"Much can be said about the staff, but to keep things short, they are phenomenal. To start off, they speak English, which is a rarity in this area of Thailand. I was able to communicate with them flawlessly, and they were extremely kind and hospitable. The family that owns the resort actually lives on site, so they are accessible 24/7. Speaking of hospitality: for three days in a row, the owner drove me to Sam Phan Bok (a nearby attraction) for every sunrise and sunset, waking up as early as 4:30 AM in the morning. If you want to experience Ubon Ratchathani with the locals but stay in a resort like accommodation, this is the best place. There is working A/C in the room, the rooms are pretty clean, and there is a restaurant on site as well. Great location as it is only a 10-15 minute drive from Sam Phan Bok, and the nearby town. Overall, I am 100% returning to Plaifah Resort the next time I visit Sam Phan Bok!"
