I saw mixed reviews before planning to book here. But there were lots of good, so we took the leap. Honestly, I cannot complain, it was an amazing stay. The staff were very friendly and kind to us. The room was clean. The little gym and pool upstairs were clean. Lovely to sit up there in the morning for views. Location is good. 18 minute walk to the beach. Could be closer, but actually is super nice to be away from the noise, and beach hotels are much pricier anyway. So, from our experience, can highly recommend!
I had mixed feelings about my stay at Phu Dahla. While there were some great aspects, a few things left me disappointed. Pros: The view from the balcony was absolutely breathtaking. The interiors looked exactly like the pictures online, which was reassuring. The staff were kind and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel’s exterior stands out—it’s better than most other hotels in Krabi. It has a gym, which is a bonus for fitness enthusiasts. The hotel seemed to be quite well-known in Ao Nang. Whenever we booked a tuk-tuk or an island tour, we didn’t need to explain the exact location—everyone knew about Phu Dahla. CONS: I found a cockroach in my bathroom, which was unsettling. There was garbage under the table when I checked in, which made me question the cleaning standards. The blanket/comforter was extremely thin—definitely not suitable if you’re feeling unwell or need extra warmth. The bedsheets looked off-white and seemed poorly washed. It didn’t feel great sleeping on them. The towels were very rough, and after a beach day with irritated skin, they didn’t provide any comfort. Towels felt like carpet mat. For the price I paid, I expected better. If the rates were lower, I might have felt differently. The hotel is far from 7-Eleven, and the surrounding area is quite dark and not lively. While it felt safe, it wasn’t convenient. Overall, while the hotel had some fantastic elements like the view, staff, and exteriors. The cleanliness and comfort (especially the bedsheets, comforter, and towels) really fell short for me. If they improved these aspects, it would be a much better experience.
Amazing stay on the family tour to the south! The room was very good, even though we only stayed one night near Ao Nang, we were very impressed. The staff took great care of us and the service was excellent. Even though we booked two rooms that were not next to each other, it was fine. The rooms are spacious, with a mini kitchen and a microwave to heat up food, and plates and utensils are provided. The large bed was really loved by my partner, super comfortable to sleep in. The smaller bed was also nice with a balcony for drying clothes, absolutely perfect! The bathroom has standard amenities, with a separate hairdryer in the wardrobe. The water pressure was strong, making for a satisfying shower. The air conditioning was cool and large, both in the bedroom and in the big shared area. The location is conveniently accessible and easy to find. The swimming pool is also nice. Amazing! 🤘🏼✌🏼
I would like to comment on the separation that if you book through Agoda, you can only stay on the first floor. If you want to go to the upper floors to see the view, you have to pay an additional 200, which was told to us only upon arriving at the accommodation. This is not okay, but the room itself is very nice. The layout is clearly defined; the room is not big and feels like a small condo. The amenities are complete, with a kettle, microwave, refrigerator, sink, and even plates and utensils, which is very good. The staff is lovely, but I don't like the hotel policy of only allowing stays on the lower floor. To go upstairs, you have to pay extra. Even though it's not a lot, it leaves a bad feeling.

The overall experience was great. The location is quite secluded thus, the first night we almost can’t find the location. But after that, the trip became easy and fun! The staff are really friendly (English speaking) and she able to help us with Tuk Tuk booking. Easing our trip to go far places. Overall experience was great. The room is spacious too.
