Terrible staff and cleanliness... RUN!”
They gave us room 305. We checked in to drop our bags off and we immediately smelled the room was off but we thought maybe from the humidity It gave of the moldy smell. Found the toilet seat broken it was just placed to look alright but when you open the lid everything falls apart. As I walk out I tell them about the toilet seat they said they will have somebody fix it. I came back after visiting the night market, the staff said they had somebody fix the toilet seat. I felt the staff had a smirk on them when they said it. They literally just placed it like together again like it was originally. The odor was terribly stronger. It end up being the drain on the bathroom giving off sewer smell. My wife couldn't sleep so we asked for another room. The person gave us 207, so we went to inspect it. The smell was better but the room was dusty. Sheets and walls were very dusty and upon further investigation there was mold on the wall so we elected to just try to fight it out for the night in 305. I asked the night person for soap or detergent to pour down the drain. He gave me what he could find and air freshener spray. I used their toothbrush to clear the hair in the drain and dumped the soap down and filled the bathroom with air freshener and closed the door. It was bearable enough for me to fall asleep woke up in 2 hours and tried to do the same but it didn't seem as affective. In the morning on the way out for breakfast we told them we want to check out because the smell is horrible. The girl tools us it is our room for the 2 nights we booked, we can check out whenever we want but that room is ours for the 2 nights. The staff aren't empathic and they seem like they know what they are, so take it or leave it. I didn't bother to rush back after breakfast to check out since they said they can't help me. When I came back decided to try to ask one more time for another room before leaving off to another hotel. They gave me 205 which seem a lot cleaner and smelled okay. So we

Pretty good location”
The staff members, including the proprietor, were mostly friendly and accommodating. There seemed to be some mistake make, and they gave us a very basic room at Phuong Huy 2 Hotel at first. When we requested for a change of room, especially when we could not access the wifi from the basement room, they tried to correct their mistake and in the end we got a nicer room with reliable wifi at Phuong Huy 1 Hotel. The room was facing the street, and so it was pretty noisy at night with motorbikes driving past. However, we were given a choice of a room without window and when facing the street, and we chose the latter because it was bigger and got more light. On the whole, it's a good hotel!

we upgraded to a room with window, with additional U$2. The room is big, but a bit old. The door, furniture, the bathroom is a bit old. One of the lady staff could speak good English, so it become a bit difficult with other staff when she is not around. The location is a bit far from the Dalat central area (the lake), it may take 10-15 minutes walk to the lake area. Take the budget price into account, this hotel is still good.

it is really a good place for backpacker. cheap price for spacious room. in term of location and view, phuong huy 2 or phuong huy 3 are better than it. staffs were friendly and pleasant. my small boy accidently locked bathroom door. could not find a key but waited for 2h for maintenance guy came to break it.

I had a trip to Dalat and booked Phuong Huy 1 hotel for 2.5 days with my spouse.Many equipment there looked so old, room looked not clean,toilet had some ugly smells, but general,the cheap price is match with what you had in this hotel.

Friendly staff, but basic rooms”
I booked the cheapest room at this hotel so I wasn't expecting much and indeed the room was basic, smelt a big musty and didn't have any windows. I asked to have a room with windows for the next night and the staff were happy to arrange this for me. They also gave me some good advice about onward travel and one of the workers saw me walking up the hill and stopped to give me a lift on his motor-bike. However, one evening, I was going out for dinner (about 6pm) only to find that the front doors to the hotel were locked shut with a bicycle chain from the outside and there was no one around, which seemed to be a common problem. I had to wait nearly half an hour for someone to come and let me out, not to mention the fire risk involved in this. But apart from this incident, basic hotel and cheap price so can't complain

Charming small hotel”
only intended on staying 2 nights but ended up staying 4 because da lat was a small charming town. the hotel is in a good location and mopeds are cheap for the day from the hotel. the young girl that works there was super. they don't provide food but thats fine. we brought food back from one if the numerous hotels and chilled out with the tv on and drank local wine ($2.50). would recommend this as a 1-2 star establishment. don't expect all the frills but for the price it was what we needed

Clean place but soundy”
Had a nice stay in Dalat. You can hear everything in the rooms among you very clearly. The place is on a mainroad, but not in the middle of the centre, but nice food and drinkplaces are near though. They say there is a restaurant part of the hotel, but the only thing I saw there were scooters.

the room was charming and had a private balcony, well worth the extra two dollars per night. felt very cosy in cold da lat and the staff were excellent help- we received great help from them regarding transport bookings during tet and also finding medication for an eczema condition (quite difficult when you don't speak vietnamese and they provided us with free of charge). bedding was the most comfortable we encountered during our trip, very warm and within walking distance of several great eateries and cafes. only minus was weak water pressure in the shower, but i haven't had a good shower since coming to vietnam so no hassles there.

Good hotel if your on a budget. 5 min walk to night market. Dalat is quite spread out so hire one of their scooters as it's an easy place to ride around in. Friendly staff who will help were they can.

well, the room seems pretty small and without window, that makes me feel uncomfortable.. but the staff there its very nice and helpful, always smile and shows all the info you need. the room its clean..not so clean but clean..and also, its really nice price, so think about it.

Just 5-10 mins walk to the central city. The English-speaking staff was very friendly. The room was nice. The only disadvantage was I felt a bit itchy when put the blanket on myself in the bed.

Staff provided me with the map right away once I arrived at the hotel. Also once I ask about the tour (which I booked from Saigon), the receptionist also offered to call to reconfirm. I wasn't expecting this for a budget hotel. Very great service.

Good location and value for money”
The location was great being about 10 minutes walk to the lake, the centre of town and to the market. The staff were friendly and spoke good English, not fluent but then my Vietnamese is awful. The room size was good and they upgraded me. The rooms at the front are noisy as the street is busy but the hotel was quiet and, for the money, it was a good price for somewhere to base yourself for a couple of days.

Room was big and spacious, although it costs just 9usd for two people. But, we haven't had internet as we stayed at 3rd floor where connection is really poor. For that price you can't complain much. Quite clean, too.
