Excellent Choice For The Traveler”
i'd never been to davao city and picked this b&b because i generally don't care for large corporate hotels. i made a great choice with piazza luna. it's a large nearly new building with a variety of room types from simple (cheap)dormitory to very nice private rooms with full bath. the prices are so reasonable i went with one of the nicest rooms, and then they even upgraded me when i arrive. you want security when you travel, and piazza luna has a guard by the door, cctv cameras throughout, and sophisticated rfid card electronic locks on the door. i just left everything out in the room. no problem. my room was squeaky clean and bathroom clean and efficient. the bathroom is in the local style whereby the shower is just the far end of the room with a water heater on the wall. no curtains, no wall, no separate space. very functional. if you're the tourist type that expects everything to be just like america, give this a try. i think you'll be please. but the clean, secure rooms are just the beginning of the story. the real benefit to stay at piazza luna is in the owners. the whole family is involved in the operation and they treated me more like a visiting relataive than a paying guest. not a single need was not immediately attended to. they even made me dinner the night i arrived, and that's not part of the package. the breakfasts are, however, part of the deal, and you should not miss it. fresh and homemade every morning the breakfast was a real treat, like visiting grandma. you will not go wrong spending a night or a season at piazza luna. it's the perfect combination of a great facility and great people. everything that makes a traveler want to keep coming back.

My Stay in the Hotel Was Totally SUPERB!!”
Piazza Luna is one of the best affordable hotels here in the city. The hotel is operated by a friendly family (and don't forget to meet Ashley btw). They have clean and cozy room. The bathroom/toilet is very clean as well. They have sound-proof windows! Everything is excellent about the hotel. For sure, your money won't be gone to waste. If you want to go to Davao, stay on this hotel! Its location is perfect. It is 5-8 minute walk away from Gaisano Mall, 3-minute ride to the China town, 2-minute ride to the city's money changer area, 6-minute ride to Victoria Plaza and Abreeza Mall. 12-minute ride to SM City and 12-minute ride to SM Premiere.

Great family run place”
My husband and I stayed at Piazza Luna Tower for a total of 3 nights. The rooms were very comfortable with great beds (with lots of pillows!), a hot shower, a strong internet connection and great AC. The best part of the hotel is the family that runs it. It is completely family run and they take a genuine interest in you and making sure you feel comfortable. We would definitely stay again!

Central location, new, great service”
piazza luna is a newer hotel with very modern features. the rooms are on the small side, but the bathrooms are ok and there is a lot of closet space. the ac units work great and aren't too noisy. there is no elevator so if stairs are a problem ask for a low floor. the roof deck gives great views over the city especially mt. apo if it is clear. you can walk or take tricycle/taxi most places very easily from there. i walked most places it is a very safe area (but all of davao is safe).

when it comes to staying in smaller accommodations, guests are always after the homey atmosphere. piazza luna has achieved just that, thanks to the warm reception of its owners. they personally attend to your every need and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. truth be told, the location is wee bit hard to find. but the rest of the small hotel makes up for it, anyway.

A basic and small dormitel,but with the best wifi”
The room was small. There's a very big closet with no use to us. The CR was small. There was no division between the toilet and shower area 'cause of its size. The wifi speed was the fastest in all hotels I have stayed! I was able to complete some work-related stuff. :) I love spacious room. But if I have to go back to Davao and bring some work with me, I will be back in Piazza Luna for its internet speed.

I especially enjoyed the fast internet here. It's always nice to go downstairs and have a chat with the owner and his family. They have two cute and cuddly dogs also! Overall, it was a pleasant night and I would come back here if in Davao again.

A very good hotel quite new. Rooms are nice and quiet, with aircon, hot shower, TV, good matress. It's a family business and they are so kind. Ask them for anything about the place and they will give you good advices. You can buy drinks and more at the little shop just near the hotel. I strongly recommend this place.

The hotel is cute and nice place to stay. Not grand as 5-star hotel but very good in hotel service. The hotel atmosphere is homey. People are nice and courteous. Convenient for city shopping establishments and restaurants . Quiet environment.

value for money with great owners”
Owners were very warm and gave tips on where to go/eat and how to get there. Loved the dogs ginger and ashley,though a bit wary because of the once or twice growling. Rooms were very clean and cozy,with hotel-like doors secured by key cards.

We stayed for two nights--I can vouch better comfort in the room with the matrimonial bed. For a cheap stay, the bed is plush and comfy, albeit small. Everything else is straightforward. There is no lift, for example. But, in time, the place will grow on you because the owners are nice and warm.

plaza luna was moderately accessible, with a number of sights within walking distance. unfortunately, it rained while i was visiting and i didn't get to go to the beach with the host family. ginger the dog was absolutely adorable.

Clean rooms and found in the middle of everything!”
What I love about the location is it takes you 10-20 minutes to get to anywhere, whether it be at the airport, samal island wharfs, crocodile farm, markets, etc. The rooms are new, comfortable bed, nice tv and cable, hot water, and best of all, free wifi in the comfort of your room! I'd recommend this place to travelers whether you are solo, a couple or a family. The only thing is, you have to really take a cab for 5-10 minutes to find a decent restaurant to eat at.

Check in was fast, the owner is accomodating on our requests like we asked to have water brought to our room & she allowed us to keep some of our food on their fridge. Room has towels & some toiletries. The con is the very small bathroom..everything gets wet inside the cr once u take a shower

dormitel was a pleasant place to stay. although away from the main street, accessibility to taxis was a bit of a challenge. i had to walk a block to the main street to catch one. location wise, it's not in a nice neighborhood and is surrounded by old buildings. for the money, it's definitely a pleasant place to stay.
