Old hotel but comfortable and retains charm”
The place is centrally located and the staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is very old and shows it’s however it remains comfortable and convenient with a 24hr restaurant and bar attached.
dirty pool. no windows”
dirty pool dark rooms and a lack of interesse in guests.poor aircon. i cancelled future bookings at this hotel. hotel danielas place is same bad. also its better to stay closer to the walking street cause nightlife is boaring in this area.
ive been staying here every year since 2010. older hotel, but charming, wat makes this place is the staff, every year same people, same excellent service. Rose that the front desk is the engine that drives this place. she is amazing, you can find the owner there most mornings! very approachable. this place is family oriented. u see the same people there year in and out, truly an under valued gem. HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION. ohhhh and THE FOOD IS AMAZING!
Clean and comfortable”
This hotel is clean and comfy. Most of the things are old. Rooms are like old american style rooms but beddings are clean and good. Staff is friendly. Allowed us to checkout late.
Simple but quiet place ”
Staff is awesome. Food is extensive as well.
This hotel I have stayed at many times because it is Friendly the management and staff are very helpful. The pool is well maintained unlike many in Asia. The restaurant is available 24/7 which is great and the room service cost is same as in restaurant. The plus is that it is expat owned and run and virtually all the guest are expats or vacationers so you feel at home here and very safe. I would be happy to recommend this hotel I wish them a merry Christmas and happy new year
This is one place where they treat you like a friend and it does not feel fake. The food is some of the best in town. They are a small older place but they are one the best places for a budget and quiet location.
A clean and quiet place in Malabanas”
To reach the so-called 'Walking Street' - the center of nightlife there - you can flag down one of the numerous jeepneys, stopping in front of the hotel (the fare is 10 Pesos), or it's just a healthy walk of 15-20 minutes along the Field Av. The location of the hotel is safe and quiet, the staff - including the owner - very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, all equipped with cable tv, aircon and refrigerator. The kitchen (same as the bar) is opened 24 hours. The prices are moderate or even low (SMB 60 P, some brewed coffee). The restaurant offers any kind of food (Filipino as well as western food), but is specialized on a long range of Indian food, from mild to spicy. If you feel hot, just jump into the swimming pool! Because most of the customers are eager to watch sport events, the restaurant has 3 big screens for different programs. One mostly is reserved for world- and nationalwide actual news (all in English). Daily 3 English newspapers are available to read for free inside the Restaurant. So, this hotel with about 30 rooms from standard, luxury to VIP level is to be recommended (and even fully booked during the season).
I have stayed in many differant hotel in this area but this one really suited me had all that i was looking for and the staff could not have been more helpful The pool was always clean and the resturant open 24/7 good food good price and as hired a motorbike was able to park inside so very secure at night So YES i would highly recomend this hotel it is not the most luxury but by far the best value I have had in Clark area. When next i am in Philippines i will be staying at the Phoenix.
We are group of 16 and enjoyed our overnight stay :-) I sooooooo love the Beef with sautéed mushroom and even it's pricey but it's worth it (Rice per cup is P60.00) Ms. Myrna the one serving us in the pool area is very kind lady she's always smiling and we love her 😍 (unlike the old cranky woman in red she's so "masungit" 😠 Phoenix Hotel must replace her because she's liability) Just a suggestion to the management; Please put a sign "uneven floor" in front of the door from reception area because I sprain my left foot badly yesterday upon check out. Overall we had an amazing Stay and will sure be back again soon. I also like Ms .Raiza and Ms. Jas 😘😍😀
Great Price and Great Staff”
This is an older hotel. The glory days are gone. However, the staff and the price makes this a great place to stay. The food they serve is some of the best in Angeles City. Helpful and protective of their guests they treat you like family that they like, not family they have to like! A short walk to Garfields Last Stand, a true old fashion bar without the hustle found in loud newer joints!
Great Bargin Great Small Hotel”
The staff, including the front desk are the best! The food they serve is fantastic. The rooms are showing their age and a little should be spent on upgrades. However, for a safe, friendly no frills place to stay you won't find better in Angeles City. Will stay again!
Excellent value for a quiet clean hotel!”
Stayed at Phoenix late January 2016 and I will do so again. Great value, clean, quiet, amazing friendly staff. I was shocked to never see a cockroach the entire week. The pool is just ok. Resto/Bar was nice- they had a great turkey meal. Only a short 7 peso jeep ride to margarita station and the main action.
Oldie but a goodie”
The staff and the hotel do a great job of utilizing what is there and making it an awesome place to stay. I have actually stayed here for extended stays and enjoy the privacy, the pool and the breakfast. Not a new hotel but the staff do a great job maintaining it. No complaints, would only recommend that they include breakfast with the room charge. But that is not a deal breaker here.
Great place to stay”
Good hotel with excellent restaurant and clean swimming pool. Located in the Perimeter area but still near to Field ave. Walking distance about 10-15 minutes. Easy to get/use Jeepney at 8 peso/ride to Field terminal or the more expensive Trike at 100 peso/ride. Room is clean but mattress a bit soft. Staff is polite & eager to answer any queries. Overall a good place to stay.
Home from Home”
I love this hotel. It is not for everybody and it won't meet 5 star standards but for me that is not important. What is more important to me is the genuine warm welcome that I receive when I return. Sometimes I almost forget that its a hotel because the staff are so welcoming, they feel like real friends. But even if you have never been there before why not give it a try. You can show up in Angeles without knowing a soul in town, check in to the Phoenix and go sit in the restaurant / bar. Within 10 minutes you will have a room full of friends with everybody happy to advise you where you can go to find whatever you are looking for. I just wish there was more water pressure in the shower!
Great quite hotel, in a good location”
This is my third time staying at the Phoenix hotel, I once again. I enjoyed my stay. The Phoenix Hotel is becoming one of my favorite hotels to stay when in Angeles. The staff is Top notch, the food is good and the location is ideal as it in quite area, but not too far from the main strip. Most importantly, in the rooms the shower water is hot, the Air Con is cold and quiet and I sleep so good when I am staying there I highly recommend the Phoenix Hotel. On another note, One of my mates came down from Manila for an overnight stay but had to leave due to a family emergency and forgot to pay for his accommodation. The Staff at the Hotel were very professional (they did not chase me, call my room or police and get all crazy); they waited until they saw me later passing the reception desk in the evening to inform me of what they thought had happened( my mate not paying his bill) and I was able to cover my mates charges. No need to call the boss or management, it was handled at the appropriate level. A+ to the staff at the Phoenix.
on of only 3 hotels I stay when I am in Angeles. ”
Good location, but no far away from Field Ave, and @ a great perimeter Rd location. Great food, some of the best curry in town. I slept very well, the bed was comfortable and the room dark and nice in quite. Great hot water shower, no worry about brown outs. The staff at the hotel are first class. The only issue I had was I was unable to connect to the Wi-Fi in the room or restaurant, but I was using a mac. The Phoenix is my second favorite hotel in angeles.
