Sanctuary in Siem Reap”
My husband and I have just returned from our fourth stay at Phum Baitang. The staff remembered that it was my husband’s birthday, and surprised us with a special cake after lunch at the restaurant. This place is like a village within a village. You see water buffalos munching on grass right outside your window. Sea of green in the middle of the property where rice is being grown. Wooden decor inside your villa including some unique antique pieces. A beautiful stone bathroom with a huge shower area and a separate tub area. And the food! You don’t have to leave the resort if you don’t want to. I tried a different salad everyday, and every one of them was better than any salad you get in Singapore for twice the price!! And the best part.. it’s not a mega hotel, so you won’t run into bus loads of tourists. I hope to come back soon.
Amazing ”
Phum Baitang lived up to its reviews and luxury hotel award. We couldn't be any happier. The room was great. The resort facilities are excellent. The food especially the panna cotta is the best we've tasted. The staff are very friendly and attentive to our needs. Truly an amazing experience. We'll definitely go back.
The best hotel I’ve ever stayed at”
My entire experience at Phum Baitang was really exceptional. Unlike the other hotels in Cambodia, it brings you to a picturesque location not too far from the places you wish to go. Once you enter, you would feel like you’re being brought to the olden times of asia but with luxurious facilities and extremely friendly staff who all speak great English. The front desk staff (Harold and Nimea) even helped us plan our itinerary and helped us with our tours. We were also given a really great driver who handed us cold towels and water when we toured. I’m so excited to come back here again.
Made Our Stay”
Traveling with a one year old is a challenge, but this resort helped make it the most amazing trip. Everyone was extremely kind, made sure we had what we needed, and went above and beyond to make things special - from the Tuk Tuk and Car Drivers, to the restaurant staff, and even anyone we saw at the resort along pathways, cleaning, in the spa, or gardens. The property itself is relaxing and calm, and the accommodations large and comfortable. Breakfast was big and a perfect way to start every day, and the extra care taken to make sure my gluten free needs were met was really fantastic as well. Highly recommend this resort and their staff to get to and explore Siem Reap and Angkor Wat. Thank you for all you did.
Luxury and relaxation ”
This was a great base for temple touring in Siem Reap - far enough from the hectic city and crowds, but close enough to be able to easily be amongst it if we wanted. The resort is fabulous with a huge pool, a very cool cocktail bar and 2 great restaurants. The food was so excellent we ate there every night (not something we normally do), but do be warned that they rotate the restaurants so you can't choose between them. They seem to think of every little detail even down to bikes to cycle around the complex. Highly recommend the pool villa. After a morning of temple sightseeing it was wonderful to have a dip in the pool in our own back garden and lounge on our daybed and sunloungers. Other highlights include the pick up in the Land Rover and the general service from the lovely staff.
Paradise ”
Phum Baitang is exception in ever regard. We did not want to leave. The setting is amazing as are the staff.
Stunning setting for fabulous stilted houses with suberb attention to detail”
A stunning plot of beautiful stilted houses set in established rice paddy fields. Five star facilities on a small scale - difficult to achieve well and someone has obviously paid huge attention to detail creating this place. Its close enough to Siem Reap to pop to town for dinner/exploring, but quiet and chilled at the same time. Great private pools and main infinity pool. Food delicious. Would love to go back, but ideally without our kids (10mths/4yrs) as hotel not targeted at families with young kids, and also long hot trips around the ancient sites not the best fit for us as a family right now. Can see this being a honeymoon/ premium bucket list target audience hotel.
Relaxing time ”
I like phum Baitang , this place is where i looking for , to escape from the city life .
Green paradise village”
We were unprepared for how huge the compounds were, like a manicured utopian village. The villas were luxurious in an understated, organic way; the staff were faultlessly friendly and seemed genuinely happy to be working there. The villagers and buffalo working the small fields seemed well cared for and took frequent breaks. The food, while reasonably priced, was just average and the spa/massage were astronomically expensive compared to even the better spas in town. The location was secluded and the tours also very expensive, so it's a great retreat but not such a good base to explore Siem Reap.
exceptional ”
I had heard about the property for a long time and went for a few days on a short trip to Siem Reap...splitting the stay with this and another to give contrast to the stay... I wish I had booked the entire stay here. It's magical and incredibly special with so many details thought about and actioned.. I am a big fan of experiential travel and this was the best option for seeing the temples and taking time out with family. we will be back! thank you
Amazing hotel, a truly resort!”
We stayed there for 4N/5D. The atmosphere there is peaceful and relaxing. You can enjoy your quiet time there, "swimming" in your private pool, enjoy sunshine and breeze by the pool. It is a luxury oasis just 10 minutes from downtown Siem Reap-- the feel of a small Cambodian village complete with rice paddies and water buffalo. Staffs are very friendly and helpful.
Best resort in Cambodia”
Great open area with beautiful but simple furnishings. Food is awesome, staff is super friendly and helpful, David the F&B manager was so nice, we did a cooking class with Kim who was a great instructor - I can't say enough good things about this place. Must stay in siem reap
Rustic tranquility with modern comfort”
The resort is near the airport with excellent friendly staff. The room was well appointed and comfortable for a good night sleep. It is definitely a reprieve from the hustle of concrete jungle, where one can turn the world off if needed. If not, a 15 ride will transport you to the heart of the city to be among the crowd. The only thing that would make this a self contained resort is the quality and selections of food, which is not quite up to par for a five star resort. The food was good, though not memorable. I found myself eating for the shake of eating, rather than craving and longing for the next meal. If you are looking to excite and enlightened your taste buds, you will be disappointed. Overall, it is a terrific facility, and the staff are its asset.
Small piece or paradise”
Simple luxurious hotel. With perfect design and wonderful staff. The best choice for Siem Reap!
Excellent”
Precious Gem close to Siem Reap centre by tuk tuk.
An oasis”
A stunningly beautiful resort near to the airport and the city! A real oasis to come back to after a day of sightseeing and the hustle and bustle of the city! The staff is very friendly, professional and all of them have a lot of humour! One of the nicest hotels we've been and can only recommend it!
Small piece of paradise”
Great rooms, great setting, very friendly staff. The resort is vast & beautiful. The room are magnificent (especially the bath & shower), along with the great sense of style in the pool and the resort's Bar.
Special place and service”
Perfect service and atmosphere. The cottage, furniture, amenities, welcome drink/sweets/fruits, good selection of breakfast...... everything was perfect. The tuk-tuk they arranged for us was also great, they prepared cold wet towels with herbal aroma for us to cool down after the sightseeings under the hot sun. Also they allowed us to stay till 15pm when they knew our flight departure was around 17pm. Only a thing that I would like to bring up is that better to have more menu options for lunch & dinner. The price was expensive from Cambodian standard, little choices of local menu. All things we ordered was tasty but if there were local food options, I do wanted to choose that.
An oasis of calm , beauty and relaxation”
Beautiful resort that is removed from the hustle and bustle of the city center while only a 15 minute car ride away. Good place to relax after a day of sightseeing. Food and facility was excellent.
Great design but disappointing food.”
Loved the resort design, interior decoration and the landscaping however let down by the quality and choice of food especially considering the high price. Staff friendly however juniors looked a bit lost at times given the language. Overall good but could/should be better.
