Awesome pool and comfortable stay”
Had two nights at the Phonepasued - Clean, comfortable room, large bathroom with hot water shower. Bed a little firm but large. Best part is the large pool complex opposite the hotel, which I had all to myself. Didn't eat there apart from Breakfast - basic Lao hotel fare - fresh baguette and eggs any style, juice and coffee. I enjoyed my stay on my Thai visa run and would stay there again.

If you would like a pool- go for it- otherwise no...”
The hotel has a very big pool, and you can use it almost alone because there are not many people in the hotel. The hotel is far away from the city centre. You have to walk quite a bit. The room was clean but there was a sheet on which prices for the remote for the air conditioning and the use of the towels and so on was written- we were not sure if we should have paid more if we use these things, because we had booked a room with air con... The breakfast was included but it was really basic. You get a menu and you see pictures from which you can order, but you only get a plain bread and a fried egg, although there was a picture with bacon and other things... Also, the stuff is not really friendly... All in all, the price is much too high for this hotel, but we paid it for the pool. If you want to have a pool- don't expect anything else- and you are happy with the hotel.

Ideal”
location, tranquility, staff
I used to stay at Hoong Thip for its convenience and close proximity to the Thai embassy. However, since it became too expensive (1k baht per night) i decided to look elsewhere. I found this hotel to be the perfect place. The room was nice and big but the garden was ideal for passing the time in a very relaxed atmosphere. The manager even went to the store for my friends to pick up some edibles. The room was nice with a big bathroom and hot water. Although i spent most of my time in the garden rewinding. I'll be going back there for future visa runs. If you stay, call the hotel and let him speak to a tuk tuk driver before embarking on a journey to look for it - the name is difficult to pronounce. It took me about 10 mins in tuk tuk to arrive at the hotel from the new embassy. Yes, the Thai embassy has been relocated.

This hotel is truly a motel”
big room, big bathroom, clean sheets
This hotel is a motel, and located a bit far from the restaurants and river. Requires a tuk tuk to get around, especially at night, which is not the easiest. The staff are great, but the rooms are dated and the bathroom very moldy. Reminds me of the movie Barton Fink, with the peeling wallpaper.

It's so so. ”
Quick check-in. Let us check-in early in the morning.
Cons: The Internet is not good there. The front desk can't speak English. Pros: the boss let us check-in early in the morning for free, and the check-in speed is quite quick. Room is very large. The environment is quiet.
