Second time in this hotel”
We spent New Year period in this hotel in the second time. I like location of this hotel (not so far from the pier and enought close to the beach) and very friendly and helpful management. There is a swimming pool and it helps in low tide period. But this year we stayed in garden view room. It is not so cozy compared with sea view room with bad sound insulation.
Nice Infinity Pool”
Pro : Friendly reception, upgraded Seaview room. Spacious room, infinity pool with nice beach view. 1 mins walk away from from beach parties, spoil of choice. Cons : Quite a walk from center, about 15 mins and uphill climb to room, not for those with weak legs. Dated furniture and old generation TV but these are not priorities for island holiday. Expect loud music from nearby beach party, especially those located lower ground. Overall : Value for money, a good choice for party youngsters.
Beautiful and comfortable hotel”
We spent New Year on Phi-Phi and stayed at this hotel. It's nice place: great view, beautiful area around bungalows, it's not so far from the center and just 5 mins walk to the beach but it's calm (we didn't hear music and noise party from the beach side)!
The pool is lovely”
The rooms are outdated and overpriced. The furniture is old, I couldn't find any safe in the room. The bathroom is really bad, moldy and the sink is incredibly small. You can only wash your hands. If you book just for the pool then you will be happy. Location is good. 5-10 min to the beach. Staff is nice.
Basic rooms - fantastic pool!”
Firstly let’s start with the rooms. Don’t expect luxury if you plan on staying here. The rooms are very basic with worn/old fashioned decoration. There are small gaps in the wall meaning you may get lizards or centipede’s in your room at night. The shower is built into the toilet so it is more of a wet room than a bathroom. There is a 90’s style TV in the room which had bad reception and only picks up Thai channels. All this aside they rooms were maintained each day. You were given fresh towels/water and everything was kept clean. The main attraction of this resort is the pool and it doesn’t disappoint. The views are beautiful and the pool area is nicely kept. It looks over the beach and the sea and the settings are very picturesque. The resort is also located very well. You are only a couple of minutes walk from the beach party’s, bars and restaurants (however if your not planning on partying you may find it difficult to sleep) Overall we had a pleasant enough stay.
I have been 8th times on PhiPhi island since 1992. Last time in 2011. I loved this place. But -i think- PhiPhi is died by the partying tourist and careless natives. Its too loud (you need earplugs in nighttimes). Too dirty. Full of garbage. Can you imagine we couldnt swim in the see, because it was incredible dirty... The snow white sand disapeared and now yellow, somewhere grey and brown.....the mankind is idiot how kill the nature. Do not travel to in PhiPhi if you have been before there, but if you have not , then you can check it before you couldt do it. Loh Dalum bay is the dirtiest side of the island. You need to escape to longbeach, runtee beach or the farest corner of the island. There you can find clear water, yet. Anyway Phi Phi View Point Resort is very good place to stay and they have a swimming pool with beautiful view. The bungalows also have a stuning view. The staff is excelent, kind, helpful.
Location was very close to the beach and nice views from the pool. But you can hear all the loud music from the clubs on the beach till very late.
Not a 5 star resort by any means but 5 stars for what you pay for. The music is close and you can hear it till 2am but that doesn’t bother me. Every hotel is a 5 Star when it comes to location. Cool pool and cheap beers. Defneitly a younger hotel for fun travelers
Good option in Koh Phi Phi ”
After reading many negative reviews I was actually pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It is not luxury by any means, but the view from a Seaview bungalow was breathtaking! The staff cleaned our room daily and were helpful with bookings etc. The pool is absolutely amazing, and where we spent most of our time. If you are looking for a quiet place, this is NOT for you which is nothing to fault the hotel for, just something to be aware of in the area.
Beautiful location and fun bungalows all within walking distance to town. Phi Phi is not the quiet honeymoon spot. If you like to party and enjoy action, this resort is far enough away to relax and close enough to find your way home at night.
Everything was awsome, pool is wicked with a pretrt nice view! Quite a little hike to get there from the ferry and specially after you get there to get to the bungalow its a little walk but its all worth it at the end😄! We did a mistake booking a dbefore and never show up and then we had to book another day! They didn't wanna give us free breakfest on last day since they say was peak season ! In general its an beautiful view!
Best view to wake up to on Christmas ”
Very confusing when you get of the ferry but luckily there is a guy that will take all your luggage to the hotel and room, never would have found the hotel otherwise. People on the front desk are so friendly and helpful and know who you are off by heart. We had an idividual hut which was quite a trek up the hill (good thing you don't take the cases up or down it) but the view is so worth it and the baloncy on the front are just amazing best place to have a cold drink and watch the sunset. The pool was the best pool on the island I can't do it justice. Breakfast is good to Thai orange juice takes some getting use to. The only thing which the hotel can't help is the party music from the beach but that stops around 2-3. Beauty on a budget
Great views, super friendly staff”
Room: Hillside Sea View Bungalow, 3 nights Demo: mid/late twenties We loved our stay at Viewpoint. The view from our room (V33) was so fantastic that we didn't even bother taking the hike to the island's viewpoint. The pool was equally great for an awesome view. Our room was very clean and the A/C was brilliant (unlike other bungalows with a view that only offer a fan). The staff were very friendly and helpful and even helped us transfer our luggage from our previous hotel. Yes, it gets a tad loud at night but we're heavy sleepers so it didn't bother us. The provider breakfast was quite pleasant and you get a choice, which is nice; we recommend the omelette. And as for the ones complaining about the stairs - they're all from countries with an overweight/obesity rate of 60%+ so what does that tell you? If you're booking hillside on an island that doesn't even have cars, don't be expecting to be whisked up on an escalator. We did them several times a day and it didn't bother us at all.
Good view, basic room”
The views from the room are great and I spent most of my time at the pool and on my balcony. The room is spacious but very basic and you will hear the music from the clubs at night (not that that is the fault of the hotel). I definitely recommend staying here because of the pool. The staff at the front desk was amazing. They were so nice and helpful. Make sure to get a pick-up from the pier since it's about a 15 min walk.
Great view, quite peacefull corner at phiphi”
Its a quite peacefull resort, located aside from all the center city noice of koh phi phi, which makes it more suitable for vacational and romantic atmosphere! The pool is small but beautifull, with an outstanding ocean view! Each bongolow has a private balcony and huge windows, facing the ocean to the west side of phi phi (the clean side, not the one with the main port).
Great view! Quite and peasfull resort with pool”
First of all, i have to say, the staff of that resort are the suitest i met in Thailand! Second, Its a quite peacefull resort, located aside from all the center city noice of koh phi phi, which makes it more suitable for vacational and romantic atmosphere! The pool is small but beautifull, with an outstanding ocean view! Each bongolow has a private balcony and huge windows, facing the ocean to the west side of phi phi (the clean side, not the one with the main port). Finally, despite all that, you can get here withought taking a taxi boat, just a 15min walk from the pier and the market.
Won’t stay here again”
Infinity pool, good view and comfy bed are great. But the furnishing is way too old! Tv doesn’t work. Shower is not great. The water tap is sooo inconvenient. The worst thing about this place is that there’s no way you can go to sleep before 2am even if you wear ear plugs!!
Koh Phi Phi is very nice. Viewpoint has a nice view from the bungalows and infinity pool is great. Due to the rain, there were mosquitos to deal with around the bungalows. We walked up all the steps to the top to see the amazing view. Well worth the trek up the mountain.
Good value but past its prime ”
Lovely staff and pool area is pretty awesome but rooms and gardens have definitely seen better days. Also be prepared for a short hike up the hill if you are staying in the bungalows. The sunset views are worth it I would say its a great hostel more than a hotel.
great for view and pool...not at all for sleeping”
Pros: best view, best infinity pool. Some staff are excellent some need to learn. The fridge and AC worked great, shower only has hot as an option. cons: you will not get any sleep until 2am with or without earplugs or even noise cancelling earbuds, the party at the beach is just too much. We asked if we could move to a quieter room but they said our room was good and they could provide earplugs. The walk up to the top is a workout in +38. It's old and dated and there is garbage and construction waste everywhere. But this seems to be a PP thing. Perfect if want to sleep all day and party all night but horrible if you have food poisoning and trying to recover.
