I wouldn't stay here again and strongly recommend that you don't either.

Located right between a loud bar and a consruction”
Noisy. The bright side: the construction will eventually be finished. All cottages are nicely aligned in a row and are brand new with all amenities necessary, and kept very clean. The bar will stay, and the location just behind the gigantic beachfront resort and adjunct to the “nightlife” will not change. It is a pity because the people running this place are simply wonderful.

Nice resort in the chill part of phi phi”
We really enjoyed our stay here. Started with the welcome at the pier, the nut shell ride to the back beach and the moped transfer to our bungalow. Really nice stay especially because of the beach to the front side. Mainly owned and run by the other resort, it is one of the most beautiful beaches we've seen in Thailand. Quite and nice - if you want it, come here

Nice hotel ,friendly staff, nice big room,I can't believe the minority of negative reviews I read ”
Huge room, clean , would have been nice if the TV worked properly but I'm not on holiday to watch TV .There was a kettle in the room but no tea bags or coffee, pity but I could have asked at the reception. This part of the island is much better than the main part of the island where you arrive m
