Sisters trip at the beautiful phi phi hotel”
My sister and I spent 4 nights at the phi phi hotel in January. We are both around 30 years old and first time to phi phi. We had a fabulous stay and the hotel is very nice. We stayed on the 5th floor and had a beautiful view of the ocean and beach. There is no elevator so it's a lot of stairs but we don't mind the exercise. Our room was very clean. The location to the ferry was amazing as it's a 1 min walk. Everything within walking distance that you need from hotel. However, the location to all the beach bars was about a 10 min walk. So depending what you are looking for it's a little far and dark walk home at the end of the night. After a few buckets it feels like a ways away. This did however make for quiet nights sleeps as you weren't near the noise on the beach. I would say the one thing that could have been better is he pool. It's very small and in the shade a lot. Not many lounge chairs. The resorts on the beach all had infinity pools with lots of lounging chairs. We spent the days tanning on he beach instead and never used the pool. Also room doesn't have an iron. Overall we had an amazing stay and would definitely stay again. Phi phi was our favourite island that we visited in all of Thailand. Hope our review helps :)
Central location”
we spent a few days on phi phi. we sandwiched it between stays on quieter tranquil settings. the village on phi phi is not tranquil! and that's exactly what we wanted. the hotel options near the main village are pretty poor and i read a lot of negative reviews before booking. we were very happy with phi phi hotel. it was better than expected. clean, comfortable, decent a/c. super short walk from arrival/departure pier, which is key if you are carrying luggage. great view from the top floors! we took advice from this site and booked a top floor (5th) sea view room. not only was the view great but once we closed the door and turned on the a/c, we didn't even hear the bars and clubs down below, which are loud. you have to carry your luggage up five flights of stairs but we were ok with that. the breakfast was pretty good. typical of hotels in the region, offering fresh fruit, western options and asian options. i read some negative review of the staff and reception desk. we didn't encounter that at all. everyone was really nice. we didn't ask them to book any transfers or activities for us, so i'm not sure how well that works but they handled the check in/check out just fine.
Super friendly small hotel in perfect location”
The Phi Phi Hotel is easily spotted when arriving on a ferry at Phi Island and just a few steps away when coming off the boat. The – the hotel is well prepared for the arrival of ferries from Phuket or Krabi which all arrive around 1030 allowing an early check-in if rooms are ready or providing storage for luggage so early arrivals can get to one of the many nearby cafes. The welcome from staff is very friendly. The hotel has reliable wifi in the lobby and a good buffet breakfast selection. Rooms are clean and well equipped with free tea and coffee making , good TV service with plenty of sport, films and news, comfortable beds and hot showers. Phi Phi has no roads or cars and everything the holiday-maker needs is a short walk from the hotel. Room rates are low and offer excellent value for money. Check out is at 1100 but luggage storage is available until ferries depart around 2.00 p.m.
Beautiful Phi Phi”
Phi Phi is a beautiful island and if you want a hotel close to the action and within stumbling distsnce from the pier Phi Phi hotel is the place to go. Upon my second visit to Phi Phi and indeed my second stay in the Phi Phi hotel I was not disappointed. Clean, spacious rooms, friendly staff and magnificent views. If I was to be really picky I would say don't bother paying for a sea view unless you are on one of the higher floors - we could only see the building in front and views from the corridor were better! - plus breakfast is nothing amazing, but you can always skip it for a lie in instead! Generally great rooms in a great location in the middle of paradise.
Happy Hotel”
Costing only a bit more than some "budget" hotels--and far less than others--the Phi Phi Hotel delivered the comforts of home. From check-in to out, every staff member went out of his/her way to give eye contact, smile and make us feel welcome. Other reviews have mentioned the lack of a lift, but we enjoyed the short hike up to our room. A bit of hall noise seeps through along with the festive revelry of Phi Phi's night life, but this is, of course, a party island. The buffet breakfast had terrific garden and fruit salads. Most of the other choices were too greasy for my taste. Nice omelette stand. Our daughter loved the pool. We have visited Phi Phi many times over the years, previously choosing backpacker-style accommodations, which cost almost the same as this hotel. The Phi Phi Hotel is a much better deal!
Fantastic central location. Comfortable room.”
Arriving by ferry, the Phi Phi hotel is hard to miss. It is easily the biggest building on Koh Phi Phi and as such has views across the entire island. The room we had overlooked the (much prettier) North Beach and opening the blinds each morning was a genuine treat. The staff at the hotel were always very courteous and quick to answer any questions/fix any problems. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The buffet breakfast was fairly standard, but it was tasty and everything seemed fresh.
Great to go back to phi phi”
Have previously been to phi phi and a friend stayed at this hotel so we decided to stay there this time as we wanted a hotel that was very convenient to get to and this could not be more convenient literally 3 minutes walk from the pier excellent. It is quite dated now compared to many of the other hotels that have developed on phi phi and would benefit from some renovation and updating. We were only able to get a twin room having booked last minute but it was perfectly adequate for our needs, bathroom was small but shower was hot and powerful always welcome after a day on the beach.Breakfast was included and consisted of a good range of cereals, fruit, Thai options , pancakes, toast, beans, bacon ,juices, tea, coffee etc..and an egg station with eggs cooked any way you like them. Staff were all excellent ,we had a dew problems in the room with the safe and patio doors and a light but they responded quickly and tried to get things fixed ASAP.We had a room at the back overlooking the bay with a view to die for but be warned you will hear the boom boom boom music from the bars along the beach especially Slinkys until about 3am so go prepared to either stay up partying and or have very good ear plugs. The hotel also has a small pool but it is a bit overlooked and is very small with a few sun beds which do need replacing as they are quite old. However it is literally a couple of minutes walk to the beach so who needs to be but the pool anyway. It was handy on our last day as our ferry was late pm and you have to check out at 11 am so we were able to have a shower down under the poolside showers when we got back from the beach before getting on our ferry .The hotel also provide guests with a fresh beach towel each day that you sign out and must have back by 8pm but it's really handy not to have to use your own or vary a beach towel at all. The Hotel is so convenient for everything on phi phi ,restaurants, bars, shops, beach, dive companies, ferry etc..
Phi Phi Hotel is second to none on Phi Phi Don”
The Phi Phi Hotel was absolutely wonderful! Great location and a spectacular room! The staff was very helpful and accommodating. We arrived to the room (top floor, front corner) and was greeted with a "honeymoon suite." There were flower petals all over the room and on the bed was kissing swans made from towels. The room had one huge balcony overlooking the beautiful bay and Tonsai pier then a smaller balcony on the adjacent side of the room. There was a fruit plate with artistically carved pineapple and watermelon in the refrigerator. The breakfast was good but nothing to get excited about. The pool was very nice and relaxing. I am extremely satisfied with this hotel and would stay again.
Nice hotel, great location, excellent staff!”
I booked this as I was visiting some friends who were travelling and seen as Thailand hotels are usually dirt cheap I usually spend a bit more for something nicer, hence booking here with a sea view room. I read reviews first and it was mostly positive so gave it a go. First of all the location is great. You can see it as you step off the boat, and it is close by to anything you would need on central Phi Phi. The beach is less than 5 minutes walk away in any direction. The reception area was huge and the staff were great, very helpful and good English. The room itself was pretty good, very big in size, but the sea view was only just there, 90% of the view was horrible roof tops of buildings next door. Not a problem though. The room itself was a little dated and could have done with some renovation, there was some dry rot on one of the walls which wasn't too nice to look at, but overall it was clean and comfortable, nothing really to complain about. Only one complaint if any (and not really the hotels fault) but it was fairly noisy in and around the corridors outside the room. I heard a door slam shut about once every minute or so as people came in and out of their rooms. I am quite sensitive to noise though so maybe this would not be a problem for most 'normal' people haha. Anyway, the room was mostly for sleeping in at night so not a major issue. Oh, only one other thing is that I was notified on check-in that I was not allowed to bring guests back after 8pm. Overall a nice hotel, and MUCH bigger and more comfortable than the one my friends were staying in for a similar price (about 3 x the size). I would stay here again and I would recommend to others!
Good location ”
Phi phi hotel is close to Pier , only a few minutes walking distance. That’s why I pick up this hotel. If you stay in a hotel far away , you should ask people to help you to move your luggage, or take long tail boat to bring you there. There are no cars in the Island and you can’t cross the land from one side to the other side due to mountain barrier. The Island itself is very beautiful , you can spend half day to walk around beach. Or you can take long tail boat 20 minuets to Phi Phi Leh , another beautiful Island, it cost 1500 Thailand Money for 4 hours. If you are a good swimmer or no afraid of water , I suggest you go there.
Great Value!”
Koh Phi Phi is a place everyone should visit once in their life. Phi Phi hotel is the most western standard accommodation on the island from what we could see. It is conveniently located near the pier, beaches and restaurants. It is located away from the nightlife which is good if you have an early morning and/or traveling w family. Nice communal areas to sit and lounge and have some drinks with friends. Very relaxed atmosphere.
What a great location!”
As we arrived on the ferry into Koh Phi Phi we could see our hotel, it was so close to the pier, about a 2 minute walk. The hotel reception was clean and big, checking into reception was hassle free. The bellman carried my bag up 2 flights of stairs which I was extremely happy about! Our room had everything we could possibly need for a weeks holiday, air con, TV, balcony overlooking Tonsai Bay - the most perfect view.
Convenient”
It is the first hotel you see on Koh Phi Phi Don coming on a boat. Less than one minute outside the pier. Really busy hotel but very organised, the rooms are religiously given at 2pm and need to be vacated at 11am, but you can leave your bags in the lobby area (there are always loads of bags). The breakfast was very nice. The staff does not master the English language extremely well, but they are friendly and this is what matters. I would definitely recommend it as an alternative to Cabana and all the other more expensive hotels.
Central hotel with good views”
We asked for a high floor and were placed on the top (5th floor), we were happy with this (the views were great) but the hotel doesn't have a lift so something to have in mind. The buffet breakfast was extensive - excellent omelettes and banana muffins! Phi Phi is a noisy island at night and we weren't disturbed by any external noise. However we were placed in a room with an adjoining door and the neighbours were quite loud at times. The Phi Phi Hotel is the third place I have stayed on the island, and it's the only one I would return to.
Expensive but great view.”
I read a lot of review on Agoda before booking the Phi-Phi hotel. It seemed that it was very expensive to get a hotel that had good reviews! The Phi-Phi hotel is a lot more expensive than a hotel that I'd normally book (especially as I was alone) but it seemed to tick all the boxes. It is very close to the pier and you can see it from the water as you are getting the ferry into the pier. It is close to all the shops and restaurants but is actually very quiet. The pool looked lovely, but I didn't actually use it. You are close to the 2 main beaches and can walk to Long Beach in about 40 minutes (or get a longtail boat from the pier). The room was clean, the shower worked well and the view from the balcony was just lovely- that was what made the money worth it. I think a lot of hotels on Phi-Phi are overpriced compared to what you would pay elsewhere, but that is the nature of Phi-Phi. I wouldn't have been as happy to pay the price and have a room on a lower floor. The breakfast wasn't particulary exciting but was fine. You can get fresh towels daily for use by the pool or beach.
Very Good hotel for Phi Phi Island”
I like very much my stay at Phi Phi hotel. First of all the location is very good , close to the pier and very central. The hotel is the only hotel in Phi Phi that is more that 2 floor high so you have a very good view of all the Island. I had a mountain view room which was very good and also has a view to the sea from both directions. The hotel is new and decorated very nice. The air-condition is working fine. I thing this hotel is one of the best hotel in Phi Phi Island.
Good Hotel for Everyone”
my husband and i went there for honeymoon trip. i would say this hotel is very good and perfect for the location (1 minute from the pier), a nice room (with all suppliers although there is no bath tub in the bathroom), and very good service (we were at phi phi island at the first time and they gave a lot of information to us). the hotel is very convenient and perfect for all kinds of people; friends, family and lovers. only one thing that might not be convenient for others (but it did not bother us) was that this hotel does not have any evalator. there are 5 stories. we stayed at the 4th floor. we are okay for that but it might be a little inconvenient for the seniors or older people.
Spacious, well located and highly recommended ”
We stayed in the Phi Phi Hotel as a group of 5 friends for just two nights of sun, food, shopping and night life. The hotel was simply great! On an island populated with overpriced accommodation the Phi Phi Hotel had me breathing a sigh of relief when I arrived as it had everything we needed and more. Our stay included complimentary buffet breakfast which was varied and fresh! We had two spacious rooms next door to each other with stunning ocean views and balconies. The location was right in the middle of town, not a one minute walk to either beach, any restaurant or shop however it was surprisingly private and tranquil (i could hear far off music from the balcony in the evenings, but liked it). it also came with a pool which is always a bonus as we could shower and cool down straight after shopping or the beach before starting the hike upstairs. Pool towels are supplied also which we could also take to the beach and changed over daily. The few downsides I can think of Is the walk upstairs to our room however I've become accustomed to a lack of elevators in most Thai hotels and also the beds were quite firm so dependant on your preference.
Excellent service unparalleled staff”
As I walked up the stairs to the front desk, the front desk clerk knew my name and seemed almost telepthic. I was so impressed she could remember my name throughout my stay at the hotel. The staff provided service unmatched to any hotels i've stayed at before. I was so impressed. The views from the seaview room were so beautiful and awe-inspiring. Truly a spiritual experience from the land of smiles. I will only stay at this hotel next time I visit koh phi phi.
Front desk staff are the best”
I have stayed at Phi Phi Hotel and PP Cassita. Two different properties managed by the same company. First and foremost the number one thing is the front desk and service guys. They take of everything. The property is clean rooms are clean, air conditioning is cold water pressure is good. Properties are safe and everything you need is a few steps away. Phi Phi hotel is a two minute walk to MacDonald's and the pier. But again, the front desk staff and service guys are amazing.
