Stay here for the pool!! I swam every single morning and then again at night or whenever I got the chance. Pretty much always had the pool to myself. It is a bit out of the way and off the main path but I felt comfortable walking alone.
So beautiful! ”
I loved every minute of staying here. The bungalows are gorgeous. I stayed in a non A/C room and I felt like the fan was enough to stay cool at night. The bed was super comfy and I liked that the resort was aways from the partying. The pool was amazing. The complimentary breakfast was fruit/toast/eggs/fried rice w veg and coffee/tea which is decent for a free breakfast. Would definitely stay again!
The resort itself is beautiful, the staff are kind people and helpfull, the rooms are great and comfortable with nice beds and air conditioning. The shower is also good but a little small. The pool view is fantastic. The breakfast is also very nice. The only thing to consider- its literally the furthest hotel from the island center. I mean its still just a 10-15 minute walk which is not that bad, but you have to walk up the hill. So if youre young and want to be close to all the noise and parties, pick a closer hotel. This one suits families ir couples more to my taste.
Fantastic view and pool”
We stayed here for 3 nights in April 2018. The view is incredible. The Infinity pool is clean and fresh and beautiful! The staff were very helpful welcoming and friendly. The bungalows are clean and simple. they are made of bamboo but safe and secure. room had safe and fan. didnt need aircon was cold at night with just a fan. The hill climb up to the hotel is a killer! Its only 15 mins to the main centre and quiet from the loud music but seriously that hill is hard! worth the climb for the view! the staff will pick you up from the pier with baggage and drop you off after so dont have to carry bags up the hill. Great place to stay!
Beautiful view of Koh phi phi ”
Great budget hotel, it was clean, and reasonable walking distance to Main Street, more secluded area but quiet. The water in the pool seemed dirty. A staff from the hotel will meet you at the pier to bring you to the hotel and back to the pier when departing, very useful. There’s also a dock where it’s possible to jump and swim in ocean. It’s difficult to find budget food and restaurant on the island , there is a street food market near the pier. Great value for your money.
Loud music, very loud music until 2am every night.”
Amazing view, very nice hotel. Pool, gardens, and one hell of a view. *Very loud music every night until 2am. I moved hotels since i couldnt sleep. If you want to party late, or bring ear plugs this hotel is great. Staff can be rude, but that isnt a big deal for me.
Stunning View from the pool”
Room was clean and staff were quite friendly, helping us with our hefty luggages up and down the steep hill that leads to the hotel. Even though the breakfast selection was meager, facilities and services provided were adequate, with the star of the resort being a pool that overlooked the bay, giving us stunning views over the beach and waters.
Beautiful views, breakfast included, great staff.”
We stayed in fan bungalow. On our first night we were acquainted with the termite nest in our roof which made its way down onto our bed and floor. We told staff the next day and they moved us happily to the bungalow next to ours. They were also very proactive about fixing the issue and had the room cleaned out/ fumigated etc. The staff there are very friendly and helpful. They were waiting for us at the pier on arrival to help with our bags without us even notifying them earlier and they also helped us back to the pier after checkout. The views here are beautiful, but beware that this comes at a price of to having to hike up a hill to get to the hotel (and even in the hotel down to the restaurant and bar from the rooms). We didn't mind this at all really. I would recommend getting an air con room here though because Phi Phi is hot. Especially when the hotel doesn't have a pool and the beach isn't nice to swim in on this part of the island (low tide means very shallow and often dirty). An air con room would offer a cool sanctuary. In saying this though there is a very nice area down by the water of the hotel with sun lounges and access to the water to swim if you like (just no beach, and sometimes dirty). While the staff were very accommodating and the hotel nice enough we wouldn't stay here again. The noise from the beach every night (starting about 5-6pm and turning off at 2am like clockwork) echoes straight up to Phuphaya and is pretty loud. We noticed it was actually quieter down closer to the beach and back from the beach away from the speakers. We also probably won't return back to Phi Phi again. This island is far too full of young party-goers out for a good time, and given there is a party every night its just too rowdy and dirty.
Good Affordable Option ”
I quite liked the design of the room, fairly modern with local thai influence, pretty spacious and has a nice big balcony, it is quite closed to the arrival point on the island and the beach, but that also means expect to hear music at night - best just dont try to sleep on the island - party away! :D
Good for Phi Phi”
There may be better bungalows for your money on Phi Phi, but compared to other islands you definitely pay more for what you get, overall, on Phi Phi. The view from the restaurant was lovely and the nice little porch on the balcony was good as well. I think it'd be worth the money to upgrade to seaview.
Friendly staff and beautiful surroundings.”
stayed here 2 nights. pro's: nice and clean rooms. the whole resort is on a hill with a nice view over the tonsai bay. close to the pier - which is both nice cause it only a few minutes walk to town, but also a bit noisy in the evening. earprops recommended. the staff is very helpful and will help you with almost everything you could think of, definatly the best service we've experienced so far (been travelling around for 2 months). con's: a bit far from the sandy beaches.
Serene, but inconvenient”
Great swimming pool, peaceful and serene resort. Location is quite terrible, one has to literally climb a hill to reach one's accommodation, which becomes extremely difficult after two cocktail buckets. Reception and staff is very friendly but don't work post 7 pm. Overall, a peaceful and quiet destination and value for money but I would recommend others to book closer to the jetty.
Great view up the hill”
This place is not for elderly or people that having problem with walk up the hill. The view from the pool is to die for worth every steps walk up the hill. The staffs aren't be seen after 8 pm. The breakfast was ok. Will i go back there again with friends? YES. Would I take my parents there? NO, I will never hear the end of it for making them walking up the hill.
Super relaxed resort”
We enjoyed our stay at the Phuphaya. Bamboo huts with fan are great. Other accommodation have Seaview, but that comes with a price. Breakfast was simple but enough, and the staff really helpful. The downside is the party music in the evenening. But that goes for all resorts around The village. Also, the Phuphaya is on a hill, so the walk to it is quite steep.
There’s nothing to like about this hotel!”
From check in to check out everything was bad customer service. The hotel location was very far. Their breakfast was 200 THB which is a toasted bread, fruits and coffee and juice. When we checked out, the driver wasn’t around so we have to walk to the pier which was almost 30mins. I don’t recommend this hotel. You don’t want your vacation to be ruined.
5 Star Views.”
This place is very lovely but that’s because I stayed in the Deluxe Seaview room. Wow! Just gorgeous! The only downfall is the breakfast and they don’t offer soaps or shampoo in the delux room which is abnormal. They need to offer something different each day as the same breakfast is given everyday. I mean it’s free so that’s good but they need to improve on variety. The pool is magnificent and the views are to die for. The staff are really lovely. I like the fact that it’s awesone to get to the Viewpoint lookout. I took the back way up and boy what a trek but I loved this as I really wanted Improve my fitness whilst being away. I recommend this place but definitely best in low season as it can get noisy in peek season apparently. Glad I came here at the right time.
Worst sleep ”
First- The bed is more like a rock. It is highly uncomfortable, and have stains on thr pillows. The bungalow looks beautiful in the picture but looks nothing like that in person. The rooms are tiny and have no place to put luggage. There is not mosquito netting and water bottles everyday like the hotel told us online. The breakfast is a small amount of eggs, toast and fruit. The curtain to the room is stained and grungy- there are cobwebs and lizard poop on the walls. There are also strange spills on the wall as well. The pool is also dirty-but it was very windy and rainy so that part is understandable. We also arranged to be picked up from the pier but no one was there upon arrival. The hotel is also close to one of the bars and it does not get quite until around 2 am. The only good thing I can say about our stay is that the view from the breakfast area is beautiful, and the air conditioner works well.
Worth it for the pool alone”
Gorgeous view from the swimming pool, we enjoyed the location which was a little away from the bustle but still walking distance. Standard rooms were good enough for the price, no problems with bugs or security and staff were friendly enough too.
This hotel located in unreal place, Awesome service. 5/5 stars”
Of course you have to walk little bit to the hotel, but it’s worth the view you get. Also it’s very near to the phi phi view point. And at the full moon party my friend got ankle sprain and staff help us a lot to arrive to the ferry, they arranged cart to carry. And since we went off season, it’s very calm. Also you can get 4island half day tour for 400THB, which is really good deal,. Hope you enjoy your stay. Cheers .
Never staying here again”
The staff are rude and arrogant. Room is run down and smelled like burning plastic all morning.
