The front lady at nightshift was wonderful and helpful. Nice room, only thing is that there is no elevator, we travel with eldery, breakfast was great, the view in the back was nice, a bit pricey for the stay comparing to other locations in town, but we had a nice stay.

Restaurant was closed so be prepared to go to town to eat. The location is stunning but the facilities need a update. Very peaceful once the restaurant opens I think it will be much more enjoyable

Not a good hotel”
We were very disappointed with this hote. 1. Overpriced. 2. Room was musty and several cockroaches were seen and killed. 3. Breakfast was terrible. There are much better alternatives in the area.

Nice hotel with helpful staff”
Hotel is in a very good location, just minutes drive to the main Phurua town. It has comfortable room with forest, creek and hills as backdrop. However because it is very near to the wood there are plenty if insects and bugs especially in the evening. That results in plenty of lizards. Staff are very courteous and helpful. We pointed out that there is some sediment in the drinking water at breakfast, the management came to see us and apologize.

Fairly no-frills, but pleasant”
We arrived early in the week and had the resort almost entirely to ourselves. The staff was friendly and responsive but not intrusive, and the proprietor extended himself personally to welcome us. The resort is no-frills in the sense that it feels like a family-run hotel business -- service is personable and the needed amenities are provided, but they're not going above and beyond to impress on every detail. For their real-world rates well below rack rate, which you will most likely receive through Agoda, this is probably expected and the value is quite fair. Unless you are a high-maintenance guest you should be more than satisfied. If you're seeking a quiet getaway, it is ideal. At the time of our stay, the standalone cafe on the property was closed, but the resort restaurant serves a coffee menu and is a comfortable and quiet place to sit with indoor and outdoor seating if you have work to do. The resort has a lot of function space that should make it well-suited to group outings and getaway events. Perhaps a misstatement on the Agoda hotel info: at the time of our stay, there was no in-room wifi in the Terrace, only at the main lobby and restaurant building.

Quiet and very beautiful.”
What a place. Very beautiful with the small river and very good designed waterfalls just below. The view from balcony was very nice. Breakfast good be better but the staff were very helpfull and kind. The resort place is very good. Not long way to petrolstation, 7/11 and the tourist attractions. The room was very nice and clean. The only thing I did not like was that the staff had some Kareoke music in the restaurent area. Not all persons like that, but here again, the staff show kindnes so we could eat in the air-cond room at no extra cost. I want to come back for sure. Magne from Norway.

Excellent for overnight stop ”
Very friendly and helpful staff made checking in very easy. We were escorted to the rooms which were well presented. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms modern and a good size. Rooms were in the Chomloei annex and offered a good view of the hillside from the balcony which has a table and chairs. The rooms only have a single desk chair and a couple of relaxing chairs or small sofa would have been nice. The internet signal was weak in the rooms on the end of the building, okay for laptops but iPhones struggle to pick it up and hold it. The breakfast was satisfactory with a variety of dishes available both western and Thai. We are at the restaurant in the evening and were very happy with the quality and taste of the food served. There is not a lot to do in this area hence recommending this hotel if you need to break a journey and want somewhere quiet and comfortable to stay. Our party was one foreigner and seven Thais.

Large rooms, friendly staff, remote location”
This hotel is pretty remote, the staff were friendly and the rooms although large smelt mouldy when I entered - it seems the rooms are not in use all that much. The balcony was large with a view of some fields and mountains in the background. The food in the restaurnat was fine, the included breakfast not too great. Next time I will skip Loei altogether and spend more time around Nong Khai and surrounds.

Relaxing resort in excellent location”
Quiet and peaceful location over-looking a valley stream through Phu Ruea. Rooms and quite spacious with nice balconies over-looking scenic countryside and stream below. Restaurant served good Thai food in a nice terraced atmosphere. Breakfast was good but a bit basic. This is a good place to come to relax for a few days in peace and quiet.

Probably one of the better hotels in Phu Rua but that still doesn't make it much better than merely average. Stayed there several times down the years and it's beginning to show its age now - a bit shabby. Breakfast is poor but probably on a par with most up-country 3 star hotels in Thailand catering predominantly to a Thai clientele. The staff, especially the receptionist, not particularly 'switched on'. Returned from dinner one night at approx. 9 pm and wanted to sit and chat with the rest of our group at the seating/dining area only to find it all dark and locked up. At 9 pm? Give me a break! Only stayed there as nothing better available at the time.

Pleasant Hotel, great location”
I enjoyed a 4 day stay here in December 2015 with a friend. Very pleasant cool weather, good location for travelling around the area. Free water each day. Very clean. Own transport needed of course. Very much for Thai, and not so good at catering for Western visitors. Western breakfast menu limited but adequate - cereal, juice, toast, US Breakfast on request. The view from room fantastic but: (1) No in-room safe; (2) No English speaking channel on the TV; (3) Basic hot water facility in shower in need of renovation. Limited menu in the evening, particularly in choice of drinks (and wine). Only a very short drive to other places to eat and drink though. We walked one evening, which was a bit dangerous even with a torch, and not to be recommended! But if you are looking for somewhere quiet for a day or so then this could be it! The cost (more than UKP60 per night) was however a bit pricey for what we got. I guess we were paying for the view and location.

Good location”
Room is bit old, but no problem. They have good service mind to allow us early check-in according to their room availability condition, and also 1st room we checked in, there was a beehive at the terrace and asked to change room, and they immediately arranged the change. Which makes us feel very comfortable. Breakfast is small and not Impressive, but just okay for getting ready to go out. Hotel staff are not very friendly, but they have good enough service mind and polite.
