Spectacular views, friendly staff
Probably best resort, 25 minutes walk from "town", friendly staff, little bungalows in the hillside directly by the white sandy beach. Spectacular views from the rooms, minibar is free and refilled daily basis. Can only recommend it.

best hotel
It's about 20-30minutes walk from the "town" for bars and clubs. However, the beautiful little bungalows are all in the hillside, right next to a quite beach with white sand. The hotel has it's own little bar and restaurant on the coast, 2x free transfer from the pier and to the main pier. Minibar is free and refilled on a daily basis etc. I can only speak positively of this resort!

A bit of helpful background for context. I'm a 5 star hotel traveler. Typical suites are $300+ is where I tend to stay. For this trip there were very limited choices on the island. This was supposedly one of the better ones that was close to the pier. Very important point if you want to get back and forth easily as access is very limited by taxi boat and can be quite time consuming and frustrating to ride/request. The resort shares a beach front with a few others and is fairly quite. A few longtail boats going back and forth, but not an issue. The resort itself is barebones as is the room. All bungalows are perched on stilts and climbing stairs is the norm. Views are nice. Try and get a bungalow closer towards the center of the resort. Don't expect anything special from resort staff. Breakfast buffet is marginal, but not much you can do as no other option. Dinner menu is a lot better with more variety. But quality is ok. Overall, it's priced fairly for what's provided. Quick and easy access to Koh Phi Phi Leh, which was the primary reason for coming. The resort was just a "layover". We were more than happy to head back to Phuket and checkin to our suite at Le Meridien

Nice hotel by the beach
Very nice located and offering free boat transportation to and from the main village (and pier). The room was very nice and clean, and the view was beautiful from the balcony. There is like a private beach spot with chair and towel from the hotel. The service was good overall.

Fantastic view, ample individual rooms/guesthouses, friendly, good service
Located on a very beautiful beach, individual, ample rooms/guesthouses, fantastic views, friendly and effective service, very reasonable prices. For swimming, avoid the beaches with hotels, because of the oil of the taxi boats. Still, a taste of paradise.

Great honeymoon location
This was our second stay. The location is fantistic and secluded with a beautiful beach out the front an a 2nd beach at the back of the resort. The tours are well worth it and not expensive. Beautiful view even with a partial sea view room. Will stay again if go back to Thailand. One of our favourite places and resort.

Staff won't do anything for you
The staff isn't helpful at all. We asked for boats on mornings that we really needed them and staff refused to help us on that. They also promised me to send me a van on my last day as I had to carry the suitcase (as the bungalows aren't close at all from reception and the way up is really steep) and get my breakfast ready to take away and they didn't. So I spent 10 minutes (which I needed because i was flying that morning) waiting for a van that never came. When I told them about the breakfast, they said that no one noted it down and that the most they could do was to give me a box to fill in myself with the little they already prepared for breakfast as it was early. I lost time again, they don't give a damn about their guests because they know people will keep going there. Really disappointing when you pay such an amount of money.

Lovely resort but Staff is Very unhappy
Resort is lovely, beautiful views tidy rooms. Breakfast is pretty touristy and hectic. Concierge is helpful. My main issue is no one is ever happy nor do they ever smile or try to be helpful. We had no specific complaints, but if you are looking for warm and friendly service - it's simply not here. Takes away from the experience in my opinion. Very very touristy atmosphere.

We booked the wrong hotel I guess
We were picked up at the pier, that was really good! They brought us to the hotel by longtailboat, pretty fun. Our villa was on top of the mountain. The view was great! But the walk down was to steep. We are a couple, middle twenties, for us it was ok to walk down but older people can not! It was great that they brought us to the room every time we arrived back at the hotel. When you want to go to the centre of Phi Phi you have two options: 1. taking a taxi boat, 100 baht each person by daytime, 150 baht each person by nighttime. Or taking a walk, probably I should say; taking a hike. The hike to the centre is about 35-40 minutes, straight to something jungle-ish. Really fun! We decided that it was better for us that when we come back to Phi Phi we stay just in the city centre! When you want relaxing, A GREAT VIEW out of your room!! and not much people around you, this place is great. For us it was a pitty. We thought we payed too much for this place and it was just not what we were looking for. My own fault I guess. The room was also not that clean, many insects in the room. It took me 30 minutes every night to get them all away before sleeping.
