Lovely hotel and service with a smile”
april 2012, i and my girlfriend stayed at phoenix hotel for two night. all the staff of phoenix hotel are very friendly since we stepped in the hotel and they provided great level of services even the security guard who will always smile and open the door at main entrance for you to come in or go out from the hotel. the room is very comfortable which provide nice and clean bed and lcd tv with satellite channel like astro and although the wash room is considered a bit small but out of all the budget hotels this is the best we have seen so far due to it looks very new and clean. all facilities needed inside the room are completed, and also you may be able to request for other facilities and services like wifi, hair-dryer and etc..from reception. what is amazing to us which is the speed of the wifi connection, it is really fast and steady. although the location of phoenix hotel is a bit far from the pudu lrt station and we need to take about 10min walk to the hotel. we have taken cab to petaling street is only within 10min and it's cost few ringgit only because it is very far if walking to petaling street or even times square. altogether, we have great experience when the time we stayed at phoenix hotel for two night. the prices range for each of the room are reasonable and affordable. there is one of the nice hotel we have experienced. we will consider to have another chance again to stay at phoenix hotel. this experience is value for money and worthwhile. in my opinion, this hotel will be entitled score 9 out of 10.

Clean and cozy with helpful and friendly staff”
When I booked in Phoenix Hotel, I did not expect much since it is a budget hotel. I just told my children to be content for as long as it is clean. When we arrived in KL and checked in Phoenix Hotel, there was no hassle, the process was very fast. I just showed my hotel voucher. When we got into the room (family room), my children liked it a lot because it is very clean, bigger than what I expect. The bathroom is maintained clean with the basic complimentary toiletries. The staff are helpful and friendly. I recommend Phoenix Hotel.

Good Location, good staff, clean place”
Location is not exactly in front of petronas towers but still very near to most city places. It takes 5 minutes and 10MYR to reach timesquare(for shopping). Staff is really friendly, We had done a mistake in our online booking dates. Agoda and Phoenix both understood and resolved our problem without any issue. Environment is very clean. They dont serve food but there are few resturants at walking distance which serve ok kind of food. In this price and with this service. I totally recommend this hotel, unless you want to find something at walking distance from petronas towers/ famous shopping center etc.

[location] it is near pudu lrt, about 5 minutes walk. from pudu lrt, it's about 10 to 20 minutes to kl sentral and klcc train stations. [the hotel] the hotel is simple and clean. no other facilities, but just right for a short-term-stay traveler to spend the night in. no cafe/restaurant in the hotel itself. but there are enough local cuisines to choose from outside. no convenience stores nearby. the nearest would be at the pudu lrt station (7-eleven). [the room] the deluxe room offers a little less than the basics -- towels and toiletries, coffee and tea, cups and kettle. other items are available at a price (such as bottled water, disposable toothbrush, hair dryer etc). the room is clean and had no-smoking sign. although i specifically requested for a non-smoking room, but the one i got had a hint of cigarette smoke smell, probably from previous guests. so if you hate cigarette smoke like me, tell the hotel personnel. the room size is a little small, but ok. [the bed] i love the bed. the softness is perfect for me. scale of 1 to 10, 1 being the marbled floor and 10 the cotton ball it's at 6. clean sheets and pillows too. [the bathroom] clean bathroom as well. hot and cold shower, toilet with bidet. i just didn't like it that the bathroom was not designed to separate the toilet and shower area in mind. no curtains at all to separate the two, and the drainage runs to one corner. the entire bathroom floor gets wet.[internet] the have both lan and wireless high-speed complimentary connection. very good! [housekeeping and service] very good housekeeping and service. hotel personnel are very helpful and accommodating. the only thing not good is that you have to ask at the lobby to reprogram your card key every time you go back to the hotel.

The location of Phoenix Hotel is good as it is near the city centre. As atraveler, to stay there is convenient and quiet. It is a three-storey modern building painted in yellow with a red logo of the hotel. The lobby is not big but with a big local painting on the wall with some plants. The counter for the reception is decorated with flower arrangement and the hotel name with "Welcome". On the second floor, there is a Japanese garden which is simple and aesthetic. The room in the hotel was clean and tidy with basic furniture and facilities including a double bed, a desk with internet link and a red chair, a plasma TV, a water boiler with coffee and teabags. There is a bathroom with a shower. The impression is easy and comfortable. Cons: There should be a laundry or some steels for hanging clothes in the bathroom by handwash for those visitors staying for a few days.

very good hotel, lovely staff”
we stayed here for a week in double room that faces a courtyard. the staff were very accommodating as we had chosen a zen room but then wanted to move. the zen rooms are quite small and face outward from hotel so nearer to some traffic noise but they are functional. if you are a light sleeper and want a very very quiet room then just ask for one that faces the courtyard. the hotel is a 10 min walk to pudu lrt which is then 7/10 mins on train to the centre of city (masjed jamek station)

Good location and friendly service”
When I had the problem with the cable connection in my room, I kept calling the staff for two hours to solve my problem. Although he was busy, he was still nice and polite. Before the conference, it was urgent for me to check the details in the internet at the previous night. He let me use the hotel's computer checking for ten minutes and it's enough. After I attended the first day conference, a IT technician came to my room and fixed the PC setting matching with the cable system. We had a long chat and I thanked her so much for her friendliness and helpfulness. In my stay in Phoenix Hotel, I had very good impression for the services and manner of the staff.

The hotel, close to the Pudu sky train station, is just the size and price for a family outing. Close to the hotel was a Karoke bar where the food was just the right price and taste for any Sri Lankan. Had a nice time, seeing a beautiful country.

Friendly service”
Phoenix Hotel is actually located near Pudu LRT station that is just walking distance. However it's not that near, so walking to the hotel from LRT is not recommended particularly for elderly. However the room is simple and clean and the bed is comfortable and the place is quiet. Besides that it only takes 10-15 minutes to Pudu Sentral.

Just ONE issue”
Phoenix Hotel has good staff, from the Juniper to the front desk, and those uncles who helped me to take care of the parking and car. THEY ARE GREAT. But the parking problem really really really have had to be solved. I wish there is more parking for the next trip. Last but not least, highly recommend PHotel to the others. 😊😊

Good value for money”
The Phoenix hotel is indeed good value for money. I booked the Zen room but my impression was that I was upgraded since the room had a good size queen bed, was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bath was clean. Negatives were: no safe in the room and my room was to the street and it was very loud during the night - bring oropax. Print out a map of the hotel since the taxis from the airport do not know were this hotel is: I had a gruelling 2hours search instead a straight forward 30mins drive from the airport! No food/mini bar but you can but water from the reception and you can breakfast at the hotel next door.

A little noisy as the hotel is on a busy road. Rooms clean and adequate. Staff friendly and helpful. Not easy to find first time if come off the train, but only about 4 blocks walk from the train station at Pudu - convenient.

the phoenix hotel is a decent budget hotel. the rooms are small, and the beds are very low (no bed base) but all the expected facilities were there (minus some tea and coffee to go with the kettle and mugs!) not much space for a lot of luggage, but fine if you plan on being out and about in the city sightseeing all day. the area is not the best, but their are good transport connections close by. a lounge/seating area would be nice downstairs.

Clean & Great value”
We stayed at the hotel for abotu 10 nights. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean. The sheets were changed daily. Great value too. Since it is a new hotel, many cab drivers do not know the place and you will need to carry the hotel cards when you go out. No wi-fi but cable internet is free. Try to get work with the staff to find the right verbage as of how to explain to the drivers if they do not know where it is. It costs about to KLCC if they use the meter, to Pavilion, Chiantwon, etc. with limited traffic. Taxi can be expensive during the traffic hours since it charges about 1RM for every 3-4 minutes wait time. I would definately recommend this hotel to my freinds.

Not-too-bad”
Most convenient way to reach the hotel via LRT is to walk from Pudu LRT station. Even so, it's takes about 10 minutes to walk to the hotel. Staff are able to give advice on how to get to places via the rail system. Other than black-&-white copies of the rail network, there're no maps of the city provided at the hotel. The doorman always gets the door for you when you enter/exit the hotel, making you feel like a VIP. On the whole, the hotel room is well maintained. Had a good 1-night rest during my stay in KL.

Basic but comfortable room, Residential location”
We enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is a bit out of the way, but transportation in KL is fairly cheap and efficient, so that wasn't much of a problem. The rooms are basic, but have everything you need and are spotless. Also, there are some really good local eateries in the area. I really recommend the Chinese chicken rice place down the street. The down man will point you in the right drection.

Good budget option in quirky area”
very enjoyable stay. whilst it's not right in the centre, it's not far from lrt and is only 20rm from the centre in a teksi after midnight. small room but not an issue if you're out and about all the time. the area had a real local feel, no backpacker hostels or indeed other tourists and there is an interesting karaoke venue down the road...no restaurant at the hotel, but you don't need one with all the local hawker stalls and restaurants. staff were friendly and helpful.

My stay was five nights with my family. I select three star hotel because during the stay I had to spent out of the hotel. The hotel facilities were alright for me. Through out the stay we were out for sight seeing and shopping. This Hotel was situated near Pudu railway station so I travelled in the train also.
