Good stay, great location”
My husband and I stayed for 2 nights. At first, we were taken to a room with a broken door, but the owner fixed it that afternoon. The room was clean, hot water showers, clean sheets, well functioning AC. The room is very basic, but is good for a budget accommodation on phi phi. The best part about this place is the location. There are actually two phi phi October houses- one really close to the pier (where we stayed) and one farther from the pier. Our location was great, and it was quiet at night, which was a plus. Most of the partying happens on the other side of the beach so we couldn't hear it. Overall we had a pleasant stay and would stay here again.

delightful 7 night stay”
We had booked a fan room for 7 nights and to our delight were placed in a large room with air con, a double bed and a single. October house was perfect for us. Difficult to find value for money on phi phi with most of the budget accommodation seeing to have issues with insects. This is not a problem with October house. Very close to the two main beaches on the island. Very easy to get to from pier (about two mins walk)

Not so good”
After 3 nights staying in a good hostel in phuket phi phi october house didn satisfy me. First of all this hostel location has change and didn't inform. Second Staffs are neither professional nor helpful. Toilet is very small. When I had arrived they were cleaning the bed that time. No tour facilities from hostel. only what you can do that travel full day and come back to hostel at night. Not good for family n couples

Great location”
The hotel is cheap and what i get is beyond my expectation. The location is nearby Phi Phi harbor so we don't have to walk very far with our luggage. The room is large for us (i was traveling with 3 adult men) but i think the hotel should improve its cleanliness. The room quite dusty.

Basic Hotel, Good for Money”
cheap hotel. the room was very basic but clean with good facilities (refrigerator, water heater, TV, triple bed, large room) I recommend this hotel for the budget traveler. you need to know that everything in Phi Phi is overprice, this hotel is very basic but clean, that'd okay because I spend most of my time outside the hotel for water sport and party! the location is great also, only 3 minutes walk from the pier, near to everywhere but quite enough for sleep.

Good location”
The value for money is okay since everything is more expensive in Koh Phi Phi. The location is really good (3 minutes walk to the pier). The beds are comfortable and you have a bathroom in your dorm. You get a blanket and a towel. Unfortunately the staff can't speak english.

room in the center of town”
basic room situated in the center of town. 2 minutes walk from the pier. The room is big and comes with a fridge and 2 free bottles of water. It's very basic but very well situated and cheap for koh phi phi so it's worth it. It's far enough to the animation to sleep at night but close enough to enjoy the night life. Staff is nice.

Nothing special at all”
The first day was a real nightmare. There is no 24 hour reception, thus we only saw the staff twice, once when checking in and once asking for water in the room to take a shower. The wifi is pretty slow for most of the time. I woke up in the first night with a cockroach climbing my legs, the second day a massive one ran through the window (the hostel is close to a deposit or garbage disposal place that smells quite bad whenever you go downstairs to get to the street) and some people next door were drunk and shouting at night (though you will figure out it is quite common around Koh Phi Phi). On the other hand, the value is good for Koh Phi Phi, there is a TV, two beds inside the room (a double and a single) and it is really close to the beach, main restaurants and pier. I would not stay there again because of the cleaniness of the place overall, but the last 2 days we have stayed at PP October were quite ok.

Quiet location with large room”
Quiet location with large room, large beds too. Steep stairs to the rooms though. Close to the pier so not too far to walk. 10min walk to the action either side of the island. Overall not impressed with Phi Phi - beaches were very very dirty with rubbish, yet everyone had to pay a clean-up tax of 20baht on arrival!!

Easy walk from Pier no frills place”
Very close to pier, and on the 'quiet' side of Phi Phi. 10 minute walk to the party beach side. Basic place for backpackers. We paid 450 baht in low season (July) for a fan room. Not a place for families, but room was fairly clean. Staff doesn't speak much English, but tried to help.

Function and not atmosphere”
This was a strange hotel. The management seemed to move somewhere else and nobody was interested in whether we stay there or not. I even got a feeling that we might have stayed for another few days and nobody would notice :) Pros: big spacious room, AC, hot water (f you need it in Koh Phi Phi), ok location, safebox, fridge. Cons: old and rackety, no atmosphere, 4 windows and all into the other walls around, AC outside unit mounted right next to one of the windows and produces a loud helicopter sound every 10 minutes for about 4 minutes. Would not stay there again, just booked it cos it was New Year and I didn't have much time to research on the web.

I have been to Phi-Phi a few times. It must be said that good accomodation on the island is extremely rare and expensive. October House is a backpacker hotel. The rooms were fairly large and the A/C worked well. Basically a backpacker room with an A/C. Not great not bad

A cheap hotel for Phi Phi”
Was one of the cheapest hotels in Phi Phi and less than a 2 minute walk to the ferry peer. The room was clean and the shower had hot water. The room does get very warm at night

Ok for one night ”
Good for one night sleep over and do the afternoon 4 islands trip. Near to ferry pier. On arrival make sure you have a map as there are two October properties and locals may point you to the wrong one. We ended up very hot and stressed trying to find it even though we had walked past it ten times. Not very clearly signed Head for lemongrass restaurant it is next door Food in there lovely and reasonably priced (we found phi phi expensive compared to the rest of Thailand) You can still connect to "lemongrass" wifi once back at the hotel the code is: THAIFOOD Big room, fan, safe, big beds- very very hot in the room even with the fan on. Reception (it's just a desk downstairs in the shop) staff were very nice they let us leave our bags there after check out as our ferry wasn't until late afternoon.

cute place and friendly people”
The hotel was in a great location, in the middle of the shopping area, but kind of tucked away in this little house on stilts so it was nice and quiet. The bay was about a 2-min walk and there were plenty of restaurants and a convenience store near us. The amenities were basic, but we had everything that we needed (wi-fi, hot water, mini fridge) for our stay. I would definitely stay here again.

Good location managing needs improvement”
Water could be provided as it is generally a standard elsewhere. The room was not cleaned on day 2 and no clean towels or soap provided. I would suggest the use of air-conditioner as it was very hot at night. Communication between myself and management would probably have made provision for my expectations to be fulfilled. I would probably go back if I were to return to Phi Phi.

The room is old and basic, yet clean and neat. The biggest cons of this place is that it has no window,and the fan is a wall fan(instead of a ceiling fan). Thus it can get abit warm even at night. Would not stay again,because for MYR 50, I believe you can find a better or cheaper place to stay on Phi Phi. We saw a few places offering room to rent for 300 Baht only

Large room but minimal service”
phi phi october house was largely like a crash pad. it is close to the pier but then nothing is particularly far from it on the island. the room was really large with a double bed and a single one with the double bed not being particularly comfortable. the place was in the process of moving so there was no one to actually call if you needed anything.
